  1. Where do you place the small charge and how is it detonated?
  2. I think we now have all the proof we need that Red Panda and Starman are one and the same...
  3. When Speedway Star did an article on rider & promotion costs in November 2014 they came up with some figures for fixed stadium/match costs of just over £2000 which didn't include the very variable figure for stadium rent. For a PL meeting they were advised that £4500 was a reasonable figure for riders pay which didn't include travel money which would have to be paid for home & away meetings.
  4. Whoops! Must have done a Dave Dowling then. Must admit, I was more concerned with what was happening with Harry McGurk.

  6. "Outgoing" as in removed from the previous declaration by some crazy rule that says you can only have 7 riders in a team. Nothing sinister at all.

  9. Kyle Bickley? He tweeted a clip yesterday of some laps he did on Wednesday on a 500. The track looked very good.
  10. Looks to me like they're waiting for the kids to try it out at the BYC 2nd round. Kyle Bickley's already done some laps on a 500.
  11. Had the fish at the first meeting and it was certainly better than recent times though maybe not quite as good as the early days.
  12. Marc seemed happy enough spannering for BWD on Sunday. It'll all get sorted out after the 18th...
  13. 2 tracks, 37 riders, 76 races... http://www.younglionsspeedway.co.uk/big-weekend-of-british-youth-speedway-ahead/
  14. As I understand it, Ben Hopwood is on a short term contract until Robert arrives. I'm probably not typical but I'd rather have the current make up of the team than filling it with career NL riders. Last night's meeting had a good example of why. Despite the fact that he was one of the ones that got away, Danyon Hume was really impressive and yet, this time last year, he was one of the riders at the back struggling to stay on the bike.
  15. After 2 or 3 failed attempts to get to the Island, for various reasons, I finally made it into the Stadium to watch the rain fall. I hope to get there this year and actually see some speedway.
  16. Depends on what you mean by "not the common tourist stuff". One of my trips down Somerset/Plymouth way this year will take in the Forshaw Speedway Collection at the Haynes Motor Museum at Sparkford and the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton.
  17. You, of all people, know the problems with BT phone & broadband...
  18. Ben Morley will be at #1, Ben Hopwood is a signing not a guest. It still won't be pretty though...
