  2. This is an amazing line up and have waited to see how riders start the season and will go with this. WHO CAN BE CHAMPUON Woffinden Doyle Zmarzlik Sayfutdinov WHO CAN BE TOP THREE Hancock Pawlicki WHO CAN BE TOP EIGHT Dudek Iversen Holder Lindgren Vaculik Janowski Zagar WHO WON'T BE TOP EIGHT Pedersen Lindback Gating is the problem for Tau as in the past his power saw him soon get by the light weight riders but now there are none and every point is a battle. Doyle looks the main contender but Emil and Zmarzlik are the ones that I think will be in the running. Bye Bye Nicki and Antonio and have worries about Magic and these three are my contenders for the drop next season at the moment.
  3. The most successful person in that position has never ridden a speedway bike and so far has won 9 league titles and looked after at least four World Champions. The big problem was British Speedway not just using the Premier League averages but then allowing Holder and Doyle to stay here on stupid averages when they are mainly here just so they can get a Visa to ride elsewhere. Yes two riders like Worrall and Palm Toft would be better for them but we now have the opportunity for Holder to be available later in the year at a ridiculous six point average and back on the south coast.
  4. Bank Holiday action and a nice 6pm start should make this a good meeting and a number of Belle Vue and Somerset fans also making the trip after their mid day meeting in Manchester. Holder and Batchelor have had good and bad meetings here so unsure which one will show up here but Holder has been struggling in Poland for Torun scoring just 9 in two meetings and at the GP he wasn't troubling the big guns. Lambert is good to see and if all three go well they could push Wolves but I can only see a comfortable home win with Lindgren Howarth and Thorssell all going well and Schlein in top form lately so they should hit 50 quite easily. With Lindgren, Greaves and Porsing all on Gerhard engines it will be good to see how these performing and reliable and how many will be on them next season. 53-39 at a guess then may watch a few Cradley heats or get back for the snooker final.
  5. Flying out on the Thursday and back on the Tuesday both connected to Birmingham. If anyone is thinking of going and looking at accomodation I usually book an apartment so willing to share to save money. It's cheap an way and near the centre. Will most likely be hiring a car too so any meeting on the Sunday is possible
  6. I'm booking up and getting an apartment in Wroclaw and driving with Wroclaw v Rybnik on the Sunday. PM me your number and I will give you a call soon
  7. Can see a few of these rounds finishing with the top scorer on 11 or 12 and a rider on 8 going out as it's going to be hard in every race to pick a winner or who finishes last. Zagar looks a good each way et in this one but I'm having a bet on Pawlicki each way as he is in as good a form as anyone and has a great racing attitude. Feel this is going to be the year of the new breed coming through and the old boys struggling to stay top eight.
  8. ZAGAR £30 more than 8 HANCOCK £30 less than 11 JANOWSKI £40 less than t
  9. Well Done Leicester on this performance as they would have been worthy winners had they have not let it slip away. King was poor and had bike issues and shouldn't have been in heat 1% Riss won.both races completed and was rightly excluded in his first as you not only have to be on track facing the start gate but also within 20 yards. Kim Nilsson was as gòod as you require from a number one and Gomolski did well but for that race where he and Riss fell giving Wolves the 5-0. For Wolves Lindgren Howarth and Thorssell were fine and Masters picked up but Skornicki obviously had problems while the reserves were very poor but at least took.their first point off an opponent Yes Wolves were lucky to get 3 points but apart from Adam struggling they are relying on the top five to score enough to win and maybe having a top heavy team with nothing in reserve isn't the best option. 3 points in the bag though so onwards and upwards.
  10. 🖒 Glad to see such a good crowd last night and will certainly make another trip down when Wolves are back in town just after the SWC trip to Leszno. TRACK & STADIUM Obviously work is going on and will be interesting to see what it looks like on next visit. Spoke to the BMR guy for a while at the end and he is clearly learning as it goes and hopefully this can grow over the next few seasons. Fence around the pit area would be gòod for fans, viewing area for riders and managers, referee box move level to tapes, permanent terraces on turns one and two and more scaffolding terraces on turns three and four as I can see this getting good crowds all season. Maybe a bit more banking on turn one and a bit off the bends exit would create more race lines but overall it's coming on well and good luck to them. RYE HOUSE have in my opinion a certain play off team with vast experience and will be hard to beat at home. Robbo will have better days and Watt too. Reserves scored 12+1 which looks good but don't believe in the scores too much as this format has it's floors like previous versions. Apart from heat seven when Perks made the gate over Adam and IT it was Nicholls that stepped in to shield him home. Otherwise all the 9 other points were by beating a weak visiting reserves. WOLVES have a good top five and Masters made a few mistakes to drop points when he gated first and Skornicki made one small mistake off turn two that enabled Bomber through. Jacob looked to make the gate in heat 10 on Kennett but instead of going to the dirt line he kept it low giving Eddie the fast outside line off turn two. He was also unlucky to be called back in heat 1= when the Red lights came on even though the track had been cleared by the fallen Greece's. Skornicki was the rider we know he can be but it was Howarth that was the star of the night with a good 10+1 (13 with tr) from his first four rides having beat Eddie and Scott and only a Bomber special could stop him. Well Deserved ride in heat 15 but Rockets were just that and a last place means he averages just 8.00. Averages for most riders will drop once new averages come in and only Bomber, Howarth and the home reserves reached their averages but the limit will go to just 42 So any changes will be hard. So while Wolves fans despair at the lack of points from their reserves, you won't have much options to improve unless you change one of the top five. REFEREE _ Chris Gay had a poor night. Masters to me and the fans I asked beat Nicholls in heat 4 Kennett hits tapes but goes back in rerun off the gate Bomber knocks off Perks despite being too far way from Skornicki and the youngster gets excluded for not staying up ? Heat 14 and Graves clears the track but the Red lights come on and Watt comes out to do 5 minutes gardening before fetching his bike and winning by a great gate. Isn't this an exclusion after a certain British Final incident involving a certain rider and myself 😁 Well Done Rye on a deserved win and a good opening night which would have paid a few bills.
  11. Have to say regardless of the wrong format or whatever it was plain to see last night how well Jacob Thorssell rode and to pass Hans and KK in one move and then win by a massive distance was very impressive and the best I have sent him ride. He looked smooth, fast and a different class to anyone else there. Howarth was also one who impressed while Freddie and Sam did what you would expect but the reserves looked weak and getting just 3 from Skornicki rides wasn't good cover but Poole benefit with 8 fro. Newmans rides and having Klindt able to do seven rides helped Poole keep it close until the big guns dominated the last few years. Skornicki missing Wednesday will all but hand Poole the trophy as he Wolvs reserves will be out 10 times. 12. Think Skornicki will be at mine.ber 4 alongside Masters at 3 and Andersen at 5 for Poole but either way it should be a close finish with both producing good teams Will Kurtz be fit or are they using R/R ?
  13. Can anyone confirm what time the Good Friday meeting against Wolves is as it's usually a day time meeting but can't see anything on rhe websites
  14. It will be harder to bring in a better rider in the Premiership because when new averages come in the team that started around 50 Will have come down to anything from 40-45 so most changes will be like for like. In the Championship the averages won't change a great deal so in effect they get an extra two points to play with apart from the teams that started well. So a rider like David Howe has more chance of being ought into a Championship side on 6 72 thank a Premiership team on 4.80 unless it's at the expense of some one that is on that figure. In the Championship he could come in for a 5 point rider.
  15. Take Jonas Kylmakorpi for example. At present he is around 9.7 if any team wants to sign him. Once new averages are in effect then he reverts to his actual EL average around 6.7. A rider like David Howe who last rode in the PL has a 6.72 average. When new averages come in then a Premiership team can sign him on 4.8 while a Championship team he is still 6.72. Averages will drop for sure but by 8 points in the Premiership is hard to fit in a new better rider but the Championship could easily fit in a rider like Howe for a rider averaging 3 in a team struggling
  16. The point limit drops to 42 once new averages are in effect in both leagues which means it's hard to bring in a better rider but some may have very false averages thanks to unexplained engine failure or missed meetings.
  17. They should have a decent team together and I already had them down as one of the four teams likely to be in the title race but I do think it's a shame they didn't use Richie Worrall and Joe Jacobs after last season. Bjerre is on a bargain average but I don't think the NSS is his sort of track and more suited to the full throttle jockeys like Cook. As for the comment about Frocks being in because his van is outside the stadium, well it's only on lease so he is hardly likely to have it in Australia so I wouldn't read that much into otherwise Argos could be the missing rider. 😁
  18. All averages at present are set to the old Premier League level but once new averages are in effect then the Elite average or assessed average by 1.4 would come into effect if a rider was joining a team in the Premiership and didn't have an old Elite average. Those that have an Elite average like Kylmakorpi who hasn't got a team place come back on their old Elite average so in the case of David Howe he would be available around May on 4.80 but remember riders averages who are riding will see averages drop quite a bit by then. Would like to see David back but can't see him fitting in at Wolves unless it's to cover for an injury and think he may get his chance in the Championship on his 6.72 first.
  19. Bomber was run over by Lewis Bridger not Kennett. Should Howe want to make a comeback he would be at least a 5 and I think he remembers too well how many Wolves fans got on his back before and like Klindt would rather ride elsewhere because of that. As for not being strong enough well we have seven teams all but complete and can't see too much better apart from Rye House. Yes it's not the exact seven I would have gone for but it looks stronger than most and more important we have seven riders and a track which a third of the league don't have at present so there's other things to worry about more than just Wolverhampton
  20. Don't come on here as much now but it's good to look in and see how the southern team's are getting on during the winter months Not much difference between Wolves and Poole apart from Masters a much better heat leader than Kurtz but Poole much stronger at reserve as Shames won't be far off Clegg but having a strong reserve in Klindt is their big advantage Not much use though if the top end is dropping points
  21. Brandon would've been a great location for a speedway owned National Speedway Stadium had money been invested in such a scheme rather than using it to keep clubs afloat by employing riders they can't afford with the other revenue of gate receipts and merchandise. I live about 20 miles from the NEC and that was talked about for a stadium for England FA and Olympics but they wanted to stay in London but Speedway doesn't have that issue and if the money was there it would be a great location but very unlikely unless it's a multi purpose stadium and maybe indoors too
  22. Not too sure if he has ever been in the first bracket which is more like Bomber, Nicholls or Bridger who nearly signed before but have never done it apart from regular guest appearances.' Most team's will feature four or five riders doubling up just like last year most had four. If he isn't riding abroad then 50 or so meetings shouldn't be a problem to a rider who has guested for virtually everyone in recent years due to a low average. As he is owned by a Premiership club I think Wolves do get first call, if not Thursday's are going to be a problem. He has had some very good rides at Monmore Green including one maximum when he was in a class of his own that night but overall he is a decent seven point rider and would be a good signing but I still prefer the thought of Patrick Hansen or Tobiasz Musielak as stable and potential improves.
  23. Running costs and conditions appear to be quite costly for Belle Vie and with Council running the stadium and getting the money from the bar's and restaurant it gives little for the club to recoup money apart fromfrog gate receipts and sponsorship. Agar with high wages and flights plus the same is getting that way with Fricke soon so using Cooke and the Worralls makes more sense and be honest both Worralls did excellent jobs for them so far and adding Berge to the main body should be maple. Jacobs at reserve with either Bewley or a 2,00 reserve will leave between 6.5 to 8.5 for the last place along with the four already mentioned would be a strong team when you look at the others so far
  24. Why would Aces want a rider they can't afford to pay on top of the excessive rent and costs and without Zagar you could afford both Worrall brothers for the same price as one Zagar
  25. If other teams were doing it too that rule wouldn't be needed as both teams can't be riding in two places at the same time if it's in fact just the one track
