KK stayed at the same hotel as me in Bydgozsz last week and he was saying he really wants to get back to riding over here as he has only done something like 30 meetings this season and needs to race more than once a week. hope he finds somewhere but on 7.97 he is a gamble

Tai had a poor 2014 in Britain and maybe his heart wasn't really in riding in Britain and CVS and PA admitted they had to persuade him to carry on here. Maybe that was more a fault with his selection and maybe leaving him out at the start would have been the best option and if the team struggled then approached about returning. As it is, Tai tasted success in 2013 riding just Poland and Britain alongside the GP's which gave him time to train, relax and prepare well but then opted to take on Sweden which not just means more meetings but also more costs and more mechanics from what he had in 2013. Yes he had a few problems with mechanics and his main mechanics were in Poland and Sweden while in Britain he had a number of spanners during the season but mainly local lads who were in the past mechanics for other ex Wolves riders. However this wasn't the only problem and the lads he had know their stuff but overall the season here just wasn;t that of a World Champion on and off the track due to numerous reasons but he did try and was disappointed with himself. Whatever happened then it just happened and Britain no longer fits into the needs of Hancock, Woffinden, Pedersen, Sayfutdinov, Hampel etc etc and next year also likely to be Janowski first out the door with others possibly following so for 2016 you can forget most GP or top class riders appearing here. As for Tobiasz Musielak he had a poor 2015 not just here but also in Sweden and Poland where he stepped up from being a big scoring 20 year old reserve. However let;s not forget this lad was rated just behind the likes of Dudek, Pawlicki and Zmarzlik but 2015 didn;t work forr him and he ended up not liking Monmore at all but loved riding over here ...... a bit like Freddie when he came over and to be fair Tobiasz showed up well away in quite a few meetings and on 4.53 he could be a good second string next season. Maybe in a way he did as he has a good relationship with Pete Adams and there was likely to be talks about what he was doing and what was hapening at Wolves but how do you replace a World Champion if there is little to replace him especially as his average dropped from 9.20 to 7.03 Money is a key factor when you consider a rider like Tai would earn more in 2 heats in Poland than scoring a maximum here but its also down to costs, times, flights, relaxing and being comfortable with everything. The engine he used here in 2014 was the engine he blitzed everyone with in the Gorzow GP so it what works on the right night and having the team work out every little thing to make it happen on the track. 2016 = No Tai, No Pawlicki but big changes required and while eyes will be on Joel Andersson in the Olympique, it;s the top end that needs rebuilding and if the Elite League is to be decent we need Freddie to be the third heat leader on 6.11 or the best second string. HL 1 = ? HL 2 = ? HL 3 = Fredrik Lindgren SS 1 = ? SS 2 = Andersson or Musielak Personally I hope the Fast Track changes to just the #7 and for riders more like Ashley Morris or Max Clegg than the likes of Garrity or Newman

We signed Billy Hamill after his sell by date and there has been links with both Scott and Bomber in the past. In the past we are supposed to have been very close to getting Scott but that was the year went all out and signed Rickardsson on a 7 average and Gollob for his British debut and they stormed the league and Scott didn;t want to miss out on that season. Scott has a deal with Belle Vue for 2016 in their new stadium and with Coventry still having one more year at Brandon I think Bomber will be back there next season ...... but in 2017 both could be available Hopefully the AGM this year sorts out an Elite League that can give the fans a more superior package with quality riders scoring the points instead of the lower ranked riders scoring points in easier races as a second string or fast track reserve. I firmly believe Britain HAS to go one race night with just 7 home and 7 away while ALL tracks enter the Premier League with 11 home and 11 away giving a better fixture list of at least 18 home meetings. Once the format has been sorted, the limit set and the regulations in place should any team be free to sign up riders and not as Wolves did this season by not being able to fill the last two places with a back up heat leader to Freddie and a bargain second string and in the end starting with four riders that were simply second strings and crucified under a format that helped those with a good heat leader trio. The one problem I see is of the eight clubs that were in the Elite League this year, there are question marks over a few about their future not only as an Elite League track but possibly as a track at all and for some the Premier League may be the only answer in 2016. If the Elite League can operate next year then signing a number one is a must as this season has proved, Harris, Ward and Doyle all came to Monmore and went home undefeated and I think Bomber did it more than once while Steve Worrall also gained a 5 ride maximum at reserve. Jason Doyle has finished as the top Elite rider in 2015 and signing him would be great but I would be just as pleased with three experienced heat leaders like Andersen, Lindgren and Jonsson and having those three would also give room to sign a rider to make Lindgren start as a second string and even have enough room for Bomber and Bjerre to give a top five that have all been GP winners ...... if only these were possible ?

Piotr Pawlicki, Antonio Lindback and Bartosz Zmarzlik to qualify That makes 11 leaving 4 Wild Cards with Jaroslaw Hampel allocated one. The other three would depend on who qualifies and I would say Lindback is assured of one as the Swedish lone rider in 2016 and both Pawlicki and Zmarzlik are contenders along with Kildemand if he fails to make it. So in order of likely nominations Jaroslaw Hampel Antonio Lindback Bartosz Zmarzlik Piotr Pawlicki Peter Kildemand Janowski or Jepsen Jensen (9th) Andreas Jonsson - 2nd Swede Emil has still ruled out the GP's for next year but may consider the qualifiers if polotics don't prevent him and obviously Darcy was another that would have been given one if available. Both would have been serious contenders for years to come. -
8.37 to sign a rider that hasn't ridden here this season, so what names fit and the chances Emil Sayfutdinov 8.00 = Unlikley to come over and would cost a small fortune but with Leszno and Vetlanda on the verge of winning their repective titles, he will be concentrating on those and the SEC. ....... 1/10 Antonio Lindback 7.94 = He could be available and would be a good shout but does he want to ride here as he has shown little interest in recent years. 6/10 Tai Woffinden 7.03 = FORGET IT - He may have a nice lead in the title race but in the play off final with Vetlanda and is very happy with his calendar as it is. This world title means a lot to him and extra meetings are further risks and not financially worth the risk. 1/10 Piotr Pawlicki 7.32 = Leszno key rider at reserve and the GP Challenge ahead plus other commitments makes it unlikely. 2/10 Patryk Dudek 7.00 = Has come back in great form and has said he wants to ride as much as possible until the end of the season. Would cost a fair bit but could be a match winner if persuaded. 6/10 Kenni Larsen 7.11 = Club asset and going well and if fit he could do just aswell as JK. 7/10 Linus Sundstrom 7.19 = Did well in the past but hasn't been great this season so a gamble. 5/10 Shamek Pawlicki 6.75 = Could be a good shout if the big names are unlikely and knows the tracks. 7/10 Guests = Fredrik Lindgren 6.55, Peter Karlsson 6.33, Mikkel Bech 6.17, Kim Nilsson 6.88 (home only), Scott Nicholls 5.96 (if Belle Vue miss out), Robert Lambert 6.76 (if Kings Lynn out) ...... personally I would look atr Lindgren in most cases as a good guest and possible match winner. 8/10

After Bank Holidays clash with Belle Vue was postponed due to the weather, Belle Vue now go into this meeting with added confidence after Kings Lynn lost at home for the first time and got spanked away and now a glimmer of hope has become a real possibility but they still have to get a result. Kings Lynn finish with a home clash against Swindon and must win to reach 51 points leaving Belle Vue needing a draw to reach the play offs on race points difference or a win puts them on 52 points and they are boosted by the fact Scott Nicholls has dropped to 5.96 and is a second string moving Grajczonek up to heat leader with Cook and Zagar. Aces will also have Steve Worrall at reserve and he has a liking for Monmore Green having scored big here on most appearances while Craig Cook was unbeatable in the British Final and unlucky not to have gone unbeaten and lifted the title that night. Leicester then finish off the season with Jason Doyle always worth watching while Swiderski can be hit or miss here and last time was miss in his first two before two very good rides at the end. Wozniak and Walasek haven't really done that much here but Sam Masters has done well at WV2 and would benefit being at #4 instead of #2. Wolves will name the replacement for Lewis Blackbird soon but it's likely to be club asset Ashley Morris WOLVES 47 ACES 43 ...... Sorry Aces fans WOLVES 54 LIONS 39

BELLE VUE go into their final meeting of the season knowing they need at least a win to stand any chance of getting in the play offs but have to also hope Kings Lynn lose their final three matches (two at home). Matej Zagar was replaced by Chris Harris today but on Monday they are going for R/R giving Nicholls, Cook, Grajczonek and Fricke extra rides while Ashley Morris and James Wright stand in at reserve for Wolves. Poor season for Wolves but can't see Aces getting much from this one and Wolves running out 51-41 winners before finishing their season next week against Leicester.

What about the date for Poole Can't see Poole changing now and think Chris Holder will eventually want to give it 110% for Darcy and help Poole lift the title again but in Speedway you have to be committed and enjoy putting the helmet on and I think everyone would understand if he was to think about taking a break or Poole were allowed to use guests for the time being. Freddie Lindgren, Matej Zagar, Scott Nicholls and Andreas Jonsson look to be finished with their fixtures soon and I am sure they would step in if required.

Viewing is quite good where ever you are and there is limited seating on the home straight which I think is first come first served. Having seen the first meeting there this season I can't see much for Wolves in this one as only PK and Garrity (guest) managed to offer any real threat to the Lions who rode wide in the dirt while Wolves rode the bare white line to no effect. Was thinking of going to this one but if I finish work in time tonight I may be tempted to go to Coventry v Swindon instead as that looks like being a great meeting and a possible play off fixture in a month or so Leicester 55 Wolves 37 my prediction

With everyone (bar Jacob) having a few poor scores of late, these are the current rolling averages of 20 matches for the team (not the official GSA) . The figure in brackets is their average for all league meetings this season. 6.51 Fredrik Lindgren (6.48) 6.42 Peter Karlsson (6.78) 5.68 Ricky Wells (5.96) 5.66 Jacob Thorssell (5.41) 4.79 Tobiasz Musielak (4.79) 29.06 HOME - AWAY 7.84 - 5.29 - (-2.55) - Fredrik Lindgren 7.39 - 4.79 - (-2.60) - Ricky Wells 6.96 - 6.62 - (-0.34) - Peter Karlsson 6.42 - 4.52 - (-1.90) - Jacob Thorssell 4.38 - 5.18 - (+0.80) - Tobiasz Musielak 32.99 - 26.40 Amazing but even the averages at home are way under the 34.00 limit.

Do you think then that the rule book allows for this example to happen BELLE VUE start the season with Zagar and Nicholls as the 7+ riders with Cook, Stead and Fricke.. However when Stead is injured Zagar and Nicholls are averaging 6.89 and 6.74 with Cook 6.22 and Fricke 4.71. With 9.54 left to get back to 34 can they drop Fricke now leaving 14.25 and sign Tai Woffinden 7.03 and Kenni Larsen 7.11 I have to say they couldn't as Zagar and Nicholls already are listed as the 7+ riders and even if Cook was averaging over seven, he is not listed as one.

Yes Morris can have a guest according to his average but he is not counted as a 7+ rider when changes are made and as long as the team is 34.00 or lower or the rider coming in has a lower average than the rider being replaced then a team can have more than two riders averaging over seven. EXAMPLE; Dakota North 7.97, Chris Holder 7.18, Maciej Janowski 6.98, Davey Watt 6.32, Kacper Gomolski 4.54 = 32.99 Krzysztof Kasprzak 7.96 wants to return so Poole apply to bring him back. They can't bring him in for Dakota North as it would mean they have KK, Janowski and Holder as 7+ riders from the starting CMA's They can have a guest for North in these examples but can only bring KK in with these averages to replace Janowski to give them KK and Holder as 7+ riders. Why do I think this is right ...... because this has been told to me by two people that should know. PS; Happy 29th Birthday to your sister

Tai equalled his track record at the British Final and was gutted as he shut off coming out of the fourth bend. Here Ward shut off with about 20 yards to go so could have been as low as 53.35 or 53.20

Because I have quoted the way it works. It doesn't matter if Magic and Holder both averaged 6.33 the only way Poole could bring in a 7+ rider is at the expense of one of those two. Swindon can have Ward, Batchelor, Morris and Zengota all above 7 but they are only allowed two 7+ riders with a starting average over 7 and they are Ward and Batchelor So Batchelor could have been 7.32 or 8.76 when Ward came in as Morris doesn't come under the ruling of a 7+ rider and the only difference would have been Swindon having to sign a 3+ rider at #2 instead of Krcmar 4.50

Something they can ask them not to do but in reality they won't stop them unless they pay the riders to miss the extra income -
Have to say that Darcy was way above anyone last night but when he had the chance (twice) he made sure he finished with a paid win rather than a win which helps the averages as despite getting paid 15 last night his average was 10.40 Had Batchelor not been split by Lindgren it may well have been 9.60 with 12+3 NOTE; This is not cheating ..... just being clever !!

It has nothing to do with it. Swindon started with Miedzinski and Batchelor as 7+ riders ...... Ward replaces Meidzinski and that is fine as Morris doesn't count. Look at it this way that Poole (example) have Dakota North on 7.93 and Davey Watt on 7.11. That would mean they have four 7+ riders but Magic gets injured ....... are they only allowed to bring in a 6.99 or less rider ? Zagar, Nicholls, Andersen, Harris, Iversen, Bjerre, Jonsson, Doyle, B Pedersen, Holder, Janowski, Meidzinski, Batchelor and Lindgren are the only 7+ riders that started the season and will be classed as 7+ all season. Nick Morris, Peter Karlsson, Jonas Kylmakorpi etc are not classed as 7+ riders even now they are well over that.

1 = Swindon had no problem in fitting in Ward, whatever calculations you make the only difference is to who they could sign as the fifth rider to replace Howarth. They ended up being allowed to field Eduard Krcmar 4.50 but could have easily signed a 3+ rider instead. Batchelor on a 6+ average still counted as a 7+ rider for team building purposes 2 - Using starting averages Swindon's current team would have had a combined average of 33.24 compared to the 33.52 of their original team that started in March. People may want their teams to make changes or bring in certain riders but when a team does this and makes them title contenders from nowhere it has to be down to cheating rather than well managed team organisation and timing If this was the rule then once Morris gained a 7+ average Swindon would not have been allowed to track Batchelor or Miedzinski (guest) which is why only the starting averages in March are judged to be 7+ riders. It would also mean that for EXAMPLE ONLY Holder and Janowski could have got their averages below 7 in order for Linback and Ward to come in mid season. However this would have meant four 7+ riders. Freddie Lindgren 6.48 is third in the Wolves averages but remains the only 7+ rider in the team and the same with Andreas Jonsson at Lakeside and Jason Doyle at Leicester regardless of what others are scoring.

Morris didn't start the season as a 7+ rider so the only riders that are 7+ in team building are Batchelor and Ward regardless of what they are averaging in 2015 Lindgren is the only 7+ rider at Wolves even though he has a 6.48 average and PK has 7.02

Robins will finish above Belle Vue easily and so will Kings Lynn Coventry 22 (10-12) 52 ...... 12 pts at home = 64 Poole 23 (11-12) 50 ............ 9 pts at home = 59 Belle Vue 23 (11-12) 40 ....... 9 pts at home = 49 Swindon 20 (11-9) 40 .......... 9 pts at home = 49 Kings Lynn 21 (10-11) 39 .... 12 pts at home = 52 BELLE VUE HOME = Swindon, Leicester, Wolverhampton AWAY = Poole, Wolverhampton SWINDON HOME = Coventry, Kings Lynn, Leicester AWAY = Belle Vue, Coventry x2, Kings Lynn KINGS LYNN HOME = Leicester x2, Coventry, Swindon AWAY = Leicester, Swindon, Poole Can see Swindon winning at Belle Vue leaving Robins and Stars clear run to the play offs and Belle Vue possibly only getting a point at Monmore Green. PS; Batchelor didn't need the engine failures to get WARD in as the last signing which was Krcmar could have easily been a rider with a lower average as they are there to get a point or two at most

Some hard racing, entertaining racing and close finishes and that is more important than any result. Swindon as expected came and won convincingly with a powerful top four that took 9 heat wins between them and that was very nearly more had Thorssell not have snatched victory over Zengota in heat 9 and Tobiasz showing great skills to win heat 8 over an impressive Robert Branford who led for a good deal of the race and swapped places a few times. Ward shut off before the line in heat one just as Tai did in the British Final when he equalled the track record but Darcy took 0.19 off the time and although he had to get a few points from the back, he never really looked like being beaten and allowed Batchelor past twice to take the win, possibly to get 13 instead of 15 on his average for next season. PK like Freddie had one good race which was a brilliant battle with Bomber but Ricky struggled and although Lewis top scored, he still didn't look at his best last night while Tobiasz came back from a fall to look very good in his last two races and had a great battle with Zengi in heat 14 nearly getting the better of his Leszno team mate. Great racing and no complaints about Swindon winning fair and square but Entertainment was the real winner.
