Cradley supporters, at their "meet the riders" event tonight, have been told that both Friday & Monday meetings are off.

...especially on the pro-Belle Vue side.

No speakers (or seats) in the PermaTemp stand was a bit of a (temporary) pain but at least we've got lights in there now.

The development leagues are included in the full SCB regulations & the BSPA hold the rights to the use of club names.

...but the rule on no facility for a rider that hasn't appeared yet applies to all 3 leagues.

...with the MDL teams having to buy them from their parents who will have spent a fortune on their development already.

Rob won't be over until mid-April after his sister's wedding.

Not clearly enough to avoid an argument, of course, but that's the way I interpret the intention.

An EDR in the 1-5 is still an EDR not a double up rider.

Only the main stand and the 4 small pop-up stands on the back straight at the moment. The "temp stand" has been re-shelled with a permanent metal construction. The original terracing is still there but the seats have been removed and unlikely to be ready for the weekend. They were working frantically on the lighting and sound system in there today and also fitting and painting wood panelling. There is a space next to the stand where the toilet block used to be and there will probably be one of the two large pop-up stands in there for Saturday.

If they're on the ball, they'll have some there on Wednesday. I'm glad we've now got a proper Wallace & Gromit style rocket logo rather than something you'd wan't posted in a plain wrapper. Not so keen on the Raiders one though, I'd like to know who modelled for that.

From Peter Schroeck in this week's Speedway Star; "We have re-shaped the track, there's a brand new safety fence, there's going to be brand new pits, a brand new grandstand, that's nearly done now. Everything is tarmaced, you can walk around without getting your shoes covered in mud and even the fence has been built to FIM standards so if anything comes along we can put our hand up. Warren's spending a lot of money and you will see a lot done for the first meeting but there's more to be done over time." Obviously a recipe for closing down at the end of the season...

He did an under the counter deal with Bydgoszcz in 2013 that his money wouldn't be reduced if his average dropped. They didn't stick to that so he took them to a PZM tribunal which ruled in the club's favour as it was an illegal deal, although they did rule that he was owed 8,000PLN.

You were questioning the existence of a squad system, there is a squad system. 10 riders are allowed but not mandatory and, as you've been told before, the Lakeside website is surprisingly informative on the current Lakeside situation.
