Belle Vue, Kings Lynn Or Swindon For 3rd/4th Spot
MrMungo replied to Trevor's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
But they still have Bjerre! I would expect KL to get the double over Leicester. It may be squeaky bum time when it comes to home matches against Swindon and Coventry though. 2 losses there and it looks bleak for them, but if they win those matches, then I think it may be Belle Vue who lose out. -

6 or 7 points against Leicester this week for King's Lynn, and they look a lot safer -

That could be a fun household tonight! -
2nd round of U21s, which slightly limits the guest options, I'd imagine.

Won't be much of a choice. Assuming Rohan is still banned then (not sure), it will be 4 guests, R/R + Cameron Heeps/Ashley Morris.

Going to be a tough night for Ipswich with several riders having been caught in traffic

Belle Vue, Kings Lynn Or Swindon For 3rd/4th Spot
MrMungo replied to Trevor's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I think much depends on Swindon's away form. They have some really tough away matches. Unless one of the others trip up somewhere along the line, they are going to need an away win at one of the 'big' sides, I think. Assuming all of the teams win their remaining home matches only they will finish on: King's Lynn: 51 Belle Vue: 49 Swindon: 45 Remaining fixtures: KL (H): Leicester X2, Coventry, Swindon KL (A): Leicester, Swindon, Poole BV (H) Lakeside, Swindon, Wolverhampton, Leicester BV (A): Poole, Wolves Swindon (H): Coventry, King's Lynn, Leicester Swindon (A): Wolves, Belle Vue, Poole, Coventry, King's Lynn, Coventry. -

The Twitter feed is generally good, and keeps people up to date quite quickly usually. -

The timing is generally pretty sluggish, but match reports (and similar) are not of a high standard either, and often have various typos. Sending best wishes to 'Kewis' for example is really, really poor, in my opinion. It only takes 2 minutes to proofread. Hardly a time consuming task. -

Belle Vue Aces V Poole Pirates 03.08.15
MrMungo replied to SteveLyric2's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The danger with RR on a night like tonight is that you can't predict how some people will be feeling. Kaiser Kevin is a surprising choice, but presumably the options are limited due to some people not feeling up to it aswell as it being quite late in the day to get to Manchester on time. -

Why wasn't Bjerre in heat 15? Would've thought with his win in heat 14, he'd be the 'in form' rider -
Somerset V Ipswich 24/07/15
MrMungo replied to rustyre bel1's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I fully expect Somerset to win this one, but Ipswich have been very competitive on the road this year. I think apart the Sheffield match where they should have taken a point in reality, they have picked up something from every away track apart from Armadale over the last 3 months. -
I've watched it 3 times and I really can't see that! Looks like he maintains a consistent speed. I think he priobably just wanted to get back to the pits as soon as possible to see if he get back on his other bike that was a bit tangled up from the heat 10 crash. Thanks to Broadsider for the uploads - I actually missed the incident at the time.

Richie Worrall (the Future Of Speedway)
MrMungo replied to topaz325's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
A GM engine doesn't have to cost £5500! You can buy a new one for half that amount. -
Never a truer word spoken. If nothing else, last night showed the exact reasons why a promoter should never be allowed to be 'micman'. Why on earth it has been allowed to happen for so long, I'll never know. His squeal like a pig was appalling, he never should be allowed to entice the crowd in the manner he did either, nor should he be allowed to attempt to influence the referee's decision. As for his behaviour in the pits, words truly fail me!

Greenwood looked bit better with every passing ride last week, not a bad choice given the limited options.
