You should try and get the best 15 riders you can in the GP Series. After the 3 qualifiers have been decided then you make sure the best 12 riders are also in and that means Hans Andersen, Nicki Pedersen, Emil Sayfutdinov, Fredrik Lindgren and Andreas Jonsson should get wild cards if needed

Speedway World Cup 2010
T.N.T. replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Event 1 is almost a waste of a meeting. Poland will win by miles with Denmark and Russia way ahead of Czech Republic Event 2 is interesting as Finland will finish last but any of the 3 could win it and those that dont get straight through will have a tough match then v Denmark and Russia who could be a suprise packet ! -
Disappointing World Cup?
T.N.T. replied to Rob B's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I understand that Australia have some very good young riders on the scene now, but I was disapointed that Jason Crump and Leigh Adams aren't riding in this years WTC as they would be favourites to win and finish Mr Mildura/Clean's career off with an FIM Gold Medal. Crump, Adams, Holder, Schlein, Batchelor .... Ward, Watt, Shields, Proctor -
Sorry about there being no Dragon .... Wife didn't make it this year ! As the British GP was on the same weekend then there was little chance of either happening.

Sunday Times Piece On British Gp
T.N.T. replied to DEEG's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
As there was no contact and Nicki leading I would have called it the same way which is hard on Davey who was just racing. Nicki didn't take exception on Hans .... it was the other way as Nicki clearly went back to riding the rider instead of the race. -
Cardiff Grand Prix
T.N.T. replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Sat in great seats again M6 just above the pits entrance and thought it was a great night. Not searching through all the posts and comments but can some answer me the following question Q ~ Isnt FIM a meeting where All 4 Back isnt a choice ? .... If so how did Crumpy get a second chance when he fell without being touched ? -

the upper tier looked more full than in previous years to me and I would have said it was at least 45,000 Good that some newspapers got involved -
British Speedway Gp V British F1 Gp
T.N.T. replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I too would much rather watch the Speedway rather than F1 even on telly, but then again I would much rather watch Rye House v Birmingham than Chelsea v Aston Villa too. Millions of other people around the world have the other view and while it would be great for speedway to have crowds of 10,000 plus (even though most couldn't hold that amount), its possibly the rawness of the sport that makes it special to us petrolheads. Also if speedway did become a multi million pound sport, could you see any promoter wanting a rider they pay £20,000 a meeting (which is what it would lead to), ride anywhere other than for them !! -

British Riders In The Gp's
T.N.T. replied to Topcat's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
You don't have to sing the National Anthem to be patriotic .... maybe they are not up to the standards of Mr Gollob and co but I felt all 3 gave battling performances and some great passes. Tai started slowly but 6 from his last 3 riders were great -
British Riders In The Gp's
T.N.T. replied to Topcat's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Yes there are no British riders up there challenging as they are not in the same class as the top boys and quite frankly the only Brit that ever has challenged since the GP's started has been Mark Loram as this country no longer brings new talent through. The easy answer is right in front of you .... Too many crap foreign riderds over here that started with 7.00 averasges and now average 3.00 and fill up the reserve spots that should be given to British riders. If a rider cant obtain his assessed average then he clearly isnt good enough and if they were to return then they would have to keep that average until they reach that level. Would promoters continue to bring back riders like Max Dilger, Klaus Jacobsen etc if they still had 8.00 averages ? -
Cardiff Fanzone & Timings
T.N.T. replied to andyevans's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Thought the idea in general was brilliant, it didnt help with some roadworks around as walking space was tight with the crowds gathering. Titan the Robot was very good, certainly drew people in and it was weird seeing riders just a few hours from appearing in the biggest event of the year out on the streets with Tai Woffinden even doing that massive spinning thing four hours before tapes up. Wuld have been nice having them interviewed on a stage as you could only just herar them, but couldnt see them sitting down behind the crowds. As for the start girls .... Yellow was quite pretty but didn't think much of their heat by heat so called routine and thought in general they were false, barbie made up and not exactly attractive ..... there are some beautiful girls out there in England that could do this job and I would certainly give them 4 much better girls if they wanted British next year. -
Are these still for sale ? Anyone has spare tickets, post on here to keep it on one thread
