  1. True but I still think the riders would rather get on with it We will see how long it is twixt end of adds and the race
  2. Despite the rain they've still got time to go to the adverts instead of getting on with the last race
  3. Why is it that interviewers think it appropriate to think they can just breeze into the pits and expect everyone to drop everything to answer a few banal questions???
  4. It was odds on BV would knock up a cricket score 20 points at least that's my bet Not bad Only 2 points out
  5. They have been crap at Sheffield until tonight Thing is BV WANT it and will go and Get IT
  6. I think it will be a walkover for BV against Leicester, they will knock up a big lead to take down there
  7. I think old Aunty Vulous has been the man of the match BV deserved it if only because Sheffield wasn't in it from the get go
  8. When it comes down to it, it has been a pretty dull meeting over all
  9. Then the Sheffield riders should refuse to ride it till they get it sorted. I heard some time ago that Chris Holder wasn't happy with the track
  10. Looks like it's all over already Disappointing for the neutral expecting a great meeting Harris looks like the only Sheffield rider that looks really interested Rest of them seem switched off
  11. I would expect that BV would give it a real go and not surprised they are doing so. Most BV riders have a lot of experience and there is no reason why they should be 'phased' by a track they have ridden many times before.
  12. Heat 9 a great race spoiled by the fact that the tv company decided it was better for us to look at some handlebars while the race was unfolding before us.
  13. But in those days everyone got a chance of getting to the world final not the 'select few'
  14. You are right when you say Bartek would still win But, truthfully, right from the beginning of the GP's with the different scoring systems. I just thought why don't they just score in the time honoured fashion. We proceed on the assumption that they best will win, whichever way you perm it.
  15. It's very simply done. I think it's been tried before 3 points for a win 2 for 2nd place 1 for 3rd place In every race Quite simple I think then everyone would know where they were
  16. They do it to liven up the sport make it more interesting providing talking points when there is a dull meeting At least you can juggle with the scoring and 'guess' if BZ is world champ or not, that makes it more interesting too Baldrick would explain it better he would say 'it's all part of a ................................
  17. To even mention Zmarzlik in the same breath as dear old Tommy G is a crime against humanity in itself. Now htere was a great speedway rider. BZ has a real long way to go before he can me mentioned in the same breath.
  18. Being serious for a moment, I do think that Kelvin has a health problem of some sort. He slurs his words and trips up quite often if you notice. These could be signs of 'early onset' of something. I do think he needs to get a medical check up.
  19. It always all comes down to money. I do believe that most riders are not really interested in being WC. Even Tatum, commenting on Freddie having a bad night, and Robert Lambert being the only one 'who can save the meeting', seems to be beginning to realise that if things don't change the GPs will be pointless.
  20. I have said it before and I will say it here. More than once I have thought that most riders are happy to let BZ get on with it and that they are content to follow in his train. In other words if is seen to make the supreme effort then people might not notice if we don't. And just after I wrote the above Chris Louis almost said as much with 'it looks as if Freddie has thrown the towel in'. Precisely my point.
  21. I am just hanging around to see if he has an orgasm if and when BZ wins his fifth!!!
  22. And I am sure that either BV or ST will be equally grateful for that generosity when it's their turn
  23. Maybe the ref thinks that controversy maketh a meeting Have you thought of it from that angle ?
  24. you're stretching incredulity a bit there mate But you never know if self gloating Simon keeps up his wicked ways people might just edge themselves Aces way
  25. On balance you are probably right as it connects the neutral to the job in hand whereas otherwise one would have no interest whatsoever in the outcome of the meeting!!!
