  1. Maybe he doesn't have the available finances since getting killed off Eastenders a couple of years back?
  2. You seem insistent on getting Covatti a team spot! He's in practically every one of your "teams". Are you Nigel Pearson in disguise?
  3. The problem with Coventry is not related to the dirt. It's the rubbish, inconsistent, patchy surface. I also disagree with Screamer. King's Lynn has had far too much dirt down when I have been this year. It's no incoincidence that the one time there was a brilliant meeting there (against Poole a few months back) it was slicker than normal due to the threat of rain. An engine tuner told me it was the best meeting he had seen round there for years. I completly forgot the GP was on (to remain on topic). Hope to catch it later when one of the Poles add the full meeting like they usually do. Great GP + no Pearson = Yes please! Did catch the final though, poor Nicki was robbed again. It's the sort of move that Kasprzak pulls all the time, but Nicki's reputation goes against him a lot now. He was able to use it to his advantage 10 years or so ago, but now it's a different story. Glad he managed to bronze though. He's been terrific entertainment again this year & has deserved a medal for his efforts.
  4. Is this Star Lady, or is it Trees? I think with the current weather situation, we may be looking at having the Play-Offs a little earlier next year.
  5. To be fair, there was an incident at Mildenhall a few seasons ago, too.
  6. If it is, it is playing tricks on me too! I think Louis at his peak made Crump look a little daft towards the end of the meeting aswell. Louis, Gollob, Crump, Adams - that was a "proper"(copyright Kelvin Tatum) heat 15!
  7. I remember back in 2000. Good Friday, 2000 @ Foxhole. It was a close match. Not much in it all meeting. Heat 12, and Savalas Clouting knocks off one of Ipswich's fence panels with his back wheel whilst at the back and gets excluded. The only thing he had done all afternoon. Race got stopped and re-run. And guess what? Toni Svab popped out of the start in the re-run, and the match ends a draw. And of course King's Lynn end up losing the title by just a couple of points. Chris Gay was the referee on this occasion... I'm not bitter.
  8. And of course only a couple of seasons ago, Mildenhall won the league title by staging their home leg at King's Lynn! As you do.
  9. Buxton is a track that is not always to everyones liking! Hope all the riders make a quick recovery. That's a seriously impressive score from Extance, who seems to be making rapid progress this year.
  10. Never seen Portwood ride so well - got to be worth a NL team spot somewhere?
  11. Any truth in the rumour that Darcy managed to injure himself over the weekend?
  12. Yikes, hope both riders are okay. Seems heat 14 is bad luck as far as SKY & PL Speedway is concerned.
  13. I didn't even realise there was any Speedway on TV tonight at all! So I'm grateful for this thread! I watch Speedway on Sky Go, so I will possibly watch a bit of the Swedish Speedway, but will probably switch it over at 7.30pm. Seen some Swedish stuff in the past but find it harder to get into.
  14. Surely it's got Henning Bager's name written all over it?
  15. Without that evil C word, Billy Hamill never would have become World Champion
  16. King was on the pace, so it was at least a competitive 0! C'mon, I'm going to be positive here!
  17. Blackbird is getting close to 30 anyway! Think he's the same age as Danny King. The natural progression would be to hold some test matches abroad - Germany, Italy, Croatia, Czech Republic etc etc anywhere a bit different to give the riders some badly needed experience of foreign tracks. Some will struggle, sure, but it's a bit like the Fast Track Scheme, or anything else for that matter, until you try, you never know. Biggest problem will be to get BSPA to help with the financing! Did I really imagine it tonight, or was Woffinden complaining about not being race-fit little over a week of complaining of too many meetings? He's a bloody hard man to please!
  18. The joker was about 2 hours ago! If anything, the joker turned this seemingly non-contest (at the time) into the absolute cracker that it turned out to be!
