Plymouth V Witches Lc 12 April
Baldyman replied to dontforgetthefueltapsbruv's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Well Rye won there so why can't we. Risager normally scores pretty well here and Ben obviously knows the fastest way round, not sure it will be to Adams liking but he is learning fast so you never know. Will we win or will it be back to earth with a big bump. Can Jari continue his scintillating form and score another point? Who knows. -
Must admit I was wrong but not about Jari. He was practicing on his own after meeting and still looked very very slow. Doyle is awesome round our track, I wonder if he became our numbers 1 that we could somehow ruin him too. The rebels riders certainly had troubles staying on their bikes, well some did anyway. Happy to win but a strange meeting early on with 5 1 for fun.

Somerset Vs Ipswich Pl 5/4/13 7:30
Baldyman replied to RebelRebel's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
What I don't ever understand is why the majority of none wearing rose tinted glasses fans can tell that the team isn't exactly great, those that put it together think some of the riders are good enough, when we clearly knew they are not. Where some teams like Somerset always seem to somehow put together some very good teams year after year. -

Changes? Seriously? This is Ipswich lol. Yes changes will be made, but as always too late when no chance of winning anything. Having said all that let's not forget that Somerset have a very good team and look good again like the last few seasons, title contenders. -

To be honest I don't think we will get a point, I was just trying to be positive. We know it's a racers track that Morten will score very few on and jari will probably score very few on if any, but as you know you can't say anything that you really think without people jumping on your posts. -

This early in the season and without the rebels new riders having settled in and found the best set ups, I think could be a good time to visit Somerset. Cam has started well and I see no reason why that shouldn't carry and track will suit Adam far better than Rye would have. Can Leighs fitness last 4 laps as again at Rye was slowing after a couple of laps. A racers track so should suit Ben and ya never know, maybe Morten may get his back wheel in it. Even with jari not on the pace yet we may just scrape a point. Though I would try and be positive. -
Ipswich Vs Rye House March 29th 2.30pm

I know it's only first meeting, but that was pretty poor, all the riders I expected to poor were, that's all I'm going to say until I see what happens Monday -
They haven't used total loss engines for for over 20 years, and there is nothing stopping anyone maybe adding a binding agent maybe a little oil if the track drainage goes into underground tanks. I think its also different shale used these days or a different mix. Shale isn't cheap these days. I think Scunthorpe use a different Shale to most.

Indoor Meeting 27th December,arena Uk,
Baldyman replied to ica's topic in Grasstrack, Sidecar, Short Track and Cycle Speedway
They can obviously afford to have people not turn up, like you I looked on website and it only mentioned advanced tickets, I also phoned the number but no answer on that either. I wasn't going to drive 140 miles there to find I could not get in. IT'S a bit silly advertising on here if its not going to checked or updated. -

Can you pay on the day? -
With the wage cap, why would cook want to travel all the way to ipswich every week from his home base? Having said that, with the make up of our team, a second top heat leader was probably never in cl thoughts. He seems to think we have a winning team, and its only his choice of how the team is put together. If we start losing and the crowds drop even more, that's his problem to try and sort out. Plus he thinks Morten will be challenging for the number one jacket so obviously we will have a riders in our team with a near 10 average. Although cl must be the only person in speedway that thinks that is going to happen.

Well done to the diamonds they rode the track very well and didn't fall off for the fun of it. I See some are still trying to make excuses for the crowd but like most of our riders performances it was yet again pathetic for what the occasion was. SOme poor performances again from the so called pencilled in for next year, worrying times ahead and I would imagine a lot of head shaking over the winter.
-
I didn't say they did loose it for us, it just makes their scores look a little better than they are. Although both of those riders are not the most exciting to watch, I hope they are both in next seasons team. Louis mentioned looking at Matt again for next year, for me he would be one of the last of this years team to be looking at. Stefan isn't looking so appealing now either, but he has a few hard crashes recently, and I dare say his machinery has taken a battering, but his last few appearances haven't been great to be honest. Aljack they can't score 30 as they race together 3 times so only 1 of them can win.
