Michael Penfold flying to UK to Thursday according to his FB page.Wonder if he will be thrown into action on Sunday??Better to wait for the jet lag to wear off surely, but you never know with these mad Aussies!
-
I could even see MJJ going straight to the elite league, he's doing well enough in the top tier in Sweden for Vargarna and rode well for Torun in their pre meeting challenge matches and only isn't riding in their first team due to a certain Mr Darcy, though they may be tempted to switch after poor results from reserve in their last match(Well i'm hoping since i will be there on Sunday!!).

Is Tyson going to be racing second halves around the country?Hope he's planning a run out at Hoddesdon!
-
I see that Tyson is the Aussie rep in the under 21 round in Gdansk on 15th May. I presume he's not flying all this way to Europe just for 1 meeting, so can we expect to see him doing the rounds of the second halfs here in the UK shortly after? I know he was planning to come over. Penfold,Begley,Stevens etc are coming over too i believe, are they waiting for our lovely summer to arrive? Over to you BFD!

Yeah in my dreams!!! Why are there no fat women in Poland?Seriously, you never see any,do they keep them locked at home!! Got the google maps printed out, but will hold off checking in online just yet in case those ash clouds float this way again as probably easier to rebook if not checked in yet, will remind you on Saturday, cant wait to go back!

Back from Poland a few hours ago, really enjoyed it,thanks for all the advice, everything worked out without a hitch(Apart from nearly boarding the Lech Poznan 'hooligan'train to Wroclaw by mistake!!). The meeting itself wasn't great, too one sided, sadly Tai was just as poor as he was there for the grand prix, completley outpaced, and PK had a mare, 2 points from 5 rides! However Lewis rode really well and the way he beat Adams in heat 8, after nearly doing it in his previous ride, was worth the admission alone. Hampel and Koldziej just as impressive as at the GP,some good racing and the stadium is of course superb. Sat with the 'ultra's'at first, good natured despite the football style chanting, drum beating etc. Had lovely weather for it too, though by the time i got back to Poznan, about 8pm, it was raining and didn't stop until i left today, though not hard enough to spoil my stroll around Poznan this morning. Looking forward to my trip back to Poznan on 6th June for a meeting against Daugvapils, but before then it's Torun next weekend!!

Not me? -
Thanks Rico and Tractorlady, very helpfull, think i will try the ICC office first in Poznan and write things down for Leszno station if they dont do open returns. Are the taxi's outside staions metered or do you have to agree a price or risk being fleeced? Will walk if i arrive in plenty of time but if Wizz air are running late then i may have to speed things along. I've avoided going when the meetings were cancelled due to the air tragedy and also when volcanic ash grounded the planes, now just have to survive the weather and a budget flight with 2 slipped discs!!
-
Ok thanks. Have you been to Slangerup before? If so is it easy to reach from Copenhagen? If the meeting is on afternoon/early evening i could even fly back that night, don't suppose the start time could be known yet?

Are these the semi's?

Anyone who's been to Poznan/Leszno before who can help me re my trip there on Sunday? I arrive in Poznan airport, if on time at 11.10 am, will get the bus L to the train station and then get a train to Leszno. Now i've got the timetable details but cant book a ticket online at this late juncture(Only found out start time of meeting is 4pm this morning). Anyone therefore bought train tickets at Poznan station?I read it can take up to an hour to queue to get tickets, but this site was old, is this still the case and will i need to arrive with a translation of my journey requirements to give to the cashier? Can you buy open day returns or will i have to queue again to get a ticket on the way back?Don't want to commit to an actual train time in advance as you never know with meetings is they will over run. Finally the stadium in Leszno looks walkable from the train station, but if i'm late or my back hurts too much, are the taxis reliable, any idea of cost? I know many of you have been to Leszno GP's etc but not sure how many travelled independently? Is buying tickets for the meeting itself straightforward? Thanks for any help in advance. Cheers

Is there really no way to find out the start times for the first 2 meetings yet????? -

The Kings Lynn round with GB,Aus+Sweden i believe which is why i was taking an interest in terms of who i will see whom i haven't seen before. Now do i cheer on the home team Italy as i've never seen Cavichiolli,Greganin and Novello, or Usa for Hedden,Slovenia for Krajlic or Finland to see Timo Lahti??? Was kinda hoping for another Lahti or Mustonen, and indeed Duh and Voldrih These things keep me awake at night!!Back to the funny farm.....

Polish Ekstraliga Round 2 Sunday 11th April
davidba replied to racers and royals's topic in International World of Speedway
Why is it so hard to find out Polish league meeting start times?I've looked all through the teams websites and the general news ones with my google translator and cant find any mention of the start times?Do they only decide them a few days before, depending if they are on TV? Specifically i need to know: May 2nd Leszno v Czechostowa May 9th Torun v Tarnow June 6th Poznan v Daugvapils(Though this one obviously ain't so critical yet) Any Polish friends know this info and where i can find start times in the future?? -
Polish Ekstraliga Round 2 Sunday 11th April

I wasn't around last weekend, i presume the meetings were called off, when are they being restaged? Can't see anything on any of the teams websites? -
Just re-reading the Speedway Star world speedway preview and noticed this final is at Slangerup in September.Having checked on google maps and the rejseplanen site it appears fairly easy from Copenghagen airport to go directly to Slangerup. So i'm seriously considering this now if my op etc go well as i'm bound to see a bunch of young Danes i've wanted to see.The semis are in July so i will know in plenty of time just who is riding, there is a qualifying round this month, anyone got details on that, or indeed any knowledge of/experience of going to Slangerup?Easy jet flights are about £50 return at present. Iris maybe i will get to see young messers Mickelsen and Mikkael Jensen to see what you've been raving about?

Any of the Dutch riders coming back to ride at Sittingbourne as was originally planned in November?

With GB in the final at RH, is it winner of each semi and a best runner up who qualify?
