I rest my case with the decisions made by the Scunthorpe Promotion & as I said before, 1 change was required but Rome wasn't built in a day. Glasgow next week not an easy test to resolve things but I am still gutted & disappointed.
-
That was the thinking in the team building with Kennedy instead of Clegg. All 3 would be around the 5 point mark(+ or - 0.5) making the changes fluid. They are 2nd string/reserve riders depending how a team is built. Any no2 will score about 5-6 points per meeting riding with Douglas 3 times whereas a no6 has to ride with Palm Toft twice so has the potential to score more, allowing the no 2 & 6 to swap.
-
I meant in the 28 day period he would ride in 6 meetings. I know he has a rolling average of 2 as Poole persevered with him which was strange for Poole.
-
So you are saying that 5 pointers are reserves? What team strength are you building too?

After a league meeting on or before the 23rd day of the month & change on the 1st of the following month. So probably 1st June but will Jonas's go up?
-
He was one that I would have gone for but read on another thread early season that as he had no place, both himself & Broc Nicol have taken their gear back to the States. Max Ruml & even Billy Janniro at his age still doing the business.
-
Is that what Joe was on? Some NDL riders get that & Joe would possibly get that at NDL level too.
-
It says on the Scunthorpe website that Nathan is in on an initial 28 day contract. In that period, he should race 6 meetings, 3H & 3A. As Skidder1 has put the averages up, these will change on the 1st June after taking in the meeting raced at Plymouth, then meetings away at Berwick(Sat) & Glasgow next Friday. All the other meetings are after the cut off point of the 23rd day to change the averages.
-
The rising Star system works but for upcoming riders only & in the Championship. The Premiership should not use it but use a minimum average system of PL 4, converted CL 6.
-
British riders reducing not team average & THAT should be 42 & kept for years. Maybe have a minimum number of British riders per team

Birmingham vs Scunthorpe (KOC) 3/5/23

To be fair to Joe, I spoke to J Edwards after the Scorps v Brum in the BSN meeting & asked why he didn't look for Jake to give him his full maximum. He said that I am out to win races. -

Done it again!!!!!!! -
Unfortunately, I think the decision was made on or before Tuesday. It is why the Brits need a bigger reduction in team building.

No announcement officially yet from Scunthorpe but nice that someone in the know(Dave) has let the cat out of the bag. cheers. Max Clegg sore the bulk of his points at Newcastle last year & struggled away. http://www.gbspeedway.com/2022/riderperf.php?mc1=x&mc2=r&mc3=av&mc4=x&rider=Max Similar in 2021 http://www.gbspeedway.com/2021/riderperf.php?mc1=x&mc2=r&mc3=av&mc4=x&rider=Max

Yes we can up to 75% of Zaine's average which would be 3.20 or sign a J Smith, N Ablitt, J Alcock rider. They could still ride at 6 possibly picking up the points from heat 2 against several 2 point riders, possible RS in heat 8 & pick up points in heat 14. The reserves(guests & Joe) have picked up between 7 & 10 in all their meetings so far. could the 2 newbies do the same or 75% guest + Joe. The latter 2 is my bet. Joe, if released will go to Birmingham, nearer to home.

Unfortunately, I think that the changes have been made & waiting to be ratified. Joes showing's on 2 different types of track shows he was making steps in the right direction. Riding with a rejuvenated MPT this year, especially at home, How many points would Kennedy have got? Guests & Joe have scored 6+ points in every meeting so will the changes do the same? Time will tell. I think it is a knee jerk reaction wanting to get a no6 who can score points but at the detriment of losing Joe who, as I have said, scored the points necessary, was finding his feet & adapting to the higher league. Maybe Rob & co wanted more from him at the EWR but again, as I have said, he did his job. Even Dan T, who I think is the better brother, struggled away from Leicester but that is how they have got their averages & Joe would be learning more from his experience being with the Ipswich guys.

I wasn't sure if French riders were a 4 or 5 with it being a lower league similar to Czech. From my previous post, I have looked at NDL riders & possibly J Smith.
