  1. It seems to be the same clubs that struggle, so i doubt there has been much investment, and I very much doubt that those clubs will invest again. And with allegedly crowds down everywhere, I don't see anyone investing in anything.
  2. Maybe I just like to disagree with people, but I do see Ipswich winning, but I don't think it will by as many as some are saying, 55- 35
  3. I don't really think anyone has a word with anyone, last season you could hear Adam was using the wrong gearing for the Ipswich track, or a totally flat ignition setting, and at the end of the season he still was, so from that I would imagine that no one really listens or helps. I've also said many times before, why doesn't anyone ever wander around the track or sit in the stand for a couple of races and you can see or hear things are lot better. Trouble is, if you mention anything about a speedway rider or suggest something that may help, you are basically told you know nothing, even though maybe you have done plenty of laps around a track yourself or have worked on many a speedway bike, but because it's just a name on a forum, you know nothing.
  4. He was a roadblock in a couple of heats, as I mentioned in my race analysis on the texts in was doing for the updates site. It was more his bike settings for those races than his obvious talent in would have thought, because in his second race he cleared off into the distance.
  5. I would have said up by a couple of hundreds, plenty of new faces with children. As for the meeting, comfortable win, but there was some good racing in most of the heats. Apart from Hawkins who had a stinker, the rest were pretty good. Special praise to Worrall who had one of his best meetings for a while, and i don't suppose anyone was expecting Owen to get a point, let alone 2.
  6. It should be a comfortable win, but with stead in the team, there should at least be some competitive racing. Maybe the real Worrall may make an appearance for this one, we certainly need him to start getting his act together if we are going to make a good go at the play offs Have a good holiday John, see ya in a couple weeks
  7. Form is good lately, and has a lot to do with Adams and Cameron scoring recently
  8. Well i can safely say, I truly got that wrong, glad I am though. So maybe we are contenders, and how we cope with riding order changes could be the key
  9. I think he needs to try and improve his overtaking ability, that would see him improve vastly., and has racing lines on bigger tracks
  10. Putting Worrall at 5 would be asking for trouble, although if I was in charge of the team, I would do it on a track by track basis, but that's because I would want to give myself the best chance of winning everywhere. His gating should help him a bit, but I only see his average dropping slightly now.
  11. Rohan and not morten, that's a surprise for me, thought morten had been scoring much better. I know Worrall has been very disappointed, and failed a number 1, but his average has dropped to 6.9, that's bad, but good for the team that get him next season, Newcastle maybe? What was his seasons starting average? Looking at our averages, it's hard to believe we have done as well as we have.
  12. We are as bad here as we are at Somerset, but we should do better here because the Sheffield team isn't anywhere near as good as Somerset. And on Saturday we get to give Sheffield a good beating at foxhall
  13. Thank you spin king, I know they are pants there, which is why I won't be going
  14. Ha ha ha like your optimism, but I think I shall stick with my last prediction. Tungate would have been brought up on bigger tracks i guess, but everytime I see him on one, I don't think I've ever seen him ride the best and fastest line, probably not strong enough to hold on.
  15. Mmmmmmm, now Andre won't be there with think I need to adjust my prediction again to 52-38. As for the Scotsman, you have clearly never watched Ipswich on fence scraping tracks like this. Mr fuel taps, depending on who pics us it could be possible, we could possibly beat Berwick on aggregate and maybe even Somerset, as they can be even worse on our track.
  16. So you're saying saying we are not true contenders? Because you haven't gone for the win I am expecting us to be that bad, so maybe I shall improve my prediction to 58-32
  17. Don't think it's gonna matter, massive home win, 62-28
  18. They also sprayed them in wd40 and cut the groves deeper They also sprayed them in wd40 and cut the groves deeper
  19. We are talking about kids being able to watch a so called sport for nothing, not taking part, so can kids go and watch cricket for free? You're right, I didn't think about that
  20. I just don't think it's exciting enough for most of the youth of today. You go to red bull x fighters and events like that, and it's packed with kids, because it's classed as extreme. Speedway is classed along the same lines as train spotters and aircraft spotters according to my 2 nephews I just asked, and I do agree with them in a way, it does look nerdy with people sitting there filling in their programmes and drinking out of their flasks. And young lads go where the good looking girls go. Are there any good looking girls or ladies at speedway? Certainly not where I sit.
  21. Well there isn't anything going on between races, maybe you occasionally get a tune from the 70's, , not much to hold a kids interest.
  22. Not many panthers fans with much to say, maybe they have had enough of this season now.
  23. Do many kids even know that speedway exists? And if they do, what is stopping them going even when it's free? Or are people going to say that their parents wouldn't drop them off, or they don't have push bikes or there are no busses or they couldn't share a taxi? No doubt someone will come up with an excuse why not.
  24. I would imagine morten has easily overtaken Worrall, especially with his score of zero at Rye. Morten deserves to be number 1 this season. Although having morten at 1 is not really going to help at certain tracks, like the one coming up on Thursday. On a different issue, is it right that kids are getting in for nothing, even if not accompanied by an adult? If so why isn't it packed out? If speedway is to continue in this country, it's the youngsters that need to be interested, and pretty clearly they are not.
  25. And let's hope we never have to go to Somerset to win the league.
