  1. So has the season ticket price gone up from last season? Purchasing a season ticket saves on the cost of 2 and half meetings. Also just another question, does it cost a lot of money for the club to have its own card machine? As I can't think of anywhere I go these days that doesn't have one
  2. no you haven't missed anything as you well know, i am just being disappointed in advance. As we already know no Leigh and maybe no Adam. short sighted? Ipswich? Never. Unfortunately the future of the sport is out weighed by the here and now.
  3. Well don't come on here then, simple, or maybe you just are.
  4. They do, but they will always go where the best deal is offered. But the problem with speedway is, is that there is no incentive to do well or win, apart from more fans disappearing, if you got money for winning league or finishing in top 6 or something then it would be different. I can't think of any other sport where there is no incentive to finish as high as possible. Even i race for money, the better I do the more I get.
  5. So we could have had Leigh and Adam instead of morten and what's left? Surely that would have been a no brainer, or we could maybe have Smith instead of morten and Lambert instead of Adam. I just get the feeling we could have had a better team than what we will have ended up with
  6. He would be a 5 wouldn't he? So if it's Ritchie rohan Cameron morten gino and Ritchie, how much does that leave for our final reserve?
  7. I didn't think they done British reduction in the premier? Or have they suddenly brought that back
  8. On a different note, I see Manzares won a meeting in Australia, beating rohan and Doyle in the final, yes it was on a small track, but beat some good riders
  9. Nothing wrong with Workington fans, made me very welcome when I visited this year
  10. Maybe I am but that's the way I see it, with him nothing, without him plenty of silverware.
  11. This is what I don't get, why is morten nailed on? It was him that caused the problems last year and Louis has said he will make changes to not let it happen again, or was it Barker and Leigh that were the problem? I will predict this now, with morten in the team we will yet again win nothing.
  12. Add to that, get shot cos he ain't getting any better or ain't gonna get any better. I would rather have someone on a lower average that's gonna improve. So will we get his brother too?
  13. Wasn't it morten that was meant to be causing the problems?
  14. I am very hard to please, as already pointed out, but I would be extremely happy with Ritchie just as I was with Barker last season. It would be a great start to team building, but it's not how you start, it's how you finish.
  15. but Leigh isn't nearly family. Let's be honest, if morten is still in the team its probably for only one reason as aljack used to say
  16. Smith does fit along with rohan cam and a number 1, just look at my team 4 or 5 pages back yes he does fit, basically replaces morten
  17. So Adam is after a team place and now Leigh, and with a new number 1 that's 3 changes. Looks like my worst nightmare that morten may be staying. As for the number 1, please don't let it be Allen. Lawson has left Workington and Ritchie Newcastle, so it could possibly be one of those, please don't let it be lawson. for me Wells would be best bet, please not Kevin, won't Rohan be our second heat leader?
  18. It's still going to be tough next season, unless Cameron can stick another 2 points on his starting average, which would see him nearly a 9 point rider. No doubting he will improve again, but can he improve 2 points? I would imagine next seasons biggest average improver will be Ritchie. What we need next season is not morten who's average will stay the same but another rider who's average will improve.
  19. But you don't put your inconsistent riders at number 5 in the team were they are normally partnered by a reserve, that's asking for heat advantages against, they should be partnered with a more reliable rider, which at one point he was.
  20. No I'm saying it was the amazing improvement in cam that made the team as good as it was, if he hadn't of improved as much as he did, I think the team would have been mid table. We were pipped at the post having led that meeting by 6 twice but certain riders failed to perform like they did many times during the season. And I will say it again, I personally don't think the team was superb, it was made into a very good one by the great season Cameron had. I watched them often enough on enough different tracks to make my opinion. We may have actually finished top if the team riding order was left alone, once morten was moved to 5 we started to fade in meetings. Your opinion it was superb, my opinion it wasn't. That's why I love different opinions, although it does sometime seem we are not allowed to have different opinions.
  21. Didn't we still loose at home to Workington with 6 of them? After that we certainly were not going to win the playoffs anyway. Yes we may have lost one of the cups due to injury. Superb team? I wouldn't have gone that far, although most of the time they were pretty good, well most were anyway. The improvement of cam made that team good. That's just my opinion though and everyone else is entitled to theirs.
  22. Plus we couldn't win anything with those 6 and one of the best heatleaders, so how are we going to win with a less heat leader. I think aljack was right all along saying certain riders are only in the team because of family connections. I can forsee another drop in attendance.
  23. So we have all had a go at team building, but what do people actually think the team will be?
  24. You get no where not taking risks, ask somerset that changed their reserves just before the playoffs.
