Hey LW - you'll be pleased to know that elsewhere on the forum I've been very nice about your favourite Dane. I think I probably need a lie down and one of me dried frog pills...NURSE! Also gutted for Leigh - he was quietly going about his business, and the mucks up the start. By his own admission, he was rolling and the ref caught him out. Still, he's now second, only 13 points behind Prima Donna Pedersen with 7 to go. he maysuprise me yet!

Saw his interview tonight in the GP,where he said he had stitches in both wrists. Did I miss something here? Has he been injured, or was it some sort of surgery - like Nicki P had? BTW - did not approve of Mr Ermolenko's comments about how he got the stitches. I certainly won't be repeating them, but they weren't funny Sam.

I hate to say this, but I actually agree with you on this one. I'm well known for knocking Mr Andersen - and I took the michael somewhat last time - but he was obviously very upset and suprised me by being fairly gracious. Well done AJ - if Leigh couldn't winit tonight, I'm glad it wasn't Pedersen.

Cardiff Gp 2007

Pretty sure I've seen people pay on the day. As to where to sit - I've sat top, middle and bottom - find bottom just as good for a view without giving me vertigo I've also sat on all bends. All are good - second bend lets you see who actually crossed the line first, which the others don't. -
New Bad Crash In Sweden

Thank you Bryn, for once again putting into words what I feel. It's completely knocked me for six to see another rider lose his life for the sport I love. RIP Kenny, RIP. -
Promise not to tell her, Uglydave? Pretty Please?

Thanks Scorpio - it's always useful to know these things. -
Scott Nicholls In The Gps
Bobbin' Along replied to Paula's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Have to say I think it's a shame Scott isn't doing better in the GPs. I don't know how long his supporters will be able to use his thumb injury/becoming a new Dad etc. for as a "reason" for his poor form. It could be he's destined to be another Phil Crump - great for his team, but pants individually. -

Well Done Leigh!

No Hans slagging from me at all, merely an observation. And yes, I still think he was sulking. Having just re-read Trees comment - how the heck can you call that slagging Hans off? Trees has also just noted an observation. The "haha" may not be your opinon, but it is Trees'. And Trees and I have every right to our opinions. -
I do hope you aren't thinking of a certain American TNT. Because that's gossip - and we never gossip on the forum...

Well Done Leigh!

And my, didn't the Dane throw his dollies out of the pram and sulk. Talk about a poor loser! Leigh deserved the win tonight. There are some who will say he was lucky because other riders were injured. It's true that Nicki P was flying, but Leigh was just so damn fast! And in the last heat, did anyone else but me and Mr BA notice that he may even have gone into the first bend (shock horror) a little hard on Nicki P? Now - all he needs to do is win the next 8, and the titles sewn up... -
Gp 3 Eskilstuna May 26

The track was rubbish, I hate to see Davidsson get any points - let alone 5 - but I'm so damn chuffed that Leigh won tonight, I don't care! -
Felt desperately sorry for Jagus. Perhaps, and it's a big perhaps, if Nicki P rode with more control in the first place, such "racing incidents" wouldn't happen so often? It's a thought.... I would not be at all suprised to see yet another rider take the next two weeks off omestic raising, yet be strangely fit for the next GP. Radical I know - but you heard it here first.

This whole question now seems academic. If the proposal is accepted by the SGP, then the wildcard will be the British Champion, unless that's Chris Harris or Scott Nicholls, in which case the place will go to the next highest placed rider. The reserve berths will be made up of the next two placed riders.

Well at least the two Swindon boys put up a good showing tonight. I would have been mightily hacked off if they had been missing for nothing! (not that we needed them at Oxford though... )

Name Of Famous Rider Who Committed Suicide?
Bobbin' Along replied to chris67bug's topic in Years Gone By
The local paper reported (eventually) that he was found suspended from the rafters in his loft conversion. What a terrible thing to feel you have to do. Poor, poor bloke. -

As a fellow sufferer over the years, I have to agree AndyM. I contemplated it, but never actually tried. I think it was because I was scared of failure. -

Just ask Rafael Kurmanski's parents whether or not enough they feel enough help was given to him before he decided to end his life. There are still troubled young, and older, men in the speedway world who will feel that there is no other option for them - sometimes even with the help that is available. And that's not including all the troubled souls in the real world. -
Whither Cardiff Tickets?
Bobbin' Along replied to studio14x.fsnet.co.uk's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I seem to remember the same sort of panic last yaer - and I was amongst the panickers to be fair. We always book our tickets as soon as we can, because we like to sit in the same general area, and booking them early meant savings as well this year. I probably won't start getting nervous until the first week of June. -
I can't remember the date that the ban was lifted, but I do remember Simon Cross's sister Julie riding. I know she had a spin at Telford in the only year I went (probably the 1st or 2nd running of the event).
