  1. Wasn't Doolan on a low average for this season? He isn't exactly setting the world on fire at Redcar is he. Doolan is not the way to go for next season.
  2. Well done to the lad for giving it a go, apparently he only sat on a bike for the first time 10 months ago. The bigger question is, was he our best option? Maybe he was as i have not looked. I take it Taylor will be at reserve next month? Good luck to Glasgow in finding a cash injection.
  3. I would have thought the easiest riders to get hold of would be nl riders, so how about a handicapped event against nl select, ipswich minus 30 to 50 yards, 5 pound entry.
  4. Great score from Morten, that's far more like it. Although I dont expect it all the time, I think his scoring will improve now Kevin has gone.
  5. Don't think he found Rohan, he just came over last year and visited a few tracks.
  6. I don't care about the reason, As far as I'm concerned, the right rider was let go. Who knows, he may well be back next year as a 2nd string/reserve
  7. Prob not, but its better to have a rider that can score between 5 and 9 most of the time.
  8. SO will Taylor be number 1? OR Rohan? Let's hope that faith has been shown to Lanham and he can really start scoring like we know he can, and Morten at reserve:
  9. Agree, a new asset is the way to go, and would maybe change the look of the team for next season.
  10. An improvement yes but nothing amazijg. If was meant to have invested in new machines this year. He started ok for a few meetings but just like last season is going backwards again. I'm sure he was good at this level for a few years, but that was then, and this is now, and last night even conference league riders were leaving him for dead
  11. Someone said on here somewhere, ok so I didn't hear it from him, but he will be as much as a joke as Lanham at 1.
  12. But he deserved to be replaced, do Doolan's bikes always go slow in the summer just like last year? A rider of his experience and supposed ability shouldn't be riding like that. Maybe this is his true ability and he just rode well at big tracks like Lynn and workington? And if he was over the front of the bike he wasn't suffering with spinning then, where you have too much power. In the year and half he has been with us, I've only ever seen him have 3 or 4 really good top notch performances. And he doesn't want to ride at 1 either? If that's the case, he should pack his bags and find another job.
  13. OK so Doolan went out after meeting, but he just rode round on same line, surely it would be a good time to try set ups for different parts of track or at least explore the track a bit more.
  14. IS it really going to make much difference? Maybe Leigh may score a couple more, but I don't see Kevin doing any better than Leigh was. It must be close between Morten dropping to reserve and Matt moving back up?
  15. That's the thing, its not up to us to do something or mention the things that could be done, you are right its not our job. The only thing we can do is choose to support the team or not, and going by some of the crowds, It's gradually turning into not. Obviously Morris was available, but not for us as a Thursday club, and I guess there isn't any other riders available that would fit, that don't already ride on a Thursday. I think we are stuck with what we have. Still, there is always next year.
  16. Well with only 3 heat winners last night and 4 on Thursday and I think only 4 or 5 again a fortnight before that, I wouldn't have said they were desperate for heat wins. Putting Doolan at 5 does seem the best option although I doubt it would improve his form but might help in getting 3.3's by filling in 2nd and 3rd's. I would also give Lanham and north pairing a go, ok so that leaves Morten and Rohan at 3 and 4. Maybe that would make Morten give a bit more.
