  1. First time I've looked at the elite league teams for months. And got to say, Poole have done it again. The team put together is by far superior to the others.
  2. He would be a top rider but by joining the premier league it will only show his career is only heading in one direction. Down
  3. Seen some of his races on you tube and it looks like he will be good on the bigger shape tracks, but hopefully it won't take too many meetings to get used to our smaller grippy track.
  4. Well if he can't beat a couple of national league riders then we are in trouble. He should at least be good enough for a few points in every meeting. He obviously needs to learn how to get round foxhall better. There are some good number 6 riders next season at some teams.
  5. Oh don't worry, over the years we have had a few riders that spout it but don't deliver it.
  6. Until the elite league brings financial reward for finishing positions like some other sports, i don't see any reason to be in it.
  7. Oops. Yeah put them in now. If they don't get a decent number one they will be lower though.
  8. Glasgow Edinburgh Workington Ipswich Sheffield Berwick Peterborough Scunthorpe Newcastle Plymouth Somerset Rye house Redcar I think all teams look like they could win most home matches, which makes it very hard to predict
  9. I don't know why that keeps happening.
  10. Not only that, he was the absolute master of cut backs. Also very safe and in control. Oh and did I mention a controlled wheelie down nearly every straight. Not only that, he was the absolute master of cut backs. Also very safe and in control. Oh and did I mention a controlled wheelie down nearly every straight. One of the classiest riders I've ever seen.
  11. Thanks people. So just watched a video. So next question is why is it bad for spectator viewing? No raised grand stands? Or poor lighting?
  12. So is it a lakeside style track? Looking at Google earth the track used to be longer as well.
  13. Having not visited Edinburgh, what is it about the track that gives them a good home advantage that often gets mentioned about Edinburgh?
  14. With the shortage of number 1 riders available, it looks like teams need to either pay more and get the teams finalised early. Maybe the panthers will change a couple of riders and go down the more strength in depth route?
  15. A few teams supporters had characters back in the day. There used to be a very loud one from belle vue called soldier boy, or something along those lines
  16. RIP Ruby. A lady well known to all supporters and past and present riders. My deepest condolences to her family and friends.
  17. You can't compare covatti and castagna. Fair enough nico didn't do much at Sheffield but he was a good enough rider to reach the gp challenge final. Castagna is no where near that good. I'm I'm gonna stick to my guns and say I can't see him being anything other than one of the worst reserves in the league. Now maybe if he is given plenty of time to get to grips with the track he may hold his average. I do think we have plenty in the top 5 though to pick up away points which will see us take one of the play off places.
  18. I would say our top 5 looks to be one of the best, but our reserves look to be one of the worst. Glasgow look clear favourites so far to me, but after that it's anybody's. So it's a case of can our top 5 out score the others to counter act what we lose out at reserve.
  19. So if Australians are now a 5 again, is that going to be the same for Americans?
  20. Who ever the last rider is, that team is gonna take some stuffings away.
