  1. 17.4.2 says a re-declared team must include 2 EDRs. The supplementary rule that appears on the EDR list says that Tier 1s can be replaced by anyone lower on the list or a British PL rider with a lower PL average and no EL 1-5 place. After Robbogate the MC added an EL average to the restrictions. To me, all that means that an EDR is always an EDR and if you're not an EDR you're a "1-5" irrespective of actual riding position, which the team line up rules only refer to by MA. Note to the BSPA: Adding a rule to a rule added to the rule in the rule book probably isn't the best way to do things.
  2. EDRs can only be replaced from the EDR list or, additionally for Tier 1, a British PL rider without an EL average.
  3. ...but EDRs are still EDRs even when they're in the 1-5 aren't they? So are 1-5 riders still 1-5 riders even when they're at reserve? My guess is yes ... or no ... or...
  4. Steve Boxall doesn't currently have an ACU licence or SCB registration so probably not really bothered.
  5. Me too, but I'm moving on to a couple of days at the Donington Park Historic meeting & that won't get rained off.
  6. Get it right, rider safety is paramount unless Poole need points.
  7. Must be me then. I came up in 2014 to stay within walking distance of the stadium and it started raining just after I arrived and didn't stop. I'm just about to leave and I'll be staying at the same place...
  8. You're not getting it are you? No strokes were pulled, the Robson booking was strictly by the book. The MC then made up a new rule to counter the perfectly legal unintended consequence of a 39 year old rider guesting for an EDR.
  9. You can once you've read "Tier 1 EDR who are missing can be replaced by any rider on the EDR List that is below them or any PL British Rider that has a lower PL Average than the missing rider, apart from any PL rider that is declared in an EL 1-5" The good thing is that they've made up a new rule to redress a ridiculous situation which they need to keep using. The bad thing is they've added a rule to a rule added to the original rule which all contradict themselves and other rules.
  10. Before people start gloating too much, Robson guesting for Newman was fully within the main & supplementary Regs. What I hope happened is that someone at the top table saw how ridiculous that was and they've added an extra restriction to stop the move.
  11. As someone who bangs on about people's need to apologise all the time, please re-read the relevant posts, try and understand what's being said and come back when you're done.
  12. As SCB says, Newman's brief move is irrelevant. When Ellis moves up, Newman drops back down because the #7 always has to be an EDR.
  13. 16 miles from Walthamstow to Rye House. About 45mins on the bike or about an hour by train. Arena-Essex is the same distance but doesn't appeal as much as it used to in the 80s & 90s when I was a regular there travelling from Barking. Happy to visit any track, apart from Poole, if it fits in with other travel plans. Did a thousand mile weekend to take in the youth round at Glasgow but sometimes it's cheaper by public transport as is this week's trip to Sheffield and Donington Park and "home" in time for Monday's double header.
  14. His advisory role with Mildenhall is obviously more important to him than the league sponsorship.
  15. The Regs say the EDR lists will have a list of eligible guests. The last published EDR list had the additional rule about PL guests which, in effect, is an addition to the list so no problem. Silly idea, but not illegal.
  16. I haven't seen any of the BV apologists being objective and anything that brings TWK back to the forum is a very very bad thing.
  17. I thought "Stadium McStadiumface" had won.
  18. There isn't one, at least not one that the great unwashed are allowed to see.
