  1. Definitely him. He's got a bike coming over after U21s in Italy
  2. I didn't think it was near as bad as some people are making out. Some people expect too much! I assume Edberg's EF in heat 2 was terminal? He was poor (only caught it from heat 3 onwards). I thought he was woeful at Ipswich earlier in the year, but seemed even worse round his home track! Got to give Liam Carr a run out if Edberg doesn't pick up soon. Surely?! As for Jörgensen and Lambert, it seemed like Lambert thought he could do some grasstracking ala Peterborough! He quickly found out that wasn't the case!
  3. Or Chris Louis' reactions when he realises how much he has to pay!
  4. A few weeks ago this looked like a very solid choice, as both sides looked to be battling it out for the final PO spot along with Swindon. Over the last few weeks, Belle Vue have cemented their place as the likely 4th place side, which leaves us with a number of 'dead-rubber' meetings towards the end of the season. Lakeside are very good (usually!) at Belle Vue, so this may be closer than expected, especially as the weather looks like it could be a leveller
  5. A former GP winner = useless at Speedway?! I really think you need to stay off the drink, Mr. S1!
  6. The worst of the stuff narrowly missed the east coast around lunch time. Shouldn't need to worry about an umbrella tonight...
  7. I think I was probably watching a different meeting to you in that case
  8. As far as I know, but speedway riders don't always end up retired. Just ask Kyle Hughes! It may be a case of needing a break for whatever reason.
  9. Poor Tungate had a nightmare. On a win or paid win in his first 2 rides when they were stopped. His bad day was further compounded by putting himself in the pits fence after heat 13 Thankfully, he got up okay.
  10. Gino probably would have scored more too if it wasn't for a snapped foot rest in his first race
  11. Negativity is a poisoned chalice! Until the negativity vanishes, expect a lot of close home scores.
  12. Didn't it score 9 points or so at Plymouth? Sometimes it pans out, sometimes it doesn't.
  13. I've slowly been becoming less interested in the GPs myself lately. These 2 'mishaps' haven't helped, but even before that, I have completely forgotten a GP was on until I saw something or other on Facebook, or on the internet somewhere. That being said, it is worth remembering that we have lost, for one reason or another, 3 of the most exciting Grand Prix riders in recent times - messrs Ward, Sayfutdinov and Gollob. Sure there are some exciting races still, but every now and again, those riders were capable of pulling off a 'Wow' ride. I look at the current lot and apart from Nicki, there's not many great entertainers. (Harris can entertain in EL, but less so @ GP level). Fundamentally, I think the GP series desperately needs riders like Ward and Sayfutdinov back in there as soon as possible.
  14. Were my ears playing tricks on me or did Kelvin use the word 'penile' several times tonight?
