  1. Because of his NL status he has to enter the PL on a 3 point average unless there's an unprecedented change in the rules.
  2. The list has already been agreed but there is no guarantee that it will be made public.
  3. It's a badly worded article with some confusing and contradictory statements, but this is what I make of it. Nominations for the BSPA MC closed on 13th October and the BSPA issued a memo confirming Buster Chapman, Rob Godfrey and Neil Machin as the only candidates. Because they couldn't vote until the November 3rd meeting it was decide at the AGM that further nominations could be taken before then. There was evidently "uproar" at a claim that the previous memo was in error. Several promoters have since contacted Speedway Star claiming there to be an anti-Buster campaign, one even claiming that a BSPA employee told Buster he had no right applying for the chairmanship without informing them first. These promoters all want to remain anonymous and appear to be ready to support Buster.
  4. Ridiculous statements. Tatum doesn't comment on my, or many others', particular track. The 5 heat bedding in situation occurs usually when a track is, for whatever reason, over watered. Your "Heat 1 everywhere" statement is just a lie. As you so humorously imply, the laws of physics and chemistry do apply to speedway tracks in the form of wind, rain, temperature and so on which, amazingly, aren't exactly the same for every meeting.
  5. RT @RaceOfChampions: Follow & RT this to WIN 2 #ROCLondon tickets! Or make sure to get your tickets while you can https://t.co/SpuaiZQoAY h…

  6. A guest or R/R for FIM championship meetings, but not practice, and an NL guest for anything else.
  7. NL riders automatically move into the PL on a 3 point average. Under 25 PL riders with an average of 4 or less are eligible to ride in the NL. They are in the current 'grey area' until we know more details of the rule.
  8. It's at the end of November. The 3rd is the 2nd part of the EL/PL AGM when they can vote on the new rules & MC membership. Edit: It's actually going to be December 2nd.
  9. Well with Kennett likely to have more input into the team than before I guess Barker's out of the picture.
  10. Replaced by the other reserve in his last two rides but not in the 'protected' heat 4 I would guess.
  11. That's the one. Also, if the original rider is dropped, he can only be replaced by another NL eligible rider.
  12. I'm sure to a team 11+ points over the limit reducing their team total by a whole point is really important...
  13. It may not even be published then. In Speedway Star CVS was asked by Paul Burbidge if they were publishing the list. His answer was: "I couldn't answer that at the moment. We conclude the AGM on November 3rd and maybe I can raise that question. I couldn't give you an answer yes or no."
  14. I'm sure that any reference to buying the stadium is just shorthand for buying the lease.
  15. If you re-read Len's words you'll see that he was buying the long term lease ending in 2035. I believe the stadium is actually owned by the Lee Valley Park Authority. In their park plan proposals of 2000, the year that Len bought the lease, they said that the Stadium was in a poor state and had a poor impact on the surrounding park amenities and needed substantial improvement, so possibly a term of the lease.
  16. Possibly 60% of his 2014 4.67 which is 2.8, so 3.
  17. It's what happens when you sell the majority share in a business and then expect to have the major say in running it.
  18. The first four to select in round 2 can.
  19. It's here, but only gives the same quotes as elsewhere; http://www.hertfordshiremercury.co.uk/promoter-Len-Silver-leaves-Rye-House-Rockets-16/story-28021018-detail/story.html Whereas, in Speedway Star Len is quoted as saying; "I've been so unhappy this year with everything at Rye House. I'm not going to enlarge on it but, suffice to say, I wasn't happy working there so I'm not unhappy to walk away. I want to keep it simple for now as I don't want to air dirty linen in public. I'm unhappy to to lose those friends I have made at Rye House, people who worked with me, helped me and were good allies over the years. I'm sorry to be walking away from them but I'm not sorry to be walking away from Rye House as such."
  20. I assumed the same, but they are using a draft. There isn't a direct quote on this from CVS but Paul Burbidge's exact words are: "There will be 12 riders in the tier one draft, with the four not selected eligible to be chosen when the tier two picks are made, ensuring the best Fast Track stars are given every chance of getting a job".
  21. I agree, it's wrong in principle, like riders dropping below their assessed figure. The promoters claim to be listening to supporters more but that's something they seem not to want to deal with. I must admit though, I do like to see a good 7 ride ringer at reserve.
  22. His average is his average and qualifying through a championship has no effect on that.
