Poole Vs The Aces For The Title
Odds On replied to Crazy robin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
well done to the Pirates who on paper are the champions but the real champions are the Aces. Also full credit to Cook who was by far the most consistant rider over the two legs. -

I believe you are correct but whether it gets changed or not is a different scenario!! -

he broke the rules and got away with it, he also broke the rules and got away with being foolish, another day and both could of been different outcomes. -
this forum will go into meltdown next week if Bomber guests for Poole!
-
Stick to the conversation and not hyperthetical occurrences, it was heat 15 and the meeting was long done.
-
Like I said some sad people in the world. Out of interest do you smile a people who have broken down at the side of the road?!
-
Some strange people if that's what floats their boat, as for a natural reaction?...I can't be natural then! Cheering at someone's misfortune is pretty low in any walk of life.
-
So you would cheer when someone has an engine failure?... Some sad people in this world.
-
very disappointed in the reaction by the Poole fans when Bomber crashed, even Middleditch said "fortunately Chris wasn't injured", the cheers went up as soon as he came off and no-one would of known if he was injured or not at that point. I also cant for the life of me understand why people cheer when someone has just blown an engine, quite clearly an expensive one at that when Hans blew his. As a neutral the meeting was over before it even started and imo a very poor advert for the sport. Having two meetings on in one night just doesn't work.
-
if Josh Bates scores more than a point I will be amazed. Poole to win this in a canter and thus will be a non event.
-
I disagree as the only people making money out of speedway are the riders and engine tuners. The people who should be making the money(the promoters) aren't.
-
the biggest problem is the promoters aren't making money out of the game, the promoters need to promote the sport and in turn make money out of the sport, I cant think of many businesses where the employees take home more than what is being raised through income. You can change uprights, laydowns, dirt deflectors etc etc but the real source of the problem is income for the promoters.

great performance by the Aces, it appeared that Swindon had one too many show ponies who didn't turn up when it really mattered! -

Rye House V Peterborough 7th September.

The team was poor, very poor before the season even started, Luke quitting was a very small factor in the grand scheme of things! -
Ever tried getting a hospital appointment or been unfortunate enough to be in A & E?....our health service cant cope with the numbers already in this Country let alone allowing even more in....the infra structures of this Country are just about at crisis point. Which ever way you look at it, paying parents an allowance so they can afford a child minder is plain wrong, if you cant afford children then don't have them. Also when a family earn more on benefits for doing jack shyte than a family who work for a living then the "system" that now plaques the UK is also wrong. The vast majority of refugees/immigrants who want to come to the UK are not coming to this Country to work they are coming because they now that it is an easy touch.

the interviews with Woffinden and Zagar just showed the difference in class between the two of them. -
so the biggest problem in speedway today is the TR rule?!

Rye House Vs Ipswich - Sat 22nd August
Odds On replied to IpswichDave's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Rye House for a home team were gash, Ed Kennett was professional and a trier but the rest?..looked like a team that wasn't motivated or couldn't give a damn. No disrespect to Morris but Rye's riders should of been beating him on their home track, another year and another shambles. The team was pish poor before the season started, all that has happened is what the vast majority of non rose tinted glassed Rye fans thought would happen! -
Belle Vue -v- Swindon Monday 17th August
Odds On replied to Phil The Ace's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Rossiter is a drama queen and loves the attention he receives, when things are going well he is the jovial village idiot, when things are going bad he is the Danny La Rue of British speedway!.. -
and you wonder why promoters and tracks are struggling?...last night was a common meeting for speedway, if the converted think it was a good meeting then there in lies the problem with speedway as we know it....todays speedway is not going to survive the test of time, it is boring, it is outdated, take a look at the entertainment on the track, its poor, take a look at the facilities, in general its poor. Go to the likes of Pboro, standing on the back straight with no cover and on grass, go to Rye House, if you don't wreck your car in the car park you are lucky etc. The average cost for speedway is shall we say £15, that works out at a £1 per minute of entertainment, yet if you take a look at most if not all updates it takes the track time to settle for some racing, that not acceptable... . Its about time the promoters, riders and hard core fans of speedway realised that the sport is just about fekked, ask the promoters at the likes of Scunthorpe, Berwick etc what they think, do you think if they were making money they would be in the situation they are? There's no straight forward answer but the sport needs to make the action entertaining, if you don't have a good product then you have no chance of selling the product.
-
Im guessing you don't understand the mentality of a speedway rider then!....you only have to look at some of the riders and where they are staying and then look at the home team they ride for! They chase the money and why not.
-
The meeting was shyte, no sorry what I meant to say was it was complete and utter shyte. If speedway fans think that was a okay meeting with no or little entertainment for nigh on 75% of the meeting then god help the sport...any newbie would of switched over by race three or four.
