  1. To be honest that Team doesnt really rock my boat, needs to be riders that are going to improve, cant see to much improvement in the Heat Leaders, same goes for the 2nd strings, Basford went backwards as the season went on, and i think there are better around than Atkins, Bickley for one, Borzuck or however you spell it Lawlor, Rowe are others, TPs heart is at PB where he feels wanted, LC will do well to maintain his average. I think something along the lines of this Team.. 1.Dan Bewley 8.65 2.B.Hopwood 5.83 3 Ellis Perks 8.25 4.D.Phillips 6.25 5. M.Neale 4.85 6.K. Bickley 3.00 7. j.Lawlor 3.00 Total; 39.83 Young Bewley can only improve, Ben Hopwood on a low 5+ has to be the best 5 pointer in the League (if fit). Ellis Perks, Danny Phillips, and Mike Neale have unfinished business at Cradley, while any two from Bickley, Lawlor, Borzuck, or Rowe would do me nicely, i think every rider in that Team will improve there averages.
  2. Im sure as its Tony Moles last season they will be going all out to make it a Hat Trick, added to which they are in the shop window so to speak..
  3. Well it would be nice to read a statement something along the lines of "The NDL Agm, will be held in late December to enable Lakeside, Plymouth, and BV every opportunity to finalise there arrangements" then most genuine supporters would understand why no date has yet been given, but NO thats to much hassle for the NDL Co-ordinator to do, though one thing is for sure its pretty certain the same Co-ordinator will continue in his present role, I personally would nominate Deanno, at least he knows which way the bikes go round the Track, well i think he does.. .
  4. There really needs to be some positive news pretty quickly i think the NL agm is almost upon us, not sure when but cant be far away..
  5. I think if Crawley run up an unbeaten run their nickname could well be "The Crawley Crushers" similar to "OmmerUm" yeah the new Slough
  6. The "Creepy Crawleys" i hear that Frank Enstein is the first signing for 2017 and Wood Lice may be one of the 3 pointers..
  7. Oh yeah dont we just love him and Im sure if nothing else he will want Tony Mole to go out on a winning note
  8. Im guessing thats a Tongue in cheek comment as both are highly unlikely.
  9. Do they really think thats the only worthwhile thing to announce after Day 1 ?, do they think we are all mugs, if thats all we deserve to know..
  10. I would have thought the first thing at any AGM would be that before a Team can declare for any League, that they first and foremost sign off to say all riders have been paid any outstanding monies, then and only then they can declare for the following season..
  11. Yeah, but 10k paid annually is a big chunk, especially for NL Teams, i cant imagine that they have to pay 10k surely not, which could be why they dont have a say at the AGM.
  12. Yes we all agree Deanno, but there are always Promoters willing to buy success, and therein lies the problem, but maybe the answer lies in a fixed admission price for every Team, example EL meetings to charge no more than £14 all SKY meetings £10, PL meetings £12 Sky meetings Tenner, NL is the difficult one, but i firmly believe £10 is a fair price, and every NL Team to get £1000 per year out of the SKY monies.. if promoters wont do it then they deserve everything that they get. This would make it difficult to pay riders over the odds, unless they have deep pockets.
  13. Yes and well done Jayne, at least Buxton dont take the easy way out and NOT pay riders.. I dont get an earlier point raised whereby Captains have to sign to say if they have been paid, its not relevant unless the BSPA were to step in and pay the riders, which IMO they should do..
  14. This is a fallacy that Clubs have to be in big cities, Brum struggle and without the over 50,s they wouldnt exist, London doesnt really have a Team.. the problem is there is much more competition for young peoples time and money.. I dont go to Poole so dont know who actually makes up there attendances, So far as Im aware Somerset are one of the best supported PL Teams, not much else to do around Bridgewater... What is there to do around Poole on an evening ? Go to Poole Park, Take a walk along Holes Bay, Shops such as they are pretty much close at 6-00pm, I dont even know if there is a Beach at Poole...so that pretty much gives Poole Speedway little or no competition for the leisure £20... but when the NL venture failed i must admit i was a little surprised that it didnt come off.
  15. Many thanks to Sue and her Team for yet another wonderful season of Updates, where would us Fans that live many miles from our Tracks be without this brilliant service, even BBC WM regularly check out latest scores and indeed plug updates when they do Live broadcasts.. thanks guys..
  16. If anyone really wants to know, you send a Location map to the Land Registry pay a small fee, I believe £3 and they will return to you a copy of whatever leases are held on that particular site and that applies to all Speedway Stadia, and indeed any land in the Country..
  17. I have a spare tin of Kit e Kat, if you would like it..
  18. Having seen both Kent and Eastbourne at Monmore recently, Eastbourne are currently the strongest Team, and there is the likelihood of both finals being between Brum and Eastbourne.. who will win it all hinges on how tight the Eaglets can keep it up at Perry Barr, sorry Kent but Eastie will win through.
  19. The writing has been on the wall for a few years now, the BSPA really need to wake up, and smell the Coffee its almost to late..
  20. Hmmm not easy... In the NL, i think first you have to look at Brums Team, you have a number of riders there Hume, Parkinson Blackburn, Smith, Bacon, Then at Perks in the last few weeks, then across at Kent, Thomas, over at IOW has to be Stoneman, and of course as you say Young Bewley.. Clegg has improved, but he started from a high point anyways.. but not enough to be classed as a biggest improver... Im not much up on other Leagues, but BWD, Starke, S.Worrall,
  21. If anyone involved with Speedway cannot see thats its almost on its last legs, then they shouldnt be in Speedway.. whilst i dont know Neil and this is not aimed at him, this post should have been given to someone who has an objective view of the issues within Speedway, not to someone from within who sees the Sport from within its own time warp... WE simply have to make the Sport more affordable, we have to ensure the SKY money drifts down to the grass roots, and doesnt simply continue to subsidise poorly promoted Elite league Teams that are only Elite due to the SKY income.. the other major issue is attendances as i said earlier the cost has to be reduced so therefore admission prices can be reduced, Teenagers need to be enticed back through the turnstiles, look around you next time you visit any Track have a look how many under thirties or even under 40,s are there, reduced costs for families have to be considered... a nigh out for a family of four what will it cost ? the best part of £60+ how many families can afford that in there budget these days... not many i can tell you.. Im afraid to say but unless things change Neil will be presiding over the death throes of British Speedway, can anyone say hand on heart, British Speedway as we know it will be around in 10 years time, i doubt that i will, and neither will speedway in my opinion..
  22. This could be an interesting meeting, and for any Brum supporters thinking of going, i say go its my favourite away Track, and you will see what a fantastic job the promotion have done, and continue to do..
  23. Have to say i agree, and thats been clear for everyone to see.
