  1. The qualification for a rider on an assessed average to obtain a real average is 4 home/4 away. Having ridden in 6 away meetings, Pontus' 4th home meeting was the Leicester match. The new average takes effect after 7 days. According to the Rockets' site, his GSA will be 7.09, making him 3rd heat leader.
  2. Josh Grajczonek now guesting at no. 1 as Olli's arm has swollen up overnight.
  3. ...or maybe not. Well done to Workington and let's hope the Rockets start off at Glasgow the way they ended tonight, 11-7 in the last 3 heats.
  4. Hammer, meet nail head... ...and it appears to be the case on far too many threads on the forum.
  5. It'd be unfair to send all our triers at once but you're getting the 6 available tonight, all worth watching. '8th Rocket' Grajczonek and fellow guest Hopwood may be less spectacular than those they replace but there are times when less is more as an alternative to Kamikaze style, especially on away tracks..
  6. Can't gate but sometimes does. Can chase, harass and pass but often doesn't. I still think that, at his age, he has potential but he's far too inconsistent. When he's got his passing boots on he's a rider I wouldn't want to be trying to hold off and I can see him getting a 'dirty rider' reputation with opposition supporters, such is his tenacity at times.
  7. Hopefully, having a 7 ride ringer at reserve will offset Ben Hopwood having to ride in the 2-5.
  8. Thanks for the update. With the Sheffield match having started only 19 hours ago any information you can pass on is invaluable. Please keep us posted with the latest news on the subject. Apologies to Backless if I've muscled in on your territory.
  9. Simon Lambert suffered cuts and bruises last night and won't be fit for tonight's match. Ben Morley rides in his place. http://ryehouserocke....php?extend.634
  10. From the ITV4 schedule; Motorbike Show (ITV Series 4), Episode 6 Wednesday 17th July on ITV4 from 9:00pm to 10:00pm In the last programme, Henry Cole came off his bike during motocross and broke his shoulder so he teams up with a one-legged rider to enter the classic bike Banbury Run. Henry decides to send Pete The Restorer to take his place learning Speedway, and at last the restored Triumph Bonneville is due to be unveiled - provided the engine gets fixed.
  11. In a similar vein to the current team not being the Sittingbourne Raiders? I realise that the recent history of the co-promoter, team manager and four riders is purely coincidental.
  12. Robert Lambert signing for the Young Stars adds some spice to this one.
  13. Another one that's sneaked in unannounced is that a match result can now be declared after 10 heats instead of 12.
  14. Press & Practice is on Tuesday 26th March @ 11. http://ryehouserockets.co/news.php?extend.504
  15. I must have imagined his match winning 15+1 from 6 at Rye House then...
  16. his "race jacket" is actually an integral part of his kevlars and the colour changed from an almost fluorescent yellow to the current greeny yellow colour fairly early in the season.
  17. Owlerton Fan Plan http://www.thestar.c...-plan-1-5183048
  18. The official line from last week's SS track review; "The problem was the Border Agency moved from their headquarters to Manila in the Philippines", he [Len] said. "So you had people there making decisions on people's livelihoods and going strictly by the book. Previously, when it was in Australia, riders could sit across the table from an official and sort things out but you can't do that, now things get rejected and you don't even know your application has been rejected." Won't hold my breath and wouldn't be too surprised if R/R made an appearance as early as press & practice day.
  19. You don't read the forum then? Because the commercial rights holder, Gospeed, says so.
  20. Didn't notice that. Restated on the email, restaged on the BSPA site version.
  21. Email from Rye House; Rye House versus Sheffield - OFF Following torrential rain today which has left the Hoddesdon circuit under water, and with further showers forecast tomorrow afternoon, the early decision has been taken to call off tomorrow's meetIng at Rye House. The match will not be restaged. Instead the Rockets will qualify directly for the Challenge Trophy Final and will wait to see on Sunday who they will meet, and therefore also whether their home leg is next Saturday or Sunday.
