  1. Never write off Herbie or Crumpy, but I can see Emil Sayfutdinov, Jarek Hampel and Andreas Jonsson being the main contenders with those two with Gollob, Lindgren and Holder the next three in the leaderboard ..... If I had to pick one it would be Hampel who I backed last season to take the title also.

  3. Grigory Laguta and Fredrik Lindgren leading the team with Nermark and Zengota ..... glad to see Freddie getting a team place
  4. With a team like that you are looking at a wage bill of roughly £15,000 - £20,000 a meeting plus travel costs and then the cst of running the stadium, so in all around £30,000 probaly. At £15 a head for adults you are looking at needing 2,000 paying adults to break even at least, plus then you have the costs of paying riders for away meetings, adding probably around £15,000 again. So 1 home and 1 away meeting would cost roughly £45,000 which then takes it to a break even crowd of 3,000 for every meeting. This is only a very rough figure and you could easily be looking at increasing the figure to over 4,000 each week to make a profit or make it woth while for a promoter to contemplate putting such a team together. How many tracks in Britain can boast a crowd of 2,000 each week ? ...... I would hazard a guess at roughly four or five at most and therefore most tracks would be losing roughly £20,000 a meeting if they had such a team over here ..... thats around £1,000,000 a season in the red. Even Roman Abromovich would think twice about losing that sort of money each year ! NOTE; Only one Swedish rider in the line up !!! .... Letting the young Swedes learn their trade in the lower leagues first and not forcing them to ride in the top league
  5. I think the scoring is much better as it is now .... maybe offer the winner 10pts instead though
  6. Poland are playing a game with the sport in general saying YOU NEED US !! Darcy no doubt played the GP's to get a bigger deal in Poland !! They always say things come in 3's ...... lets see if Darcy gets his way at the AGM too ! Its a sad fact that in many sports now that competitors are driven by the money side of things rather than the ambition to reach the top. Thankfully we will always have riders like Freddie Lindgren, Nicki Pedersen etc etc that have had to move teams in Poland rather than miss the ultimate dream of trying to be World Champion Hope the BSI dont offer Ward, Pepe, Zagar, Vaculik etc any Wild Cards in 2012
  7. Antonio Lindback is a rider often linked with a return to England having spent most of his time at Poole before returning for a bad spell at Belle Vue where he soon retired from the sport. His average at Poole finished on 7.94 but at Belle Vue he had just 11 meetings scoring 73 points from 48 rides. He had a 3h3a average of just 4.15 and a short spell at reserve where he did score a bit better before leaving. As that was 2007 it remains to be seen on what average he would return on. Would they go off his last 28 matches which would make him around seven points a match or would he be reassessed as a Grand Prix rider at 8.00 ? As for Laguta .... Grigory would start on a 5.00 average while Artem would have started 2011 as a GP rider on 8.00 but as he no longer rides in the GP's you would have to go off his Swedish or Polish average which arent great so he should start on a 4.00 as would Maksim Bogdanovs.
  8. Will Protasciewicz not have actually agreed to this sort of clause when competing at Vetlanda in the Challenge Final? If he has, surely the FIM won't just allow him to pull out and then also allow him to ride in league racing in this way, will they? He may have but since then the PZM have changed their rules that seriously affects his occupation and income if he was to continue in the Grand Prix Series and as it is reported he has a contract at Zielona Gora until 2015 so he should also be entitled to honour that contract. The FIM dont have the power to over rule the PZM about letting him carry on at ZG with another GP rider and if the PZM allowed him to do so then where does that leave riders that are already agreeing or looking at deals elsewhere due to the 1GP rule
  9. PK, Zorro, Nicholls, Watt or Ulamek, Ljung, Buczkowski, Madsen not saying its a perfect line up, but I would rather see my 4 riders racing and being interviwed rather than the other 4
  10. Pepe looks sure to pull out to stay at ZG with Andreas Jonsson .... Will Bjarne Pedersen do likewise ? .... Fredrik Lindgren will be looking for a place elsewhere if need be and has the luxury of English racing to fall back on like Bjarne to compensate for less Polish meetings or a drop in leagues Darcy Ward has yet to decide fully what he is doing, but wouldn't be suprised to see him end up at Gdansk Nicki Pedersen has been dropped by Gorzow and may drop to the Ist Division if need be while Matej Zagar has stated he wants to stay at Gorzow rather than take part in the GP circus Next in line would be Martin Vaculik .... who has indicated he would rather stay in the Extra League and with Tarnow set to sign Greg Hancock there is only Gdansk (Darcy Ward), Wroclaw and Czestochowa who have yet to have a GP rider Then comes KrzysZtof Kasprzak ... currently at Tarnow Next in line is Peter Ljung, then Leon Madsen, Sebatian Ulamek, Krzysztof Buczkowski, Jesper B Monberg and Joonas Kylmakorpi ... not really GP riders !! Looking at the names above, I would say it would be better all around if places were first offerd to riders like Magnus Zetterstrom, Peter Karlsson, Davey Watt and Scott Nicholls
  11. Greg Hancock is at Tarnow next season with AJ getting the nod at Zielona Gora .... so where will Pepe (ZG), Freddie and Bjarne (T) be now in 2012 .... looks like Div 1 for most
  12. A good line up for this one and possibly the largest crowd of the season too. Freddie was back on his true Monmore form and eased through his rides dropping his only point to Scott Nicholls who yet again put on a battling display around The Green proving he is much better than his 7.5 average suggests and will no doubt have a long list of clubs interested in him next season if the one 8+ rule stays in place. Bomber too showed his liking for the WV2 circuit and his only bleamish was his fall when in a comfortable scoring position but those dropped points ensured his chances of winning had gone. Ty Proctor was steady and picked up some extra points when Tyson Nelson shed a chain on the final turn of heat 12, Bomber fell in heat 15 and Nicolai drifted too wide in heat 17. Iversen and Klindt did well after both getting excluded in heat 1 and PK can feel unlucky not to have had a podium finish after wrongly being excluded in heat 11 when Iversen forced him to fall entering turn one while Barker battled well with some wide moves close to the air fence. Salamsson and Morris were really the whipping boys but both were involved in the action with Wells, Ludvig and Nelson having some decent rides. That leaves 17 year old Polish rider, Lukasz Sowka who struggles to gate but once going, riswa well and was on the pace with some decent scorers. Good to see Hans Nielsen again who still looks the same weight as when he retired.
  13. The Greatest rider of all time in my opinion, HANS NIELSEN will be guest of honour.
  14. There will be points deducted for those that dont post next season and there may well be a few changes too I will also be looking at starting an Elite League comp too, but we have to see what teams and riders are around first.
  15. You were moving up the table a bit until the final round when most scored minus points ... those that didnt post scored 0 ..... relegating you to LAST !!
  16. I did say that I heard they were TALKING about there being a limit on riders from one country Personally I cant see it happening as one country could have four or five top riders an it would be wrong to limit them ... for me its the best 12 riders plus 3 qualifiers that should be in the GP's IMO The top 10 should be seeded leaving just 2 wild card nominations and a Wild Card at each event

  18. Darcy Ward will NOT be in the Grand Prix next season by the looks of it now. ... He would be crazy to turn down a regular team place in Poland alongside Chris Holder, roughly 18 big pay days with hardly any costs. Travelling around on the GP Series take a big investment and travelling arrangements. One thing that is going to throw things wide open though is that they are talking about limiting each country to THREE riders maximum .... Poland will have Gollob, Pepe and Jarek .... Sweden - AJ, Freddie and Antonio ...... then you have Bjerre, Nicki and Bjarne from Denmark..... Australia - Crump, Holder and ? .... , Emil from Russia, Greg from USA Thats 13 riders with no more allowed from Denmark, Sweden and Poland. 14 - Chris Harris - England The final place then to ..... ?
  19. Same 4 riders but different views .... Lets hope heat 15 contains those 4 !!! GOOD LUCK to both ...... and C'MON THE BUDGIES
  20. PLAY - OFF FINAL will be the title decider then for Stilton Panther and noggin Each pick FOUR riders and predict what they will score on Monday .... get it correct you get 3 points ... minus scores for every point out NOTE; You mush have at least ONE rider from each team ! in the event of a tie, the one with the most bonus points will win.
  21. NOGGIN ..... STILTON PANTHER If you both agree to a play off and post before 11.30am today ..... I want you to pick 4 of these riders in todays final round of the World Under 21's 11 Przemysław Pawlicki (Polska) 12 Darcy Ward (Australia) 5 Bartosz Zmarzlik (Polska) 8 Michael Jepsen Jensen (Dania) 2 Wadim Tarasienko (Rosja) 6 Simon Gustafsson (Szwecja) 3 Aleksandr Łoktajew (Ukraina) 12 Maciej Janowski (Polska) 9 Dennis Andersson (Szwecja) 10 Piotr Pawlicki (Polska) 8 Patryk Dudek (Polska) 4 Vaclav Milik (Czechy) 2 Oskar Fajfer (Polska) 8 Mikkel Michelsen (Dania) 8 Mikkel B. Jensen (Dania) 12 Martin Vaculik (Słowacja) If one or both havent posted in time today ..... we will make it for the Poole v Eastbourne meeting on Monday night ! .... ok
  22. I suggest a play off for the title ..... Stilton Panther and Noggin .....are you up for it ?

  24. Obviously with the meeting finishing after 16 heats there is no points awarded for finalists ..... get ready for some big MINUS POINTS
