  1. 19.8,1 Riders new to National League racing will be given an assessed MA of 3.00 19.8.1.1 Riders qualifying by UK Patriality will be given an assessed MA of 5.00 19.9.2.5 All riders must hold a UK Passport or have UK Patriality.
  2. As I keep having to explain, under the current regulations he is a New Zealander with patriality as allowed in the regulations. Also, under the current regulations, any NL rider moving into the NL for the first time does so on a 3 point average. If they've changed the regulations for next season then so be it, but if they've just picked out BWD because he's a bit good then it's totally unfair. The only riders in the past that have gone from NL to PL on a 5 point average were Aussies without patriality when they were allowed in the NL, like Darcy Ward. Under the current regs riders like Aaron Summers, Dakota North, Nick Morris, Todd Kurtz, Cam Heeps started in the PL as 3s.
  3. It wasn't for Brits only, riders with patriality were specifically allowed. In the past, when Commonwealth riders were allowed they went into the PL with a 5 point assessed average but those with patriality were still assessed as 3 pointers.
  4. Next season's averages will be calculated every 4 matches for all riders.
  5. You mean; 1 Pugh 2 Pugh 3 Barney McGrew 4 Cuthbert 5 Dibble 6 Grubb 7 3pt NL rider
  6. He's been awarded a testimonial but doesn't know whether he'll ride in it.
  7. With the points left to fill it looks to me like they could still be haggling with Rob Branford and the Lamberts.
  8. A classic wind-up as he's confirmed as signing in Speedway Star.
  9. If that was the case, the Poole reserves would be Davy Watt and Dakota North.
  10. They didn't "let him in" he was fully entitled, as per the regulations, to enter the NL on a 5 point average. Once in the NL, he can only move into the PL on a 3 point average unless they change the rules. The 7 point average is for Commonwealth riders new to British Speedway, which he isn't.
  11. I thought it was established way back that he had patriality.
  12. It was never intended to be made public.
  13. Guaranteed. Hope it wasn't our promotions decision and it's just a Danish thing, although Kasper Lykke is one of his best mates so it's odd.
  14. It is, and therefore specifies the only type of riders that will be moving from NL to PL.
  15. Past practice shows that Cat 3a refers to non-Commonwealth riders not having ridden in a foreign professional league. Cam Heeps and Todd Kurtz are past examples of riders with patriality or dual nationality (I've lost track of which!) entering the PL from the NL on a 3. 19.9.2.5 refers to British passports and patriality. of course this is all speculation and may be redundant if they change or clarify the rules on December 2nd.

  17. Good news for next year with an expansion to 8 rounds and three new venues, although that means one of this years tracks is dropping out. http://www.speedwaygb.co/news.php?extend.29775
  18. The final issue date should be 3/11 not 3/10.
  19. We might even get a team that uses all the available points.
  20. Some 2016 discussion was going on here; http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=79751&page=9
  21. Rye House, Belle Vue, Scunthorpe, Leicester, Somerset, Glasgow, King's Lynn, Redcar, Buxton, Eastbourne. Edit: ...and Kent.
