Centre Green Parking At Blunsdon
greyhoundp replied to Adder's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
If you want a Stadium, just make sure it gets built before The Houses do, if you don't, you will never get it built. Still waiting on Bristol, Still waiting on Reading, Still waiting on Milton Keynes, and if the houses get built first at Swindon, it will be the same scenario. They will take the money to pay salaries, Top up the pension pots, and submit another plan to build houses on the speedway site, in a few years. -
I have noticed this season, there are very few thread starters for meetings in the NL, my own Heathens have an odd meeting thread, whereas in seasons past, most meetings there was a thread about. Kent seem to be just about the most regular contributers now, Buxton, Stoke very little. I don't know if this is due to Fb or Twtr or more worryingly a general lack of interest in NL racing.
-
I will give you another, James Wright, I saw him at Buxton before he had even ridden PL, and thought tremendous prospect, this year he has retired from the Sport, or at least is having a break.
-
Well done Buxton, a tremendous win, has to be the result of the season, in any League, and Charles Wrightski surely deserves a ride or two in the PL.

Kent Kings V Stoke, N Trophy, July 15,2013
greyhoundp replied to a topic in National League Speedway
So no doubts we wont see JTW coming on here to say well done, though he is quick enough to say otherwise when he doesn't do so well. One of these days we just might see The Kings top 3 all score well on the same evening, at the moment it seems if Ben does well Benji has an off night, and if Benji scores well Ben has a poor night. That all illusive first win, surely cant be far away, especially if Jake Knight has signed, Kent badly need a solid 6 pointer in there, who can score the odd double figure return. -
I presume he rejected your advances again, you went pretty quiet for a few weeks, now you are back with your snide comments, JTW there is some woodwork close to where you live, do us all a favour, and climb back into it. This meeting wasn't only lost at reserve, take a look at the Heat leaders scores.

Buxton V Coventry (the Storm) 7/7/13.
greyhoundp replied to Gemini's topic in National League Speedway
any away win is vital NO matter who it is against, especially in Storms position, of pushing for the play offs, and Buxton have Charles Wright, no mug anywhere, and good for 18 points at home, so its never a gimme at Buxton. -
Buxton V Coventry (the Storm) 7/7/13.
greyhoundp replied to Gemini's topic in National League Speedway
Yep, That's the name I was trying to think of Neil. -
I still have Stoke to win this, all round the better Team, now if you used Michael Neale in there somewhere then there is a possibility, but I don't see your bottom three getting enough points to win this, Boxhall good for 14/15, Morley maybe 10, Compton the same, Kirby maybe 6, still leaves you short, but if say Michael Neale could be used at 6 or 7 then that's completely different.
-
No, I don't think so, Smartie, Priest, Reade if fit, hughesy if he has a bike, and Payne and Chessell will carry to much fire power for The Kings, now if it were at Central Park, then I would agree, however I wouldnt mind if I was wrong.

Really a post from someone who should realise Adam is returning from a serious Head injury, and been out since the 1st week of the season, to expect him to hit the ground up and running really is to much to ask. Really those comments are totally unjustified, there is not many who try harder than Adam Roynon. I really wish it was possible for him to hit his pre injury form in the return, and ram the comments where they deserve to be.

Slightly OFF topic, it seems like Proctor is out for the season, thoughts on who might replace him ?. -

Mimmo, I am having the same problem, sometimes I can get round it by using enter, down arrow and space bar. -
King's Lynn V Mildenhall (nl) - 3rd July

I don't dispute he is a vast talent, but let him have 1 season in the PL, its hardly going to hinder his progress is it ? you know let one or 2 of the older heads maybe rough him up a bit, have a go on a wet track with a mouthful of shale in his face, then go for EL, Polish League whatever in 2015, he will be what ? still 16 at the start of the 2015 season, maybe only just under 17 but nonetheless still 16. -

Fully agree with this, Buxton will be an interesting Track to see him on, as would Monmore Wood, both Technical Tracks, hopefully if The Young stars get through in the KO Cup or into the Play Offs we will see him at one of them at least. However I am not knocking his undoubted talent, just walk before he runs... Why not ?. -

Yeah Lewis is flying at the moment, but you know all these guys are racers, so I do think it matters to them, if they win lose or draw. -
Island V Coventry Storm 2nd July 2013
greyhoundp replied to NeilWatson's topic in National League Speedway
Hmmmm, and who are The Islanders riding against on August 6th ? It should be a cracker of a meeting, and one not to be missed. -
Island V Coventry Storm 2nd July 2013
greyhoundp replied to NeilWatson's topic in National League Speedway
Good away point there from Coventry Storm, there is NO need to say where The Islanders won this, as the Islanders reserves scored paid 33 between them. Im thinking the form of Tom Young must be becoming a worry for the Islanders management, because Adam Ellis only has one more meeting before he probably becomes the Islanders No1, and only able to take five rides rather than 7 if needed, and with Brendan Johnson available, will we be seeing a return on the cards ? Im not sure, but it has to be a possibility. -
King's Lynn V Mildenhall (nl) - 3rd July
greyhoundp replied to Mimmo's topic in National League Speedway
This should be a very interesting local derby, and following the Tigers somewhat surprising away win at Cov Storm, I think most people will expect a tight meeting, and if anything an away win, however we have here the Robert Lambert factor, and probably 18+ points from him, probably 10 each for Worrall and Kerr, that takes Young Stars up to 38 points, can Hazelden, Mallett, Waldron get the 8 points needed for the win ?, I think they can, and will, I can see Tigers top 5 putting up a heck of a fight, but I think the best they can hope for, and all they really need is an away point, and another away win somewhere else, whereas if The Young Stars are to have any hope of getting to the Play Offs they cannot afford to NOT win this all important for them home meeting. In the NL as a whole it is becoming a 5 Team race to make the Play Offs, and the final all important place seems to be coming down to Coventry Storm or Young Stars, Storm have the points in the bag, Stars still have to get them, Home win but by how many ?. -
Kent Kings V Isle Of Wight Koc 24th June
greyhoundp replied to blueherb777's topic in National League Speedway
In fact HT is a sponsor of Adam, HT is a very good supporter of British speedway, and riders. -
Im not to sure there is that much wrong with him, a few wins wouldn't sort out. http://speedwayupdat...nal-1-24th-2013 But since the Danish Final his form has gone downhill, even in Denmark.
-
I am 95% sure Martin lives in Cornwall, its not easy for any young rider, good luck Martin.
-
What average would Nicolai Klindt come in on ?, he is a rider with tons of ability, but is seriously lacking in confidence right now, would be a much better option than Kling, and if he were to regain that lost confidence, you would have a serious points scorer there, and right now he would have plenty of time to settle in.
-
It brightened up here mid afternoon over here west of Birmingham, but an hour or so ago, it closed in again and we now have steady rain, is it on, do i have to finish work early, or forget it ?, this is a meeting worth seeing, good luck.
