That's 3 words, Baggy. Hope you've asked Santa for a calculator for Christmas

Hughes and Hazelden have retired, as far as I know.

If under 18, it needed to be signed by the parent/guardian aswell. -

Was thinking the same. Seemed to contradict the various press releases. Sure it's because he's an asset, but still... -
Did he tell you why it goes from 15-30-40? That has always bugged me far more than it should!

In 2003, King's Lynn were a late entrance to the Premier League. By that time, the cup draws had already been done. Workington (I think it was) sacrificed their bye into round 2 to match up against King's Lynn in the 1st round with the winner going through. Pretty sure it was KL who went through in the end. Hopefully something similar to that will happen next season if Pboro can return. EOES is far too good of a venue to lose.

How many Grade A reserves do you want?!
-
The cut-off appears to be somewhere between Kerr @ 6.09 (makes it) & Howarth @ 6.86 (doesn't make it). Newman isn't even the top rider in the draft list. Kerr and Garrity have higher averages last season. Maybe others, too. Newman should definitely be one of the top reserves though for sure.

He's not on the draft list. -
Mathematically it is possible, but unlikely I'd have thought. However it does raise an interesting point regarding the EL/NL reserves. What happens if a side (eg King's Lynn) wants to sign one of the reserves(Kerr) as a main team rider? A top 5 of: Iversen Bjerre Schlein Kerr Porsing does fit...

NL is usually £10 per point, but some clubs (Dudley especially) offer a fair bit more. PL reserves is usually around £40-45 per point. That may go up a bit if the riders scores more than X amount of points. Usually there's some sort of guarantee to cover travel expenses and things like that. £40 per point in the EL is pretty damn poor, but it's not unexpected. They brought this rule in to cut expenses, not to give British youngsters a shot at the EL, despite what they may say! -
Feel a bit for Morley. Thought he performed well enough in his 114 PL guest bookings this season to warrant a reserve spot at Rye. Hard to judge the side without knowing what the other line-ups will be like, but I suspect that's a mid-table line-up unless one of Garrity/Boxall/Nelson really kick on and have an excellent season.

No doubt about it - there's always a few riders who suddenly kick on for whatever reason. No reason why some on Screamer's list can't do that. Others will do as you expect, and then there are a few who will really struggle and find it tough going. -

Think you're being more than a tad ignorant and disrespectful towards some of those "draft riders". They could easily beat a "genuine" EL rider (or riders) on their day. It wasn't so long ago that Josh Bates beat a former EL number 1 (Jason Doyle) on a track he'd hardly seen before. -

Where do you draw that line? Someone, somewhere has to miss it. If Tully is considered too old at 26, then surely Blackbird, also 26, should be the same? I don't like the idea of riders being "handpicked". It sounds far too dodgy for my liking. There should be a strict guideline, eg under 25, never achieved PL average of 6+, and never held a full time EL spot, for example. That way at least everyone knows where they stand. I don't agree with everything on Screamer's list, but fair play on the old chap for giving it a go! First person I've seen give it a try. -

Me thinks Tai Woffinden would clean up at reserve if that was the case! -
In which league though? Kerr has a higher average than Ellis in the PL, but not NL. And if it's based on U21 riders, guys like Kerr, Steve Worrall etc, won't be allocated, as they are over 21.

They will be allocated? It gets better! I see nothing wrong with that at all! -

The Announcement doesn't appear to specify anything about the NL riders. Current NL riders? Next season's NL riders? Riders that have ridden in the NL in the last 3 seasons? The mind boggles. Clearly they don't want to lose Ward, Iversen, etc, as that wouldn't give them a great deal of chance getting another SKY deal. That's the only very flawed logic I can see in it. Just can't see it working. It will either lead to some very one-sided races, or if they change the meeting format, it would leave some riders with an inflated average. It's a good job British get that reduction! Oh, wait.... Just can't see it doing any good. No good for 90% of the NL riders, no good for the spectators, no good for the sport. -

NL riders in the EL? Seriously? When I first read it, I assumed it was a typo and they meant NL riders in the reserve spots in the PL. That would actually make sense! -
Have you been drinking?

Is a 5.00 PL average now the limit? Was it not 4.00 before? (Given up trying to keep up with all the rules!)

You could also say the same about Mildenhall having to go with 2 rookie 3 pointers, Baggy! Add in a basic 6 from 6 for Rumsey and Mildenhall could be taking a 20 point lead to the Norfolk Arena! It's all swings and roundabouts.
