  1. Kennett, Boxall & Greenwood + 4 cheap riders. Bowen to retire, although if next season is the last, may be persuaded to delay it. Bunyan to move on after giving up on arguing about track preparation.
  2. After the last cock up, probably took time to double and triple check with everyone.
  3. Now rescheduled for next Saturday, the 23rd, as the first half of a double header with Newcastle.
  4. A quarter of a mile away I can confirm 'cloudy' and getting cloudier but still fairly bright.
  5. Asked for by Berwick, but got to be better than a 2 o'clock start.
  6. Lay off Stan Armyblanco, he's doing a great job...
  7. Any more info on the 'special' nature of that meeting please, as I may be within range and at a loose end on that day?
  8. Based on MM's figures above, overall averages for all riders. Layne Cupitt currently holds the record for having ridden for 8 of the 10 teams, closely followed by Sam Darroch on 7. 9. A BSPA backed, well sponsored, 6 round, 4 class, 40-odd rider Under 15 Championship series with 500 people at the Eastbourne round would suggest things aren't quite that bad.
  10. Very true, but we know none of those fingers will be of the Silver/Sampford variety. After all, they're all trying hard/carrying injuries/having mechanical problems/any other excuse you can think of...
  11. The NL(14/09) and EL(22/09) cut off dates are named in the regulations, but not the PL for some reason. The first "Res PO" date in the BSPA fixture list is on the 7th at Newcastle.
  12. No need, but if he doesn't, and this is speedway regulations we're talking about so all bets are off, then the rule makers need to apologise for mangling the language.
  13. Go to 078.1.2 and you'll see that the tournament starts with Event 1 Practice, at which point 078.3.4 kicks in and the 30 minute clock starts.
  14. I've read the rules and know that that rule applies to all 4 rounds. That's why the appropriate sentence begins with "Once the SWC Final Tournament has started...".
  15. So, a Finnish Swede who isn't remotely Italo-Argentinian as the "I know something you don't" crowd would have had us believe.
  16. The cut off date is in the Regs, the play off dates aren't.
  17. Jon Cook didn't have to agree to the cancellation and if you'd quoted 16.1.2 in full it would show that, with typical speedway regulation ambiguity, there is provision made for promoters not agreeing a restaging date.
  18. The cut off date is the 22nd September.
