Didn't King's Lynn and Boston share once upon a time? They may have been in different divisions though...CL and CT.
-
Hour or so to get to Leicester or 5 hours to get to Workington?
-
Saw him once @ U19 Final at Coventry. Fell off in practice. Beat Ryan Terry Daley in first heat, then withdrew from meeting. Would be a good addition to the NL. PL? Less likely.
-
All things being equal, yes. Exceptions to that is if the rider is owned by his EL side and/or the rider signed for the PL side "late" then it is seemingly based on which fixture was in the fixture list first.
-
That's nothing a quick shave of that stupid 'tache couldn't solve.
-
That's only relevant if the rider mentions it in the Draft form. There was an opportunity to disclose any nights where the rider would be unavailable due to PL offers. One can only assume he wasn't expecting to get picked, the offer came in after he'd confirmed his interest, or he wasn't expecting the only team he couldn't ride for (Leicester) to pick him. If history has shown us anything, you should never overestimate/underestimate the Leicester promotion.

I will be very surprised if that is the 1-7 Scunthorpe finish the season with. Good to see Davies back in the country. Entertaining rider - good for PL Speedway, and very good news for any kebab shops in the Scunthorpe area.

What average would she come in on?

I haven't gone through all of them, but Lewis Rose's age is definitely wrong. He's another one in the mid 20s.

Someone needs to give Leicester fans their own TV show
-
The ideal solution would be to have A riders in the PL's 1-5, and the B riders in the reserves berths. Unfortunately there's no draft in the PL (again), so many of the places will be filled by the Covattis, Pavlovas, Dilgers, Barretts, etc meaning a lot of last year's draft reserves will go back to only riding in the NL making absolutely no progress at all.
-
If all the riders had been involved in last year's EL, then I'd be hopeful that would have been the case. But they weren't, so you had the nuisance of where to place Auty, Birks, Roynon, etc. Shoe size would be interesting, but everyone knows men lie about sizes! The other option would be a completly random draw. Stick all the names in the hat and see what happens! Could've been interesting....
-
The 2nd round of picks started with Lakeside as they picked Birks, and it just so happens they went with their asset. I agree it would have been fairer to have no protected riders at all, but then you get complaints that having assets is useless. It's the sort of system where you simply just can not please everyone.

Re: 1. If they did that they would be open to all sorts of criticism regarding subjectivity. At least this way they were graded based on fact, ie, he is placed there because his PL average is higher than Bloggs', etc. You can always spin the facts (large % of time spent at reserve, HTA, etc) but facts are still facts. Throw in a "we placed him there because we think he is better" is just going to open a giant can of worms, especially if the end result means certain teams, or promoters, are able to benefit from the aforementioned choices. Re: Wolves and Bates. I can only assume Proctor is going to be back there as he and Bates are close. Proctor has helped him a few times which has a positive impact on Bates' results. It also enables Starke to go to Poole, where Ford is close to Garry May, his Somerset team manager.

I'm amazed CVS didn't go for Starke - achieved a sky high NL average round that track over the last couple of seasons.
-
Chris or John?
-
Belle Vue had already protected Worrall - one of those "lost" announcements!
-
I imagine that would be more of a technical issue with Twitter more than anything else. Others seem to be getting them okay.
-
Is that a rhetorical question??????
-
Interesting that Wolves pick Bates leaving Starke to go to Poole...?
-
Half the messages/announcements don't seem to be coming through for me either. Weird!
-
Compton finished with a higher NL average than Sarjeant. It's seemingly done purely based on PL averages, and then NL averages if they've never achieved an average of over 3.
-
I think we now know what the C stands for in SCB... Cynic!
-
Starke has a 4.79 PL average according to the final green sheets, which ironically is higher than Roynon's! So guess they are not going to grade the riders based on PL averages alone...
