  1. You haven't heard of the Back of Beyondits?
  2. The trouble is, a win tonight means a one off trip to the back of beyond.
  3. It's possible for teams to come to an agreement between themselves as to which team they ride for.
  4. The Speedway Regulations 19. NATIONAL LEAGUE MEETING REGULATIONS Known as the National League, its official name is the National Development League to clarify that this is the entry level league dedicated to the training and development of young home grown riders. AFAIK it's been that way since the inception of the league.
  5. The MCN Festival is on for 2 days and using the track for over 3 hours a day. It was never going to be on.
  6. It wasn't "ultra" slick, that was last Monday.
  7. The National League is rarely considered in the great scheme of things so I doubt that the same conditions apply.
  8. There isn't a 30 mile rule either but it's caused a lot of grief over the years.
  9. Scunthorpe are aiming to be the first team with 7 riders on a 3 point average.
  10. Even if it was in English that wouldn't make any more sense than your previous post.
  11. The very person? You don't understand the concepts of spokesmen, a committee and a rule book, however secret, do you?
  12. True, and thinking about it, we should be better off with George getting one of his rides and Macauley Leek should get 2.
  13. It's in the promoters hand book, which we're not worthy of seeing, along with things like the 30 mile rule.
  14. After the visa kerfuffle they're treating those returning after previously failing to qualify as new starters.
  15. I think it might be close. I'm looking forward to seeing Bewley but I'm not expecting a match winning performance from him. Our place is a totally different proposition to the wide open spaces of Belle Vue, in the PL he's finding Armadale trickier than the away tracks. If Robert's fully fit I can see him and Ben saving the day in heats 13 and 15. Using R/R for Harvie Banks could be a problem though.
  16. This season EL teams are allowed, in addition to the basic 7 riders, the new foreign 4 point #8 that can replace anyone in the 1-5 at any time, an extra doubling up rider in a shared position and an extra Tier 2 EDR.
  17. As we've come to expect, yet another rule that's sloppily written and, if taken literally, doesn't say what they intended it to mean. 18.6 RIDERS MATCH AVERAGES (see Art 16.2 for Definitions) and GRADINGS 18.6.1 Riders new to Premier League racing are categorised as follows: Cat 1: Riders with an end of the previous seasons published average in the Danish Speedway League, Polish Ekstraliga or Swedish Elitserien of above 6.00 points including riders subject to a Certificate of Sponsorship. Cat 2: Riders with an end of the previous seasons published average in the Danish Speedway League, Polish Ekstraliga or Swedish Elitserien of 6.00 and below plus ALL other riders riding currently in any Professional Speedway League, Cat 3: Riders not riding in a Professional League (ie.Denmark, Poland & Sweden) Cat 4: Riders who are eligible to ride in the National Development League. 18.6.2 The Assessed MA's for new Riders to the PL racing is: Cat 1 8.00 Cat 2 7.00 Cat 3 5.00 Cat 4 3.00 18.6.2.1 No rider with an Assessed MA, other than the Category 4 rider, can drop below 5.00 at any time during the Season. 18.6.3 Where a rider has a PL Established MA from the previous season, then this MA is used. 18.6.4 If a rider has only an EL Established MA from the previous season, which must not exceed 6.00, then a conversion is necessary; the EL MA is multiplied by 1.4. The first thing that leaps out to me is that 18.6.2.1 begins "No rider" not "No new rider" but it appears that the subtle clue to the intended meaning is that 18.6.2.1 is an addition to 18.6.2 I apologise for the geeky nature of this post and, like most people, on Sunday I'll just be watching "4 riders, 4laps etc." but at some stage in the very near future those in charge are going to have to get a grip on this sort of stuff that is killing the sport.
  18. We're in that old familiar situation again, that's not what the regulations actually say.
  19. Looking forward to seeing Dan Bewley on Sunday. Glad it all went well tonight.
  20. The Scunthorpe web site has him with an assessed 7 point average at last month's cut off date but also claim his new average is 3.
  21. In the wording of the much revered regulations they can "own" riders (their quotes).
