The clincher is that Starman says the track is OK so it must be off. -
There's no restriction on reserves in heat 15. It's the team's top 3 by average and the 3 top scorers from programmed rides.

On the pre-season list, the riders were assessed at 60% of their PL average. -
Belle Vue -v Wolves 25-03-16 Good Fiday

Quite right. They said the meeting was off, whereas in fact the meeting is off. How could they have got it so wrong? Oh, and to defuse a possible retort, rather than waiting for the Belle Vue promotion to postpone, the unusual circumstances meant that the meeting was always off until such time as they decided it was on. -
Well we will find out because he's just been named as the guest on the Rye House website.
-
They can and some do, although too many hide behind the "no refunds" rules. Even "your" solution, as currently worded, isn't foolproof.
-
Wajtknecht is better than his NLRC performance and the track has changed since then. I'm not saying he's necessarily the best option but he'll already be there and have had 3 or 4 races practice, whereas those you name will be busy with their own teams elsewhere as will other top riders with Belle Vue, Cradley, Eastbourne, Kent, Coventry & King's Lynn all riding on Monday.

Speak to him when he comes to Belle Vue on Monday. Oh, hang on a minute... -

Would we believe them if they did? -
Peter Schroeck says it will probably be a guest & R/R. Zach Wajtknecht will already be there and be well warmed up. Hunter has a wrist injury which he's having treated by Brian Simpson which should speed up the healing process.
-
He's out for 4-6 weeks.
-
No idea about the Perks breakdown but George was there anyway. He's the Rockets #8 and would have got laps after the meeting under normal circumstances.
-
Indeed. It seems that Huckenbeck is the official #8 but being used full time, except for the occasional replacement by "full time" 1-5 member NBJ. Confused? It'd be rude not to be.
-
The facts would suggest otherwise. Huckenbeck has never been declared in another team and has a 4 point assessed average. NBJ is an established PL rider with a season's experience, is currently declared in a PL team and has an assessed average of 4.16 converted from his PL figure.

According to the BSPA site the Southern group is quite competitive as it is with all 3 teams on 3 points. Somerset must have ridden well this afternoon because earlier in the day it was only Rye House & Plymouth that had points.

Rye House Vs Plymouth Sat 19th March 7pm

...and poor George Hunter has an injury riding for a team that doesn't exist in a match that didn't happen. But hang on, according to the BSPA site, our LC group is getting quite competitive... I always thought that was the case although it was never specified as such.
-
They big problem with this situation is that they did make it to the start of the season with all the complications that that has brought. No problem as long as the new promoter has, or applies for, the correct sponsor licence.
-
Some weeks ago that was somebody's opinion based on hearsay. We now have the actual regulation which says; "a # 8, being a non-ACU licensed rider assessed at 4.00 who has not been included in any previous Team Declaration." That's any team, not any EL team. Doubling-up riders are dealt with in a separate part of the regulation and refers to PL CMAs which the #8 section doesn't. Going on the literal interpretation, NBJ can only be a doubling-up rider.

Scunthorpe Scorpions 2016?
Alan_Jones replied to Paul Johnson's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I'm sure the riders would like to find employment as soon as possible, the promoters have cut their own throats and, unless they're seriously loaded, it's too late for the supporters to do much about it so, brutal as it may sound, the rest of the speedway world has to stagger on. -
"...not been included in any previous Team Declaration" is the wording which is true to the traditional vagueness of the Regs. Any EL team or_any_ team?
-
3 doubling up riders are allowed with 2 sharing 1 position. Poole could use Holder on his own if they wanted to.
-
Has to be a non-ACU licence holder.
