With the strong top two that you have, they should be good for double points home and away, the rest of the team only need to be improvers for you to be up there challenging for Honours, at the moment its difficult to call who will or who wont be up at the Top.

Save Weymouth Speedway Campaign
greyhoundp replied to Save Weymouth Speedway's topic in National League Speedway
Seems to me guys if "Wessex Delivery Partnership" wont answer the phone, then you need to park yourselves outside their offices, and get a some answers from them, when they go into work. Best of luck with this guys, it seems to me if Weymouth can do the right promotion of speedway, it will at least break even, just needs to get "Wessex Delivery Partnership" onside for this. -
Firstly if its true that Dudleys promotion voted against Mildenhalls return, then i as a Fan am very dissapointed in them for doing it, and would hope they have the b*lls to explain WHY. Secondly NICE to see armo back in The Heathens Team, but is it a move that can win us the League, i am not convinced of that, because whilst Adam Roynon is a brilliant signing, can he remain injury free for a whole season ??, remembering guests are only allowed for an absent No1, can we cover adequately should Adam get injured again ?, and if my calculations are correct, then this means Jake Anderson will not be back in the Heathens Team in 2011 as we dont have enough points left.
-
So for Tier 2, the person has to be at the Top of his/her proffesion to gain a Work Permit ?? jeez how can one describe PL second strings as "Top Of The Proffesion" especially if a British rider has NO team to ride for.
-
So i take it all Commonwealth PL Second strings, and NL can only ride here for 2 years, then they have to go to Tier 2 ??, this is a bit of a minefield which the BSPA needs to tread carefully, especially if there are British riders out there who dont have a Team to ride for, because if the unemployed british riders decide to take this further, there could be some far reaching implications.
-
Henning, like simon, i am as surprised that Sport can op out of the right to work rules for EU citizens that all other industry has to comply with, because not only is it a Sport, it is an industry where people can and do make a living out of.
-
Henning, that statement is not correct, at least i dont think it is, if someone is from any country outside the EU, they have to have 5 years residency here, do the life in the UK as you did, and even then it is not guaranteed, my GF is from asia, and she does not qualify for permanent stay status, until 5 years residency, anyways good luck, and i dont really see how the BSPA can keep you out of the NL if you really want to ride, were you of another particular sectarian decent, then they would be having a field day over this non EU ruling, good luck pal.
-
I withdrew the Topic, as it was factually incorrect.
-
Now whilst i do know whom Will.P is i dont know who frostylion is, If you believe you are correct frostylion i would like to ask where YOU get your figures ??. For your info fl, Will is Team Manager of The Heathens, so i would have expected him to have the correct averages available to him, prior to the signing of any available rider.
-
It has been announced on the Heathens fans forum, that Adam has signed for the Heathens for 2011, if that is correct and Adam can remain injury free, then he will be a great signing for the Heathens, and it again shows our intent, not to just be in there to make up the numbers, and to try and improve on last season on Track.
-
I forgot to put in my previous post that along with the minimum 2 point average, i would have protected Heats in Heats 8 and is it heat 12/13 <riders as programed>i dont have a program here with me, but the other race where a 2nd string rides with the reserve ie NO tactical subs in those races, this will not destroy young lads confidence by having a Heat leader against him, and not give us races where the winner is half a lap in front.
-
If the AGM finally takes place on Tuesday, some things i would like to see adressed are; a Points limit of 40, ALL new Commonwealth riders parentage or not to be assessed on 5 points, minimum riders average of 2 points, KO Cup to be completed by end of July,League to be decided on overall points, League Shield to be competed for at seasons end by Top four Teams,National Trophy to be decided for by the Teams finishing 5th to 8th.
-
What i was thinking AM, was probably most of your NL Team would not yet be ready for the Pl, plus it would be a way of retaining Seemond who will possibly struggle to find a Team, unless he signs for maybe IOW, dont know but it was just a line of thought. Really dont know why, Coventry, and Somerset dont run NL Teams, for Tracks that OWN There own Tracks the outlay is minimal, and whilst supporters are reluctant to watch NL racing as an alternative to Senior League racing, providing the meetings are held on a Weekend when most people can get along to watch, there is really No reason why these Tracks cannot at least break even with there NL Teams.
-
YES, I was suggesting Plymouth may well consider running a NL Team in addition to the PL Team, such as Newport,Kings Lynn,Newport,Rye House,Scunthorpe,Belle Vue etc, etc.
-
I would go for more than ten, 1 of either Sittingbourne or Weymouth, plus i would think possibly Plymouth, and maybe a Surprise application .
-
Looks like we can add Belle Vue to the sides intending to run in 2011.

Belle Vue Colts Apply For National League
greyhoundp replied to Rob B's topic in National League Speedway
This has to be great news for Northern Speedway and young riders, lets just hope the Fans support the idea, it has to be the way forward, and ALL EL/PL Teams that own there own Track should be going this way, i personally would not be at all surprised to see Plymouth running a NL Team if the planning conditions allow. So much for the doom and gloom merchants who forcast tough times for the NL in 2011, seems to me its only the Hierarchy further up the Speedway ladder who hold back the NL, if only the BSPA had the foresight to filter down a little of the SKY money to the NL then i am sure The NL and the development of YOUNG British riders would Thrive once again. -
Well Jim if you read this link http://www.dudleynews.co.uk/sport/8774511.Delays_frustrate_Heathens_chief/ its not only the Fans who are frustrated with the cancelation of the NL agm, Oh you are,nt by any chance a BSPA promoter are you ?? LOL. Nigel has indicated he would like to re sign Tom Perry, and include Darryl Ritchings in addition to the signing of Ashley Morris, but cant finalise anything until the 2011 points limit is agreed, along with ALL the other NL Teams, Thank you BSPA. then the general public would make good promoters i would guess Vince
-
Jim do i detect more than a little sarcasm ?? so EVERYONE else has to suffer due to the COMPLETE incompetence of the BSPA, and 2 Clubs bring the WHOLE sport to its knees which is what has happened by the uncertainty that has been created, jim the whipper dont you realise Speedway is almost a laughing stock to other non Speedway people, mostly because it makes up the rules as it goes along, and common sense does not appear to exist amongst some of our more established promoters.
-
There is NO reason that the NL agm cannot be held on January 10th or the original date for that matter. Hold the AGM formulate the rules and regs for season 2011, accept any potential new clubs, and certain other Teams can give an indication they may well apply dependant on other decisions higher up in the League structure then an EGM can be held at a later date probably early February, if there are NO more potential Other Teams then the EGM can simply be cancelled. Whilst there are problems elsewhere in Higher Leagues it is simply not fair to Clubs,Riders,Spectators and potential Sponsors to be held in a state of limbo purely because of indecision/uncertainty elsewhere, how must sponsors and Potential new teams view this INDECISION it does not come across well to ANYONE looking to become involved in the Sport for the 1st time, let alone other die hards who have been involved in the Sport for many years. I notice some Decisions have been made to allocate certain fixtures to Stoke already, so its not as if other things cannot be decided.
-
Maybe another way to bring back the local derbies with Brum,Wolves,Dudley,Coventry, and Stoke is if the EL Teams put a Team in the Nl Trophy only, is this allowed ?? this would give some lucrative enthralling meaningful local derbies.
-
Just a pity we cant have Coventry,Birmingham,Wolves enter a team in the NL vog, some great derbies between Stoke, the Heathens and those three, would also be very profitable, so theres a justification for it, to subsidise there EL Teams.
-
Okay i dont want to drag this thing down to the depths, but it sickens me when someone comes on here with TOTALLY Unfounded accusations that this rider has done this, that rider has done that, all i will say is Rogue Trader PROVE It or i suggest you withdraw YOUR Unfounded Accusation about Micky Dyer. Back to the Topic, i havent looked at points tallies etc, but would love to see,Micky D,Tom,Jake, Ash,Armo <Newport asset> who i would suspect want him back, so that is a four plus i would guess Darryl Ritchings, which leaves us with 2 riders depending on points totals to find and fit in.
-
RT, Its old ground now,but i take it YOU can prove Micky Dyer was only on a 6 month visa, but the Topic Title is Heathens 2011, and so far only Ash is a confirmed signing, others will have to wait until NL AGM before 2011 rules and regs are confirmed, this is the worst part about a late AGM signings cannot be agreed when points limits are not known.
-
Bloody hell Tsunami, since when did the BSPA and its Promoters realise that the NL existed, except when it suits them, i repeat again why does the NL have to suffer because of EL Incompetance, maybe they will pass down some of the SKY money to compensate. WHO got the Sport into this mess to begin with ?? you ? me ? The NL or anyone else on here ?? no i dont think so.
