Got to be backing Chris Holder for the title as he has been the best rider this season and it's nice to see a rider that still rides in England lift the title after years of the title going to riders that have walked away. Time for a changing of the guard now with Holder, Sayfutdinov, Ward, MJJ, Vaculik and Lindgren becoming the riders in the next few yars when Crump, Gollob, Hancock etc have bowed out gracefully.

Will be great to watch Sam Ermolenko return to the track to ride in the Olympique on Tuesday 16th but before anyone starts, this is a one off and although he would love to be able to ride every week, his body wouldn't allow it so ...... Don't Miss It !!! Sam will not be just making up the numbers however and wants to score points in a meeting that has been used to test out new riders for next season ...... Nice to see Mikkel Michelsen in the line up now that he has finished his exams

TORUN GP PREDICTIONS With the race for the title a 2 (or possibly 3) horse race, you can earn extra points by predicting the finishing positions of the final top 8 riders .... Thats TOP 8 only. For each rider you get in the correct position, you will earn an extra THREE points. .... This could get you a bonus of 24 points added to your score and with Emil, Crumpy and Gollob so close, its hard to call let alone Antonio's end of season form with him just 8 behind Fredrik Lindgren and big points in the final heats could see him jump up a place. Who will you predict will be wearing the #1 race jacket next season ? ...... its all to play for ....... Get Predicting !! scores for predictions in RED 1 .... 13 ...... TORUN GP PREDICTIONS Here we go then with the final Grand Prix of the 2013 season and at the end we will be crowning the New Champion ...... but who ? Can Chrs Holder keep hold of his slender lead in the race for the title or will Nicki put his experience to the test and overhaul him in the run in ? ..... Lets no forget too that even if Chris and Nicki score well in the heats, Greg Hancock can retain his title if he at least matches them in the heats then goes on to win the semi and final. With a week to go we will find out tonight which three riders qualify for next years series and hopefully 2012 GP Winners, Martin Vaculik and Michael Jepsen will finish in the top three in Gorican leaving enough room for Tai Woffinden to be nominated as Britains sole rider in the 2013 Series and join Jarek Hampel and Darcy Ward in the picks. Until then its on with the show and as promised there is a sting in the tail with BONUS POINTS up for grabs. With the race for the title a 2 (or possibly 3) horse race, you can earn extra points by predicting the finishing positions of the final top 8 riders .... Thats TOP 8 only. After a pretty boring Vojens GP that only got going into the final heats, we saw Chris Holder almost surrender his lead and much the same happended here as my lead was cut after only managing to score 14 points after deciding not to go with MJJ and stick with Jarek Hampel. RIDERS SCORES IN VOJENS 9 Nicki Pedersen, 8 Michael Jepsen Jensen, 6 Emil Sayfutdinov, 4 Fredrik Lindgren, 3 Bjarne Pedersen, 3 Antonio Lindback, 2 Peter Ljung, 2 Jason Crump, 1 Greg Hancock, 0 Hans Andersen, 0 Andreas Jonsson, -2 Chris Holder, -2 Bjerre/Vaculik/KK, -2 Chris Harris, -3 Jarek Hampel, -3 Tomasz Gollob. BEST MANAGERS SCORES Best score from Vojens was 29 points scored by Pantherman who selected Emil, Crump, Antonio and MJJ. Next best on 28 was racers and royals and Screm while other good scores were homer 26, beercellar 24 and mdmc82 on 23 points. WORST MANAGERS SCORES All managers are given 10 points if they post on time, so any score under ten isn't too good. Only one manager scored less than ten and that was JamieE who scored 8 points. Scoring just 10 points were Phillipsr, Iceman and Bomber Hammer. LEADERBOARD after VOJENS 224 = T.N.T. 217 = cj69 214 = dontforgetthefueltapsbruv 203 = noggin 203 = mdmc82 196 = Mark246 195 = Screm 195 = Pantherman 193 = Rico 191 = Homer 191 = PhillipsSR 190 = beercellar 168 = WillamFJ 167 = Diamonds Rock 165 = Geoff Capes / JCookie / Avtar 156 = refereerick 156 = Brummie Kev 156 = iceman 154 = smiles 154 = Racers and Royals 150 = Gavan 146 = Gray 138 = Psycho3a 132 = Bomber Hammer 125 = JamieE 117 = Stilton Panther 112 = Hilly 107 = dump the clutch 96 = DUKEY BOY 96 = DeeksYaMahaga 93 = Robbie B 87 = Waihekeaces 67 = Bandits4Life 65 = SCB 63 = Kiwi 55 = PTW So we have just ONE Grand Prix left ...... Will Chris Holder hold on to his lead ? ...... Can anyone catch me ? ...... The simple answer is that its still wide open, but as this competition has shown in the past, a bad score can lose you BIG points and that wont be any different in the final round at Torun. There will be bonus points up for grabs and those could make a big difference, so anyone could get a score that will see them shoot up the leaderboard ..... possibly to the top spot !!! Will post on here soon what the predictions will be for Torun. -

How many names re you using ? ...... are you KKS in disguise Bjerre is in the starting line up .... if he is out, Vaculik replaces him .... if Vaculik out, then the replacement takes the place ! -
Firstly, you may have to rethink the averages as its very likely that the 28 match rolling average will be altered, so riders starting averages for next year may well be quite different. MJJ may well qualify for the GP Series and even if he doesnt, he is thought to be pretty high up the list of possible wild cards behind Jarek Hampel and Darcy Ward ..... Martin Vaculik and Tai Woffinden may be ahead of him too, so his best chance is to qualify rather than rely on the nominations. If he doesn't get in the GP's he may well ride here again. Mikkel B Jensen has already stated somewhere that he wont be looking at England next season and if you want to include Fisher, you have to find another doubling up rider. Which under 21's are only going to ride Poland, Sweden and Denmark ? Patryk Dudek .... Prez Pawlicki ,,,, Alek Loktaev .... Mikkel B Jensen .... Bartosz Zmarzlik ..... to name just a few 3 + 1 = ? From a distance I would say Peterborough will want to build their team around Sundstrom and MJJ if possible and would be looking at a NEW top rider ...... Maybe Neils K Iversen ? ...... maybe they are hoping the Holder/Ward and Woffinden/Lindgren partnerships are due to be broken up As for Kenneth Bjerre ? ..... he looks to have lost his way a bit and an 8+ average may not be a bargain

2012 Gp Predictor Game
T.N.T. replied to T.N.T.'s topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
PREDICTION FOR VOJENS - Dansk Metal Nordic GP There is only TWO rounds to go and true to the real GP's one person has emerged from the pack to take a respectable lead going into the last 46 races ...... but ask Chris Holder if he will be caught and the likely answer is something like he is only seconds away from his last point .... who nows what lies ahead. I will admit though that Chris Holder is the in form rider and that will show in the predicted scores, but as for the rest ..... its wide open as Geg Hancock could be anywhere from 7 - 21 points .... as could be Jason Crump, Nicki Pedersen and most of the top 8-10 riders. ..... So you have just under a week (6 days, 23 hours and roughly 45 minutes) to post or edit your four selections. 13 Chris Holder 11 Nicki Pedersen 10 Greg Hancock 10 Tomasz Gollob 9 Emil Sayfutdinov 8 Jason Crump 8 Antonio Lindback 7 Fredrik Lindgren 7 Michael Jepsen Jensen 7 Andreas Jonsson 6 Martin Vaculik (Bjerre) 6 Jarek Hampel 6 Hans Andersen 4 Bjarne Pedersen 4 Peter Ljung 4 Chris Harris In the final round in Torun there will be bonus points p for grabs so anyone in the top 10 + could catch the leader after this round. -
Nicolai will b on a modest average next season with him now under six points a match, but his form this season has been worrying even before his injury. Never a tough rider, especially when on the inside of a rider, so far this season he has seemed to back off going into the turns if another rider is there with him. When he is flying he is a joy to watch bu this season he has failed to score in 21 of his 56 races and scored just 73+8. Since his return he has won just 4 (+2) races from 40 starts and if you tae off his best score of 8+2 v Coentry, he has scored just 29 points from 29 starts to average just 4.00 a match. We all know he is much better than this, but he certainly seems to have lost his desire and starting next season on a sub six average may not be a bargain but more of a gamble. As for Ty Proctor I feel he has had a pretty good season and his riding style is certainly less eratic than before and maybe he is coming of age. As long as you look at his position as a solid second string, then he does a good job but too many seem to think every rider has to improve every year. Ty will never be a GP star or even break into the Australian WTC squad in future years, but he will give everything to try his best. Whatever averages are used next season, Ty for me is worth considering and maybe riding also in the Premier League would give him more track time and help him being more consisant. Maybe doubling up with Ricky Wells ? Freddie, Tai, ......., Ty/Ricky, ........, ........., Jacob

Having watched the Lakeside v Coventry match tonight and knowing how much he likes Monmore Green, I was suprised Robbo had only ridden about 9 matches for Lakeside this season so far ..... he is always in the team at Monmore and hopefully next year we may see him a bit more

JUST TWO ROUNDS LEFT ..... 46 Races ...... 184 laps ...... WHO WILL WIN ? With just two rounds left, it is still anyones game to win as the final round will feature a special feature !! So who scored what in Mallila ? On the rider front the scorers were ...... Tomasz Gollob 13, Antonio Lindback 9, Chris Holder 4, Bjarne Pedersen 4, Emil Sayfutdinov 2, Fredrik Lindgren 2, Hans Andersen 2, Peter Ljung 2, Nicki Pedersen 0, Jarek Hampel 0, Jason Crump -1, Martin Vaculik (Bjerre) -1, Chris Harris -1, THJ -1, Greg Hancock -2, Andreas Jonsson -8 On the Predictors front the BEST scorers were ...... SCREM 30, T.N.T. 29 , Brummie Kev 24, beercellar 23, Mark246 22, JamieE 20 n the Predictors front the WORST scorers were ...... Smiles and Iceman failed to score, even with the ten added for posting !! .... racers and royals picked up 1 point, Pantherman 2, PTW 2, Avtar 3 With most of the leaders having a bit of a poor round in Mallila, there was one very special, very talented and if I do say so myself, very charming predictor that did do well with almost the best score of the round .... can you spot which one ? LEADERBOARD after MALLILA 210 = T.N.T. 198 = cj69 193 = dontforgetthefueltapsbruv 189 = noggin 181 = PhillipsSR 180 = Rico 180 = mdmc82 175 = Mark246 167 = Screm 166 = Pantherman 166 = beercellar 165 = Homer 155 = WillamFJ 146 = iceman 146 = Diamonds Rock 146 = Gray 143 = Geoff Capes / JCookie 139 = refereerick 136 = Brummie Kev 133 = smiles 133 = Gavan 126 = Racers and Royals 123 = Psycho3a 122 = Bomber Hammer 112 = Hilly 107 = dump the clutch 117 = JamieE 117 = Stilton Panther 96 = DUKEY BOY 96 = DeeksYaMahaga 87 = Waihekeaces 72 = Robbie B 67 = Bandits4Life 65 = SCB 63 = Kiwi 55 = PTW With 2 rounds now remaining, the following Predictors have been taken out of the game (before Mallila) as they havent posted for a while and are not in with a chance of affecting the leader board. 39 = beesboybert, 23 = White Rabbit, 23 = Mark, 11 = Hunty the Brummie, 10 = Cockney Pirate, 6 = Steve R, 4 = Starman2006, 3 = Dudleywood4eva, -2 = mark evans, -3 = Diddy, -4 = Full Throttle, -4 = Woz01, -7 = Comet10, -9 = WTM, -10 = Bandits4Eva, -11 = Kris Ad, -14 = Baz Brush, -15 = Patto25, -17 = Superguest. PREDICTIONS FOR VOJENS will be posted soon !!! -
SGPC 16 challenge finalists are ..... Lindback - Ljung - Walasek - Miedzinski - Kasprzak - Andersen - NKI - MJJ - Madsen - Smolinski - Zagar - Watt - Batchelor - A Dryml - Vaculik - Pavlic With the top 8 not that clear with Lindbck just 2 points behind AJ, it would help the pick of nominations if Antonio stayed ninth and qualified in the GP Challange along with Vaculik and MJJ as those look to be three that stand a good chance of getting picked That would leave four wild cards and Jarek Hampel and Darcy Ward are all but assured of getting nominated. A token Brit would then be selected and Tai Woffinden is the only real choice. That would leave just one space whch would be used on Lindback/MJJ/Vaculik if they fail to qualify ..... otherwise it would go to Kasprzak ?
-
Sounds fine but you miss two points at least 1 = The team is only just 40.05 at present and PK for Klindt would make it 42.37 on current GSA's 2 = The points limit MAY be 42 next season, but how do you get your averages to drop when all you have left is home and away to Belle Vue ? Until the AGM its pretty pointless trying to work out a full 1-7 until we know .... Points limit ? Final Averages .... and maybe a different way of working them out !! Riders who are NOT assests being available to return !! At present the only thing that is certain as far as I can see is Tai and Freddie being the two heat leaders ..... the rest is unsure.

WOLVERHAMPTON " ? Wolves" 2013 1 - Tai Woffinden ................... 8.65' 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - Fredrik Lindgren ............... 8.60' 6 - 7 - .......................................... 3.00 The rest are very much who fits with who but Ricky Wells 5.30' and Ty Proctor 5.60' will be near the front of the queue ..... #7 should be Pontus Aspgren or Jacob Thorssell Personally I would like to see Simon Gustafsson signed next season but it would be a suprise if Eastbourne were to release him. For me he is a rider that could develop even more in the future but probably needs a change of track (would rather him be a signing rather than a loan) and doubling up pairing of any two from Jason Doyle, David Howe or Ty Proctor ..... that leaves around 8.5+ so either Ricky Wells at #2 and another 3.00 rider at reserve ... or ... Ricky Kling and a 4.00 new rider that is widely known ... ie Michelsen Woffinden, Lindgren, ' indicates roughly

Tai is totally committed to Wolverhampton and has a great relationship with the club and big sponsors who are ready to help back him next season lining up as the clubs #1 and in the Grand Prix series (if selected) .... I would go as far to say any thoughts that the club would want to loan him out are not only way off the mark but would be seen by Tai as a break in loyality ..... it wont happen and Tai WILL be back in 2013 NAILED ON !! Just spat my coffee all over the room Pawlicki - Very good rider and bags of potential but Wolves like committed riders ...... he does not fit the bill Ashworth - Do me a favour - Would rather have Magnus Karlsson back Fisher - Can understand why some name him, but he has a higher average than Klindt, Proctor, Howe and Wells and I would much rather have any one or two of those ahead of The Fish .... (in fact would have all 4 before RF) If Wolves do start with just one 3.00 rider next season, I wonder if it will be Pontus Aspgren or Jacob Thorssell ? ..... You would think they may loan their asset out to a PL team for 2013 .... or maybe not ?

Depending on how Linback and Vaculik do in the GP Challenge, the 15 riders for next season are all but sorted. The top 8 at present, Hancock, Holder, Pedersen, Crump, Sayfutdinov, Gollob, Lindgren and Jonsson. Add to that Vaculik and Lindback and you have 10. You then have the 3 qualifiers from the GP Challenge .... to make 13 Lindback* Ljung Walasek Miedzinski Kasprzak Andersen NKI MJJ Madsen Smolinski Zagar Watt Batchelor A Dryml Vaculik* Pavlic Jarek Hampel will be handed the next race jacket followed by Tai Woffinden Should Vaculik and / or Lindback qualify, you will have 1 or 2 extra places available which would go in order to Darcy Ward, Jepsen Jensen as World U21 Champion elect (if he hasn't qualifield already) and most likely Kasprzak the final place if its available They are really hoping MJJ, Vaculik and Lindback get the three qualifying places !!

Let's start with this post from Gray ..... As you never entered a pairing selection, you automatically get the worst pairing yopu could have picked which was MAMA MIA getting -9 points. There fore you get 10 for posting, 3 for Emil, 1 for Harris, 0 for Hampel/Vaculik, 11 for Holder and the -9 for MAMA MIA giving you a Cardiff score of 16 .... had you have chose LITTLE TOO LATE who scored 14 points, your score could have been 39 and been the highest scorer ============================================================================ So who scored what in Cardiff ? On the rider front the scorers were ...... Chris Holder 11, Kenneth Bjerre (KK) 8, Hans Andersen 6, Fredrik Lindgren 5, Antonio Lindback 5, Emil Sayfutdinov 3, Scott Nicholls 2, Chris Harris 1, Nicki Pedersen 1, Tomasz Gollob 1, Jarek Hampel (Vaculik) 0, Bjarne Pedersen -1, Andreas Jonsson -3, Jason Crump -3, Peter Ljung -6 and Greg Hancock -6. On the Predictors side, the biggest score was 36 points from STILTON PANTHER while new league leader, CJ69 scored 32, closely followed by GAVAN on 31. Other scorers to hit over twenty were .... SCREM 25, GEOFF CAPES 24, PHILLIPSR 22 and SMILES 21. Those that didn't do too well at the Welsh City were ..... former league leader, MDMC82 who had a nightmare meeting scoring -1 .... yes -1 even after collecting 10 points for posting !! .... Other bad scores were BOMBER HAMMER 1, ROBBIEB 2, PYSCHO3a 2, ICEMAN 3 and BEERCELLAR 8. British Grand Prix 2012
T.N.T. replied to willstaxi's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Can't believe some saying the racing was boring !! There was overtaking in heat 1 compared to previous years where you had to wait til heat 7 or 8 before anything really happened after the second turn. For me the pick of the races was the battle with Holder and Emil. How they syayed on their bikes or never wiped each other out was amazing anyway but to stay on full power every time and not get caught by the following riders made it even more dramatic. Chris Holder was by far the best rider on the night and sadly for my friend standing next to me he was too good as he had £50 on KK and £100 on Freddie ..... that was two chances of over a grand gone in 56 seconds, sadly I had my main money each way on Emil who just lost out in the semi, but the best rider won and well deserved. Well Done to Scott who showed fight through out but Bomber must know now that unless he wins the British Final next year, or second to Tai then that may have been his last Cardiff experience. Tai will give it a good go next season and although he may not be challenging the top riders, he will be fighting for a top 8 finish at least. Yes the crowd was down a bit and the streets not so full, but I would still say that there was 40,000 there as the main empty seats were on the home straight upper terrace. Those that did attend should have enjoyed the experience and most riders had a decent race at one stage with just Bjane and Ljung (£10 @ 8/1 to make the semi's ) were left wanting. Hans Andersen started like the rider of 5 years ago and Martin Vaculik looked to be destined for another big score after getting 5 from his firts two rides. Emil, Tomasz and Freddie came good as the meeting drew on and looked fast while Antonio, KK and Nicki were up and down a bit. Overall a good meeting but will look back at the replay later. -
Very Disappointed With.....
T.N.T. replied to Cornishman's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Dont agree. This was a British Grand Prix months after the loss of Lee and think it would have been wrong to do a minutes silence so long after the event. #Rico shirts worn by a large number of fans was all that was needed here and well done to all those who did. -
To form a potential title winning team you need the following ingredients You need riders that can improve their average One or two riders that form a backbone for the team ..... does what it says on the tin A reserve you can call on when needed, especially if using r/r Fredrik Lindgren has ridden 22 league matches this season and has 5 left to ride. So far he has 228 points from 108 rides giving him a 8.44 average at present, If he rides in all 5 meetings left, the only score carried over from 2011 will be 11 from 5. ..... If he scores 65 out of 75 points in those remaining meetings (25 rides) he will gave an average of 8.81 next season. .... Yes his average has slipped in the last few seasons, but will it drop again next year ? ..... unlikely and it would be no suprise if he added at least half a point to it to be around 9.30 Tai Woffinden has improved every year and is averaging 8.43 this season but will have those maximums from the end of 2011 sitting on his average for a while due to the meetings he has missed through injury this season. Even if he finishes the season as #1 on an average just shy of nine points a meeting, I would think he would at least retain that next season and possibly improve it .... but will he stays as #1 ? Those two are nailed on to be back next season and should be around 17.5 combined ..... although he is at present a Coventry asset, Ricky Wells should and wants to be back. His progression in the sport since joining Wolves has turned him from a 5 point PL rider to a 5+ rider in the EL and scoring points from the main body and not just reserve. .... However there are two concerns. Firstly the fact that he is on loan and Coventry will no doubt use Roynon next season but they also have Josh Auty and Aaron Summers and all three are 5+ riders that also ride in the PL. Would Coventry keep all four to form two strong doubling up pairings ? ..... Secondly he has ridden in 19 matches this season and has scored 143 points from 92 rides, averaging 6.22. .... If he carries on picking up points as he is, he could end up with a rolling average just shy of 6 .... could he maintain that in 2013 ? Jacob Thorssell started on a 4.00 and apart from one meeting on a rough track, he looked lie he was never going to really do much. However he has since put in some good displays and his showing at Poole on Wednesday proves that on a 3.00 average at reserve he could not only do a decent job in 2013 but could also improve on his average. Add him to Tai and Freddie your on roughly 20.5 with 4 spaces left. This season Nicolai is averaging just 5.42 from his 11 matches completed but with the rolling averages he is currently on 5.97. We know he is much better than that as he has averaged around 6.5 for the last two years despite injuries. On a very simular average is Ty Proctor, averaging 5.49 this season but a 5.69 rolling average. .... I would say one of these would stay ..... but which one ? Nicolai possibly has the best potential and could be a good third heat leader, but he is very inconsistant where as Ty is more of a good second string who is much stronger in the #2 race jacket. ...... Adding one of these two and it takes it to roughly 26.25 with 3 spaces left ad roughly 14.75 left. With the thought of having a strong reserve possibly rules out Pontus Aspgren despite him looking a lot more comfortable since dropping to reserve. If you were to go for a hot shot 4.00 rider like Mikkel Michelsen then it would be a gamble, but you know with a rider like MM you are gettinng a rider with real potential where as riders like Sowka, Aspgren, Thorssell etc you are just hoping to uncover a hidden gem. You could however go for a safer / less interesting option of signing a rider like Ludvig Lindgren or Ricky Kling. .... Signing a 4.00 would leave around 10.75 for the final two places. So you then have to pick two from a long list Ricky Wells 5.50 ...... would he want to double up again or wanted by Coventry ? Patrick Hougaard 5.25 ..... possibly a loan deal taking Klindt or Proctor the opposite way ? David Howe / Jason Doyle 5.75 ...... either as a double act or one sharing with Proctor if Ty was to double up ? Daniel Nermark 5.80 ..... Former Wolf and lives close by still ..... good back up rider Simon Gustafsson 6.50 / Lewis Bridger 6.80 / Mads Korneliussen 6.90 / Magic Janowski 6.20 / Eddie Kennett 6.90 Personally using riders listed above, my preference would probably be ...... 1 - Fredrik Lindgren 2 - Mikkel Michelsen 3 - Simon Gustafsson or Magic Janowski 4 - Nicolai Klindt or Doyle/Proctor 5 - Tai Woffinden 6 - Ludvig Lindgren / Ricky Kling 7 - Jacob Thorssell Freddie, Mikkel and Jacob the improvers #3 and #4 could both improve but more likely provide a back bone to Tai and Freddie. Ludvig / Kling would be a decent reserve A team built more on improving but also more dominant at home.
