  1. Obviuosly I would love Fredrik Lindgren to win this but for his years of service it would be great if Leigh Adams can go out in style and lift the title. Although he has had a poor season, I think Peter Karlsson could be a suprise runner for this as he loves the EoES track and is a match for Bjerre and the others. Kasprzak, Holder and Harris are also strong contenders along with Bjerre. Would like .......... 1 ~ Fredrik Lindgren 2 ~ Peter Karlsson 3 ~ Leigh Adams Prediction ........ 1 ~ Chris Harris 2 ~ Chris Holder 3 ~ Kenneth Bjerre
  2. Gollob, Crump, Hampel, Bjerre, Holta, Hancock, Holder, Harris ... Laguta, Lindback, Lindgren ... Sayfutdinov, Jonsson, Andersen, Pedersen. Kolodiej first reserve due to Qualifier Darcy Ward may be thought of for a place after his second WU21 title just as Emil was ... if he does it will be at the expense of AJ or Andersen but think they will stay with the experience of AJ and Hans.
  3. I reckon the 2011 GP line up will be .... 1 ~ Tomasz Gollob 2 ~ Jarek Hampel 3 ~ Jason Crump 4 ~ Rune Holta 5 ~ Kenneth Bjerre 6 ~ Greg Hancock 7 ~ Chris Harris 8 ~ Chris Holder 9 ~ Artem Laguta 10 ~ Antonio Lindback 11 ~ Fredrik Lindgren 12 ~ Nicki Pedersen 13 ~ Hans Andersen 14 ~ Andreas Jonsson 15 ~ Emil Sayfutdinov 16 ~ WILD CARD 17 ~ 18 ~ Track Reserves 19 ~ Janusz Kolodiej Emil is gauranteed a selection while the Series wouldn't be the same without Nicki P who has had a bad year and injuries keeping him back from claiming a top 8 spot. When you look around at the World Class riders, there isn't anyone better than AJ and Hans and they can both still mix it with the best and on their day make the rostrum. As Janusz Kolodiej is first reserve, then he will probably get a few rides any way but being Polish Champion now he may get a call up but would they want a fourth Pole as well as a Russian ? Can't see how Britain can be given a Wild Card as Scott Nicholls has proved year after year he isnt up to it and looks much better now he is out of the circus while Tai will get another chance in the future.
  4. I am pleased he has gained a World Title in honour of all the entertainment and excitement he has given over all the years, but seriously Jason Crump and Nicki Pedersen must rate above him and winning the World Title has put him alongside Greg Hancock in the GP Series all time greats. Hopefully Tomasz will be over next year to ride in this country !
  5. For me Yes ..... Gollob, Sayfutdinov, Lindgren, Crump Heat 19 could be a good battle with AJ, Hampel, Lindgren, Hancock. 1 - Nicki Pedersen 2 - Hans Andersen 3 - Andreas Jonsson 4 - Kenneth Bjerre 5 - Matt Carbonasi 6 - Jaroslaw Hampel 7 - Chris Harris 8 - Tai Woffinden 9 - Magnus Zetterstrom 10 - Davey Watt 11 - Jason Crump 12 - Fredrik Lindgren 13 - Greg Hancock 14 - Rune Holta 15 - Chris Holder 16 - Tomasz Gollob
  6. Fat approaching October and we are still on the Quarter Finals (last 8) in a competition with 9 teams entered !! Wolves rode the prelims in April, then mid July fo the 1st leg and have to wait 2 months for he second leg with just 5 weeks left of the season which is now rained off !!
  7. Would be interested in ordering one, may contact you via PM if I can order a bigger amount.
  8. They have used techno / electric remixes of Metallica's Enter The Sandman and ACDC's Back In Black before which are quite different to the original tracks ?
  9. Still a bit of a dilemma here. Pedersen falls under pressure from Lindgren .... with no contact happening between the two If the referee allows Gollob to cross the line ..... then surely he would have to call the order at the time Gollob went over the line ..... this would have meant Zorro getting second and Nicki awarded third.
  10. As races are not awarded in Grand Prixs ..... Can anyone explain why Nicki was awarded 2nd place when he fell under the challenge of Fredrik Lindgren. I dont think there was actually any contact, but even so, Nicki was awarded 2nd ahead of Zorro who did complete the race where as Nicki just walked back to the pits.
  11. Yet in the Nordic GP, Nicki Pedersen was awarded 2nd place when he fell on the last bend and never completed the race. Even if Gollob had already crossed the line when the red lights had come on, then the only result they could have called was Gollob, Zetterstron and no other finishers.
  12. Belle Vue = Sitera and Wright Coventry = KK and Harris Ippo = Nicholls and King Eagles = Kling and Woodward Lakeside = Shields and Jonas Peterborough = Niels and Bjerre Poole = Holder and Bjarne Swindon = Mads and Stead Wolves = Tai and Klindt No Andersen, PK, Adams, Zagar, Lindgren, Richardson, Kylmakorpi even ..... at least it looks stronger than the ELRC has been in recent seasons
  13. What a line up !! Best Wishes to the England team but Sweden, Poland and Denmark all look strong. Woffinden, Hougaard, Gustafsson, Mroczka ..... some good battles likely here.
  14. Maybe if you actually READ the posts you will see what is written !
  15. Think he woke up this morning feeling pretty good ! Hasn't booked his place but certainly has given them something to worry about. Before this round I would have said Tai was looking to be the only Brit next season, but Bomber is now favourite if there is only 1 Brit but only a top 8 will secure that ! Gollob, Crump and Hampel are safe while Holta and Bjerre should be ok due to earlier results. The next 3 will be interesting with Bomber, Herbie, Holder, Lindgren, Jonsson and Andersen all in contention while one big performance by Nicki could see him jump up the order. Much will depend on Lindgren's final position as a top 8 position would give Janusz Kolodiej a Wild Card place to join Emil Sayfutdinov so only 3 Wild Cards would be left for any from Bomber, Herbie, Holder, Jonsson, Andersen, Pedersen and Woffinden who still could be the only Brit nomination but unlikely with Bomber getting 2 podium finishes lately. Laguta and Linback would take positions 14 and 15 next season.
  16. Well Done to Greg and Bomber on some great racing with Bomber getting some great passes. Both are now in the top 8 and despite another final place, Freddie stays in 9th place and falls further away from the top 8 ! Hans, AJ and Nicki are the riders looking shadows of their previous self and will likely be the names in the pot for one of the 3 Wild Card places up for grabs as Emil is already secured one place. Bjerre's early season form may just save him from falling out of the top 8 and Noddy keeps getting around 8 each GP which may be enough to stay in. REF ~ Can understand in a way why he stopped the Crump/AJ race as AJ stopped Crump's race there and then and had Crump ground to a halt, an exclusion or engine failure can be damaging on the count back. The rider who suffered most from it was Fredrik Lindgren but at the end of the day, it didn't affect the top four scorers order any way. As for the Gollob/Holta incident ..... If the referee had excluded Gollob after the race then there would have been a bigger can of worms opened. 1 ~ A rider can't be awarded a point .... so Holta would still have got 0 points 2 ~ Had he excluded Gollob, then Holta would have to be given a re-run as the race had not finished when he was bought down and even if he was 50 yards behind, there would still be a chance of a rider packing up in front of him. Overall a pretty decent GP but they should really try and mix some clay into that sand track and it could be a really great track for racing.
  17. GO FREDDIE !!!! No pressure and his Elite League form shows up !
  18. Emil is already lined up for the 2011 Series and Nicki will be given a place if he finishes out of the top 8 and he will snap their hands off too as his sponsors wouldn't back him so much riding in just Sweden and Poland. As for Greg, I think he too would get a WC if he does well in thelast four GP's as they already have Emil 21 and Artem 19 in next years series and I'm confident Tai 20 will be the only Brit on show next year, so they have enough young blood in there already. Janusz Kolodiej IS in the top 15 riders in the world easily SWEDEN = 6th with 8.46 ............. POLAND = 4th with 8.89 Not a chance .... Freddie wants to finish well and is setting his sights on the final in each round left. Target to reach as close to 100 points as possible from 54 at present
  19. I would say given his age, potential and only had 1 year in the Series, if they only picked one Brit next year I would have thought they would give it to Tai rather than Bomber .... in fact Scott is probably ahead of Bomber too. Janusz Kolodiej will get in the GP's if (When) Fredrik Lindgren finishes in the Top 8 this year They said the same about Emil in his debut season ..... finished 3rd !! Russia will have a round in 2012 for sure !
  20. Kolodiej gets a place There are 4 Wild Cards ..... Emil is assured of one as is Nicki should he finish outside the top 8 .... so that leaves just 2 Pick from Hancock, Harris, Woffinden or possibly even AJ
  21. Well Bomber looks destined to miss out here if he cant even beat Karpov. 3 points on the board for Artem, Freddie and Janusz
  22. 1. Grigory Laguta, 2. Freddie Lindgren, 3. Grzegorz Walasek, 4. Tomasz Gapinski, 5. Magnus Zetterstrom, 6. Leon Madsen, 7. Sebastian Ulamek, 8. Janusz Kolodziej, 9. Chris Harris, 10. Andrey Karpov, 11. Antonio Lindback, 12. Artem Laguta, 13. Roman Povazhny, 14. Niels Kristian Iversen, 15. Thomas H Jonasson, 16. Simon Stead, R1. Lukas Dryml, R2. Adrian Miedzinski. Janusz Kolodiej .... He isn't too far off the capabilities of Jarek Hampel or Thomasz Gollob and showed that in the WTC and would be able to hold his own in the GP's much more than Lindback, Iversen and Stead would be able to do. I'm hoping Freddie gets in the top 8 anyway as he hasnt had a great GP Series until the last round and despite that is only one point behind eighth placed AJ. A top 3 finish here would take the pressure off and hopefully leave an extra wild card place to go to Emil, AJ, Hancock or Nicki who coul all miss out on the top 8. Lindgren, Harris and Kolodiej for me would be the best three to qualify without doubt.
  23. Mark Woram ... Tai Loffinden ... Fredrik Windgren ... Owe Owsen ... Weon Madsen ... Michaew Wee ... Who was the Greatest Football Player of All Time ..... George Best or PeWe Its Fredrik Lindgren .... not FredriF
  24. Add Fisher to the line up and apart from Kalle, Ryan, Matt and Kevin all looked good and showed why Monarchs are riding high in the PL this year and before last nights great display from Ipswich, I would have said the two teams were not worlds apart. Joe's bikes were being worked on all night through out the meeting. After not scoring what he had wanted, he finally made a great gate in his last race to hit the front but as he went down the back straight the power just drained and all three went past him going into the bend. If you noticed, Joe was actually getting the speed in the final lap or two, but by then the race was over. Spent the early part of the evening with Ivan and it was a pleasure to chat to him and his wife about Ivan's career and family. Interesting that the famous "Winged Wheel" that was presented at World Finals was supposed to be given to Ivan when he won his third title (68,69,70) but they decided not to after the third win. When he equalled Fundins five total in 1977 then he got to keep the famous trophy which is back home in New Zealand (not Aussie). Great spending time with a true legend and as Stevebrum says, a nice guy to boot. After Masters display last night ..... I would say his choice of tracks has dropped by one now any way !! Ty may be a tough rider, but if Sam has plans of making it in the big world at Speedway then he will get much rougher rides against the big boys and a simple quite word would have been enough and learnt from the experience instead of lashing out and shouting off to which he was duly controlled when spoken too shortly after.
  25. Thos are my three that I hope will get through ..... Wish Artem all the best but hope he gets there in 12 months time instead !!
