  1. You are right that we could have had an 8.3 instead of a 6.9, I also thought we dropped down to re build our club and asset base. So we could have signed a new rider on a 7 to become yet another asset. Just a thought. Hurray, 100 pages of waffle.
  2. It doesn't matter if The qualify on top five averages, doesn't matter in the slightest, cos it was worked out on top 4 as per the rules. Why do people keep trying to put a positive spin on things.
  3. I think it must cost more putting together a top quality team team together with top quality heat leaders even at this level. If you put together a winning team though I would have thought the crowds may be a bit bigger and for example made the semi's and finals of any cup and play off semi's and finals, then the extra crowds would pay for the better riders. Poole get good crowds cos they are successful, the year they finished bottom or one from bottom, their crowd was way down. People like to be involved in success, just look at most football teams or other sporting teams that are successful compared to the ones that are not. Even my local football teams crowd went up from around 300 to 2000 spectators a couple of years ago when they won the league and had a good cup run. Even people that had never been before started going because they wanted to be involved in the success.
  4. Top 8 teams with the 4 highest averaged riders added together. We were 10 or something like that. There is more about it on the witchesfans site.
  5. Yes. To be honest, as long as we don't have some of this years team then that's good good enough for me. I would some riders that are hungry for success. How about Smith Tungate Poole North Howarth Heeps Morris Is that more realistic? That team may still happen, but obviously it won't be in that riding order.
  6. When is the 7 for? If its for next season then Barker Tungate Mikkel B Jensen Poole North Heeps Young Brit eg. Morris
  7. You must be able to buy a rider in the prem and not use them and they still belong to you? Didn't we pay a certain amount of money to Rohan so that he became our assxet? And does that also mean Jacobs is no longer our asset as he hasn't ridden enough matches for us.
  8. It's not about instant success though, its about the effort needed to bring success. I've been following the witches for 36 years, so I know its not about instant success.
  9. The only way Taylor will be back in the team is if he replaces Lanham or Doolan. Can anyone see that happening? People keep going on about improving our asset base, which either means purchasing a rider like Taylor from the horrors, have we got that sort of money? Probably not. So we need to find other riders that haven't ridden here before. Rasmus has been mentioned, so let's look at other young riders involved in under 21's as these are obviously the riders on the up. How about, Mikkel Michelsen, Vaclav Milik, Niclas Porsing, Mikkel B Jensen, he finished ahead of some very good known riders. Maybe they have all been asked, maybe they were all looked into before the season, but I doubt that, maybe none of them want to race in Britain. Maybe they are already destined to race for the pirates or the panthers, as they like good young Danish riders.
  10. There is nothing wrong with the young ones. They are on the way up. Jesper is on the way down, but has ridden at a higher level than any of our current riders have ever got anywhere near. Wasn't he world under 21 champ? Joe screen was on his way down too, but he can still score plenty of maximum in this league and does.
  11. EVen better, although most are happy with what we already have.
  12. So could we say offload morten and Matt, add their two averages together and replace with for example Jesper and hart? That would then give us a number 1 that we need and would move Lanham to a different position where he should score more and that would hopefully cover the difference in what Matt and hart might score.
  13. The thing is, Aljack is just as entitled to his opinion as you are yours. The simple answer is, if you don't like his opinion, then don't read it, or press ignore. I am not sticking up for him in any way, but you didn't have to put what you put which gives him another chance to respond.
  14. On a plus point, Atleast we won't be missing North since he failed to qualify for the under 21's. That can only be a bonus for the rest of our season. JEsper b is looking for a team place, what would his converted average of 5.09 be?
  15. AS a team they done enough to get an away draw though.
  16. Plus he then couldnt race for the horrors on a Thursday, which is why if is at a Saturday track
  17. Then Lanham could go somewhere else on a steal of an average and start banging in some good scores again, even at foxhall.
  18. Shame for Taylor, if not fitted back into our team he should easily get fixed up if another team is looking to strengthen. Also good to read that he wants to come back next season, although it would be bad pr saying anything else.
  19. Like I said, I can't remember, but obviously there have been a few. Probably doesn't happen very often. Wow, how did Berwick do that season?
  20. I can't ever recalling a rider having an average as high as Matt's being at reserve. So if Matt starts to put in some reasonable scores for a while, its likely that Morten or maybe Rohan could end up at reserve for July?
  21. Let's hope Matt will score better at reserve, he should win heat 2's easily enough, and will hopefully cover what Rohan doesn't score at number 2, a very tough position to ride in. Welcome back to Morton, let's again hope it doesn't take him too long to get back into it. With rye having a proper number 1 in their team, it could yet again be very close. I shall be cautious and go for a draw.
  22. Well wherever they put rohan, he will find it much harder now. Do we know who will be at 1 when the next set are out, not that I can see it making any difference our scoring power.
  23. So will Morten be back for Thursday? As we also have a meeting on the Friday and on the Monday.
  24. Didn't hear that or fast forwarded past it. It should help having Morten back in the side. Let's hope it doesn't take him too long to get up to speed, although it will take a few meetings. If he comes back and gets off to a flyer, that will help. Let's hope he can now go through the season without anymore injuries. He is a confidence rider that doesn't need knocking any more.
