I do believe Gustix, that you are more or less housebound, so therefore people on here should be cutting you a little more slack than the average poster, so come on guys lighten up.
-
Tremendous signing, lets hope they can sort out the red Tape.
-
That depends very much how The Teams build, 5 x 6 pointers and 2 x 3 pointers would be another way to go, now that Lakeside have again decided not to pursue the NL, maybe the Limit will be 38 Max and 30 minimum, my own opinion is i would like to see the max as 36 thereby bringing the League closer together in terms of competivness.
-
Kent have used 26.25 points for the 4 signings, 36 points has been suggested as the new points limit, which will leave you 3 x 3 pointers to complete your line up. No Simon, no Benji, and no David, certainly with the riders you have announced so far you should be up there, but of course these final 3 signings are going to be significant, and Eastbourne, Rye House and Kent are going to be scrapping for the best of them in the South East. Will Daddy Silver be doing baby Silver any favours ?.
-
And which of us two raised Cradley on this thread ? The South East has a great opportunity right now, with training Tracks at Rye and Eastbourne, and Iwade, that gives youngsters every opportunity now, to progress in the sport.
-
How much is Benko paying Plymouth, so that he can ride for them ?.
-
Hahaha, You are another that doesnt understand Cradley Fans, do you think for one moment we will stand for being sold down the river to Birmingham ? No we wont, but we have been around for a few years and unlike Kings who are a completely new Team.
-
I think what AJ is saying, is surely there is a clash of interests here, can you imagine if one of the teams (Kings or Raiders) is pushing for a title, we could have the scenario where the weaker Team loans the stronger Team shall we say a good reserve to help them out with a Title push. Hmmmm i think Two Teams in the same League with shared interests is taking things one step to far.
-
On about young Germans I like the look of young Kai Huckenbeck lovely stylist, but would he come to the UK ?. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P2RcJKjbqlc

Cleggy is a good lad, and he wont let you down, obviously it will take a little time for him to adjust to the PL, but he is one for the future, and surely thats what a reserve is all about, not a foreigner who will never be better than a 4 pointer, If Fox doesnt come back, you could do a lot worse than signing Novatril, in my opinion a better prospect than Fox and on a par with Manzares, but of course he would start off on a 5 point average.

Birmingham Brummies 2015
greyhoundp replied to ProudtobeaBrummie's topic in National League Speedway
firstly yes they may be boosted, but still only 1 rider will win each race, be it a home or away rider, I am not great on history but in recent times i cant recall 2 Teams in the same division Track sharing. -
Then to compound all of this, I read today Ellis Perks a young Brit/Aus whose Uncle Dave lives in Cradley has been signed by none other than Poole, Yes i am a Cradley fan (Wolves Fc) but to see Wolves management miss out on a young prospect with local links, tells me an aweful lot about where they are at this moment, Im sorry to say they seem to be yesterdays men, and continually one step (at least) behind Matt Ford.

Cradley have never entered the NT Im guessing neither will The Brummies, The KO Cup now thats a different thing Im pretty sure both Teams will be entered for that. The cut off date for the League is usually end of September. so it gives roughly 29 weeks, for 10 Home League meetings and possibly 3 Cup meetings, Im sure a bye can be arranged for the 1st round of the KO Cup. Cradley have staged the Under 21 Final for the last 2 seasons, it would be nice if it could be held at Perry Barr. Whats the planning conditions on the Bank Holiday fixtures at Perry Barr ?. -
Firstly in reply, i thought Starkie was holding his own for Brum at reserve in 2014, long term maybe Bates is the better prospect, on the night of the Under 21,s if you gated and rode the white line you won, josh did that and won. Personally CVS and PA have got it wrong, Blackbird and Starkie was the pairing, they know the Track, know each others riding style, Im sure Starkie aint bothered, but its Wolves who have lost out.
-
Yeah the bigger picture was KL came runners up to Poole in the 2014 Play Offs. Poole had 2nd pick of Tier 2, KL had last pick now i dont care what anyone says thats WRONG and if you cant see it go to Specsavers..
-
I dont know who has organised the draft this year but its turned out like British Speedway in general. Auty, Garritty, Newman fast track riders ?? lol you may as well include all British riders its a total farce.. Poole will pick Newman and am i correct in thinking they have last pick of Tier 1 but 1st pick of Tier 2 ?. All of the Tier 1,s should be in the full 1 to 5s, and Tier 2 really should be the Fast Track riders..its a complete joke, FAST Track for riders who have been around for years, what a farce..
-
Yes Islander 15, you are normally pretty spot on with your comments, however i think Hunter is probably correct, Brandon never seemed to get going in 2014, it seemed one injury after another at the start of the season, then he just seemed to drift away.
-
Despite having not covered expences in 2014 and relocating to a new Track, Cradley Heathens have announced the following; “We are pegging our admission prices at £11 adults, £8 concessions and £2 children and our programme will again be available for £2.50.
-
No not a gamble at all, solid points scorer and will bring the experience that will be needed in the Team, when he averaged 7+ 2013 the League was stronger than in 2014.

Stoke Potters Sadly, The Perennial Failures
greyhoundp replied to iannewsman's topic in National League Speedway
I understand what you say, better the devil you know, but i did stress the Speedway rights, Dave could retain the Stock Cars, and lets be totally honest here there are a few Speedway fans that have been alienated over the Years, including Im led to believe the former supporters Club. The sticking point may be, just what would any potential new promoter be buying ? the rights to promote Speedway, Flat track, and any Motorcycle related sport. I guess rent would still be payable to the Corbetts without there being a middleman, it would not be viable at the moment for someone to rely on Speedway to generate enough income, i noticed somewhere The Scunthorpe Promoter said income from Amateur meetings was vital, and there is no reason the same couldnt be done at Stoke, again it would be vital to get the correct deal when thrashing out just what is being purchased. I really wish everyone good luck at Stoke, and truly hope that something can be sorted out in time for the 2015 season, providing there is goodwill on all sides i dont see any reason why Speedway and Stock cars cannot continue. -

Well in one way it may be considered to be sad, but in another way providing someone could purchase the Speedway rights from Dave Tatum, it could be a blessing in disguise. -

Well if its 3 to 1 that will be because your guys didnt turn out. -
Last season the draft except for Garrity and Newman was by and large from the previous seasons NL riders, this season it seems to be from experienced British riders in Auty, Birks, Boxhall, Roynon, Newman, Blackbird, S Worrall, and why not C.Wright, Cook, Lawson, Howarth ? they are all of similar experience, and if its going on experience can someone explain the difference between R.Worrall and S.Worrall ? apart from about 8 minutes in there age For me all of these riders should be in the full 1 to 5, with the next round of riders being FTR,s. being 6s and 7s ie Starke, Lambert, Morris, Sarjeant, Kerr, Nielsen, Greenwood, Halsey, Jacobs, Branford, and then the B draft, off the top of my head, Clegg, Hopwood, Greaves, Bates, Rose, Perry, Compton, Carr, Greenwood. There has to be progression within the FT system otherwise the whole thing will get clogged up, and the only thing left will be to save money. To make the whole thing succeed it really needs the PL to be brought on board with this, maybe encourage them by offering British reserves from the NL something like an average reduction of 25% or 50% not great but at least some incentive.

I think the less said about that regime the better, there is going to be a nasty taste in the mouth whenever they are mentioned, and unfortunately for some it will never be overcome, lets ALL put them where they belong (in the Dustbin) and move on, its going to need you guys to get behind Tony Mole and the Team in 2015, Im pretty sure some Cradley fans will come along to watch from time to time, especially when winning League points will do either of us a favour, hopefully we can both get to the Play Offs and have a great atmoshere at the Barr between the two sets of supporters. it might be an idea for Birmingham and Cradley to get together and have a joint season ticket in addition to there own Club Season Tickets. -
