Good to hear, but, that should have arrived in the subscribers inbox first thing Thursday morning. I contacted the streamer on Thursday and received a courteous refund. -

Just wondering how was an injured rider, Adam Ellis, passed fit to ride? Who makes the call to ride or refuse? -

Somerset v Edinburgh

Looks like the right decision was made! Wouldn't have left until 18:30 so we wouldn't have been going anyway. -
Somerset v Edinburgh

Not half empty at all, when faced with £40 outlay to see processional racing and or track preparation hasn't been good enough so there is a delay or no racing at all, the lure of crap on the TV and few glasses of wine outweighs that Now you give me £40 and the glass can filled. My money and my choice plus been caught out several times before at Somerset, so caution applies. -

Agree with your logic and the weather although it is still raining at my work location. However, as has happened before, a heavy wet track doesn't do anybody any favours, riders protest, lengthy track work ensues, spectators become pissed off waiting. And then when racing starts, follow my leader stuff and called off shortly after. Decision at the moment is erring on the side of staying at home. Birmingham is now off. -
Was planning to be there tonight, with the amount of rain this morning in South Gloucestershire, I was wondering whether it the same fell at the Oak Tree Arena an d if so, the likelihood of it being up, anyone closer able to update?

Planning on being there tonight, only fly in the ointment is the rain that is forecast between now (ish) and 3 ish. Hopefully it won't be a problem and or the forecast is wrong! -
Not sure this works, if the numbers are correct, that would mean Zach at No 2, I would have thought the plan would be to have Zach at reserve.

Not any more as it has been announced this afternoon that Kemp has signed for Sheffield.

Hoorah if true as getting down to Somerset from South Glos on a Friday was awful plus being on a Wednesday it allows last minute decision to be made and doesn't mess up any w/e plans in the camper.

Ok, we went, a round trip of 100 miles from home and for what! This most be the worse meeting I have seen for the complete and utter lack of urgency from anyone to keep the meeting flowing. Not on the TV and took just over 2 hours to complete. The presentation just has to be improved, I do not subscribe to the theory that you need to make it last so long to give value for money, the value is given by the racing of which there was none apart from a very few exceptions. When tapes are broken there is no need to refuel and have a long break, put the 2 minutes on straight away, do not allow a return to the pits or tinkering, get on with it.. Thankfully there wasn't an interval! The track action, well very little, Swindon used to be a pleasure to go to, no more. This was a bore fest, gate and go and of course the scoreline didn't little to help. I'm not going to say some were reducing averages or not riding to their full, my observation was that the track offered nothing to those trying to overtake, dire. In the programme Rosco is calling for radical thinking, I'd like to see more races, a lower pay rate to allow that to happen and on tracks that allow those who miss the gate the option to overtake, nothing more thrilling . Swindon's man of the match, Tom Brennan, rode well, give it his best, very unlucky with bike trouble robbing him of a 2nd place. In summary, we went, we saw, we wished we had stayed at home and saved the £34.

Not sure I'd agree with massive but as I'm not a regular I couldn't comment further, looked good but a attendance figure would be better to determine. That said, if that was massive and the best so far, worrying times perhaps? The first time I've been to Somerset and not had a lengthy delay / stoppages and very pleasant to only have the one track grading which meant the meeting flowed and allowed a pre 21:00 finish. Some said the meeting was excellent, hmm, good may be, some good races but the opposition didn't help, could have been and should have been so much better. Couple of non racing questions, why does it cost 50p extra per ticket to pay online? Portion of chips, a whopping £2.80, must be the dearest anywhere!

Really? Somerset scored 14 + 2, Swindon 2. In some ways in it down to the 6 & 7 as they can have 7 rides and replace those who are not performing / having problems. Widely accepted that Jack Smith is not effective leaving Zach to step up which he has done at home. Last night, it went downhill from Heat 1 onwards and apart from Bellego and Ellis it was hard to see how Swindon would get back into the meeting let alone come away with a point. The highlight, heat 15 and Musielak's form after his 1st two riders. Well tanked was our verdict and time to move on although that phrase has been used quite a bit of late!
