  1. Why cant England hold a GP as well as the British GP ? It could be held at Coventry easily or maybe this new venture at Leicester that is believed to be even bigger. They could even call it the Commonwealth GP to make sure its PC and should gain a good crowd. Would like to see Landshut or Pocking in Germany added as well as Vojens which would make it a 14 -15 meeting series.
  2. Wasn't this the meeting Peter Karlsson is attempting to ride in to see if his collar bone holds up ? 1 ANDERSEN Hans N., Dánsko 2 BJERRE Kenneth, Dánsko 3 HANSEN Kenneth, Dánsko 4 MONBERG Jesper B., Dánsko 5 ADAMS Leigh, Austrálie 6 HOLDER Chris, Austrálie 7 WARD Darcy, Austrálie 8 WATT Davey, Austrálie 9 WALLNER Fritz, Rakousko 10 PAVLIC Jurica, Chorvatsko 11 HARRIS Chris, Velká Británie 12 HOLTA Rune, Polsko 13 HEFENBROCK Christian, Německo 14 SCHULTZ Mathias, Německo 15 HAUPT Roberto, Německo 16 SULLIVAN Ryan, Austrálie 17 FERJAN Matej, Maďarsko 18 MILANESE Alessandro, Itálie 19 ULAMEK Sebastian, Polsko 20 WALASEK Grzegorz, Polsko 21 GAFUROV Renat, Rusko 22 GIZATULLIN Denis, Rusko 23 ŠANTEJ Izák, Slovinsko 24 ŽAGAR Matej, Slovinsko 25 LINDGREN Fredrik, Švédsko 26 ZETTERSTRÖM Magnus, Švédsko 27 DRYML Aleš, Česká republika 28 DRYML Lukáš, Česká republika 29 FRANC Josef, Česká republika 30 JAROŠ Jan, Česká republika 31 KŮS Matěj, Česká republika 32 MÁLEK Martin, Česká republika 33 SUCHÁNEK Tomáš, Česká republika 34 ŠITERA Filip, Česká republika 35 ŠTICHAUER Hynek, Česká republika 36 TOPINKA Tomáš, Česká republika N1 MILÍK Václav, Česká republika N2 PETRÁK Jaroslav, Česká republik
  3. Yes Tai made the mistake in his first ride as Hougaard on gate one moved, Tai went a touch further and into the tapes. As for the run-off .... its hard to beat one rider let alone two with a puncture !!!
  4. Well after that result I would love to see Darcy Ward and Tai Woffinden in the GP's next year with this years top 10 and the 3 qualifiers. Emil won his first at 17 and then won it again the next year but opted out this year .... Think Darcy and Tai will be the big two next year in this as well but Maciej Janowski will also be looking back at that one race that cost him today. 1. Michał Mitko - 1,0,1,1,F = 3 2. Nicolai Klindt - 3,1,3,2,1 = 10 3. Jurica Pavlic - 2,2,2,3,3 = 12+3 4. Ludvig Lindgren - 0,1,0,0,0 = 0 5. Patrick Hougaard - 3,2,2,2,3 = 12+2 6. Simon Gustafsson - 0,E,3,3,1 = 7 7. Tai Woffinden - T,3,3,3,3 = 12+1 8. Maciej Janowski - 2,3,X,3,3 = 11 9. Darcy Ward - 3,3,3,2,2 = 13 10. Grzegorz Zengota - F,3,2,1,2 = 8 11. Ricky Wells - 1,0,0,0,1 = 2 12. Lewis Bridger - 2,2,1,2,0 = 7 13. Kenni Larsen - 2,1,1,1,2 = 7 14. Thomas H. Jonasson - 3,2,1,F,N = 6 15. Artiom Laguta - 1,1,0,1,1 = 4 16. Wiaczesław Gieruckis - F,0,2,0,0 = 2 R1. Jozsef Tabaka - 1,2 = 3
  5. Whatever the price ..... he will fit in well at Wolves next year with Tai and Nicolai
  6. A Wolves 5-1 required .... Shame though as if that happens, The winner gets a chance of the title but second would fail to make the rostrum even !!! C'Mon the Wolves !!!
  7. Looks like Tai will be cursing that tapes exclusion .... still he can help Nicolai in heat 18 and force a run-off
  8. Darcy is running the show, but Heat 18 could swing it all around ..... Ward - Klindt - Woffinden ....
  9. Heat 18 could be interesting .... Klindt, Ward and Woffinden .....
  10. Report from trackside. Nicolai Klindt won heat 1 with a big lead over Pavlic while Tai was excluded for touching the tapes.
  11. Nicolai Klindt wins heat 1 against Pavlic ..... Get in there Nic Tai Woffinden excluded from heat 2 ~ tapes ~ Hougaard wins the race Grzegorz Zengota falls in heat 3, race won by Darcy Ward Heat 4 a win for Thomas H Johansson ahead of Kenni Larsen 3 = Nicolai Klindt, Patrick Hougaard, Darcy Ward, Thomas H Johansson 2 = Jurica Pavlic, Maciej Jankowski, Lewis Bridger, Kenni Larsen 1 = Michal Mitko, Jozsef Tabaka, Ricky Wells, Artem Laguta 0 = Ludvig Lindgren, Simon Gustafsson, Tai Woffinden, Grzegorz Zengota and Wiaczesław Gieruckis
  12. Looks like people are getting wise to the fact that Emil is the man to beat here this year .... Wonder if the bookies are when they release the odds .... Think Gollob will be odds on with Emil around 2/1 or 5/2 Emil is my captain as he has been most of the season. Emil to win with 23 points ahead of Gollob on 21 points and Crump to score just 4 points ...... What a 3 man run-off for the title that would be !!!
  13. The World U21 Final is today in Croatia 1 Michal Mitko PZM Poland 2 Nicolai Klindt DMU Denmark 3 Jurica Pavlic HMS Croatia 4 Ludvig Lindgren SVEMO Sweden 5 Patrick Hougaard DMU Denmark 6 Simon Gustafsson SVEMO Sweden 7 Tai Woffinden ACU Great Britain 8 Maciej Janowski PZM Poland 9 Darcey Ward MA Australia 10 Grzegorz Zengota PZM Poland 11 Przemyslaw Pawlicki PZM Poland 12 Lewis Bridger ACU Great Britain 13 Kenni Larsen DMU Denmark 14 Thomas H Jonasson SVEMO Sweden 15 Artem Laguta MFR Russia 16 Vjacheslavs Giruckis LaMSF Latvia 17 Linus Eklöf SVEMO Sweden (Reserve rider) 18 Wells Ricky AMA USA (Reserve rider) The track is owned by the Pavlic family, so Jurica Pavlic starts as favourite, but on current form he will have to go some to beat Tai Woffinden. Darcy Ward, Lewis Bridger, Patrick Hougaard, Grzegorz Zengota and Nicolai Klindt are likely to be close to the top but there may be a few shocks from Artem Laguta, Maciej Jankowski or Prz Pawlicki .... Even atfter this you have some quality riders in Kenni Larsen, Thomas H Johansson and Simon Gustafsson Shame its not in England as this would be a much better meeting than the ELRC was yesterday ! LIVE UPDATES
  14. Pleased to see Leigh rewarded with the title to add to his Pairs title he has won with Swindon ..... Makes up for NEVER winning anything as a Team !!! Sadly though people are now remembering this event as the meeting many drop out of and this year the one that couldn't field 16 riders !
  15. Can just see the parade tonight .... Riding at #7 is ..... the reserves !! Really hope Freddie wins this, but its not the same competition it used to be with so many good riders missing.
  16. The top 10 from this years series will be back in, plus the three qualifiers which only leaves two more wild cards. Matej Zagar will be a firm favourite to get one place which would mean only one British rider in 2010 with Tai Woffinden most likely to show that England also has a highly talented 19 year old. Holder, Zagar, Woffinden and Hampel are good replacements for Walasek, Adams, Harris and Ulamek while Zetterstrom is about right for Nicholls !
  17. Tiger Tom was a friend of the families and often came around to our house still with his bike on the back of his car. I have a few photo's of him on my computer, but would be interested to know where I can download or get prints of him at anytime during his career.
  18. Jonsson was without doubt a brilliant rider during that time, but Sam after his serious injuries was better than ever and in 92 and 93 he made the art of speedway look simple. I seem to recall that when Per actually won the title in 1990, he was only averaging 8+ here and I think Gundersen was the same when he won his first 2 titles (but some of that was down to tape exclusions to lower his average )
  19. Could I please question your scores as I think there may be some mistakes around ? SCORES AFTER ROUND 10 - ITALIAN SGP ******************************************************************************** T.N.T. 680 ******************************************************************************** SCORES AFTER ROUND 9 - SLOVENIAN SGP ******************************************************************************** T.N.T. 604 This indicates that I scored 76 points in Italy ? Jason Crump 4 Tomasz Gollob 23+5 Rune Holta 8 Fredrik Lindgren 6 Emil Sayfutdinov © 22 Should my score in Italy be 68 ?
  20. Why oh Why did he pick Gate 2 in the Semi-Final ? With Andersen taking Yellow, he should either have gone next to him in White or gone for Gate 1. Having AJ next to him off Gate 2 wrecked his chances on the first corner and its pretty hard to pass three riders that are all scoring well. Had Emil scored 14-20 points last night, then the difference could have been as little as 10 points and while everyone goes on about Gollob and Bydgoszcz ..... remember who rides there every week and practices there when he can ! If Crumpy struggles again, both Emil and Tomasz are capable of scoring 20+ points in the final round and the final scores could make it appear the top three are very close ...... still think Crumpy will get the 7 or 8 points needed to take the title ..... just !
  21. If that was the case, you could end up with 5 from one team, 4 from another and one each from the other seven teams ..... Each team has to have one representative and with PK qualifying as one of the second best, if he cant ride it should be made available to another member from that team .... Adam Skornicki !
  22. Well Crump looks like he wont be in after all, so who would take his place ?
  23. A few late ones on here though Good job Emil is my captain anyway .... C'Mon Emil
  24. Think he will do well to score more than 5 tonight and a score of 14+ from Emil could make the final round very interesting
