  1. What do you class as giving you're all? Morten may give his all white lining it, but that's the wrong line.
  2. I'm gonna start being positive and say we will get the point we need, I can see morten and rohans back wheels kissing the air fence right now as the Somerset riders crawl round they curb.
  3. Maybe that's why it broke then, he should try selettra ignition, far better for small engines, let hope he uses that Friday. After all I've said about us not doing very well this coming Friday, I'm actually going to change my mind and say we will get at least a point. Once every now and then an Ipswich team will win a meeting they are never expected to, for example, at Workington a couple of season ago. This may just may be another one of those meetings, we are due one. Is a point enough for us?
  4. It doesn't matter who is at reserve, we don't have a chance in hell of a point, not with how our current crop of riders race. The only way I could possibly see us getting something, is if the weather has been awful and the track is unraceable, then our superior gating may help us.
  5. Oh I thought it was max dilger, as he mentioned Ipswich in a press release when he signed for the panthers
  6. I guess it all depends on what different people see as a good meeting. I was seeing it from an Ipswich fans point of view, but if I was a neutral, then yes I guess it was a good meeting with a good amount of passing and gutsy riding.
  7. With our lack of top line assets, surely the premier is the place to be, and I think the racing is closer. It's also nice to be in contention for various silverware, which we won't be in the elite.
  8. This is only my opinion and my observations of tungate. The reason I don't see him improving much more and becoming the out and out number 1 and going on to be a top elite league rider or other leagues, is basically his limiting style. It seems he is always leg forward and touching ground nearly all the way round the corner, this really does limit what he can do on a bike, it's not a good style to have for letting the bike run in the dirt and it certainly also hinders you changing line quickly in the bends. Just look at Worrall who is going to become a top rider, his style allows him to run around his opposition entering turns which allows him to run to the dirt, his leg is then back and he is balanced, he can then stay in the dirt or quickly lock up and cut up the inside if he chooses, also a foot dab style allows him to enter a corner nearly at 90 degrees allowing him to pin it to the curb, nearly all the top riders have this style in their armoury. Tungates style mainly allows him to race mid track with not much option line change, which is why he very rarely passes from behind and often gets overtaken when in front.
  9. Yes heeps could do with a season away, but not on his current average, he should easily put 1.5 points on that next season, then you loan him out for a year. I would imagine you may just see him in an elite league team next season too.
  10. Well catch 22 if you look at the Ipswich 2015 thread, you will see I've also put no to tungate for next season, but I am pretty sure we will be in the minority, maybe even the only 2 that post on here anyway. King and Worrall would be my top 2 next season, definitely not tungate and risager.
  11. It would be good if they put on a good performance, and by good performance I mean if they don't keep getting overtaken and do some passing themselves, and then they may only lose by around 10,, which would be a good performance in my eyes. Anything around 20 points or more means they still haven't learnt how to race the track.
  12. The reason we perform badly there, is because of track position, we never ride wide wide enough on the fastest lines, so we get passed and are not on the right line to do any passing, that's why we don't do very well. We don't have enough proper leg back racers.
  13. I do like the way some are talking this up to be a good meeting still. Okay fair enough its not all over yet, and we may still get a result, but for that to happen in think Somerset will have needed to have had 16 engine failures and as long as we had 2 finishers in every race, we would win.
  14. Don't we know it, we will get totally thrashed good and proper next Friday, like we normally do.
  15. Worrall yes please Manzares yes please Heeps yes if he rides like 2013 and on his current average should improve on that. Hawkins yeah why not, alays tries his heart out Ellis yes if he doesn't race for lakeside, which obviously hurts his confidence Tungate, no because I don't think there is any improvement left Risager same as tungate, even though he has had his best season for us, I don't see any improvement. Others to consider Kyle Newman Steen Jensen Steve Boxall Danny king Jason Doyle Ricky Wells David Howe Will add to list when I can think of a few more. What we definitely need to do is change one of our gaters for an out and out racer to do better at the outside line tracks, someone like ostergaard for example.
  16. Also if you ain't racing on the fastest lines, good luck or bad luck ain't gonna make any difference.
  17. It was still going when he rode it back to the pits, and normally with ignition failure it will make a pop and spit a flame out the back. All I and others saw was him overtaken then you could see him shut off, if slowed down then after race had finished he rode it into the pits From that comment I take it you are his mechanic?
  18. he did engine fail at all, he was sitting on the wrong piece of track like he did all night and one went around him and one up the inside at the same time, and instead of sticking his elbows out or fighting it out, he lost his bottle and shut off letting them both past, he then gave up, no engine failure involved there he did engine fail at all, he was sitting on the wrong piece of track like he did all night and one went around him and one up the inside at the same time, and instead of sticking his elbows out or fighting it out, he lost his bottle and shut off letting them both past, he then gave up, no engine failure involved tthere. The only 2 people brave enough to properly race the track was Worrall and Hawkins.
  19. Same old story Ipswich fans, when a couple of the riders needed to stand up and be counted, they politely sat down
