I was surprised that he, & Dougy, have a 5 week break then I checked the Polish fixture to find free weeks & 2 bye weeks because of the odd number of teams. Signed for 28 days so we will have to find out what Drew, Rob & the Poles want to do next. It might benefit all parties.
-
I hope he brings a Polish engine with him.

Godfrey has always stuck to his beliefs in that ..... "if you want to ride for Scunthorpe, this is what I pay & on time". This is why, I feel that, when we have guests they ride for us & not race for us. I can not remember who said that Drew had asked for a 10k signing on fee or 2 bikes but Rob would not do that, never mind how desperate he is.

Well done to Nathan Ablitt on his 3rd place in the U21's up at Workington.

After the 4 meetings with the 2 new lads, feeling that we should have won at Berwick, got a result at home to Glasgow but lost the away leg & the way we performed on Wednesday, catching Poole a little off & coming away disappointed we did not get a win, I feel now, without Pickering & Cook but they have a specialist in R Worrall, this should be a great chance to get our first away league points. -

It says on the updates that he was a non starter! Failed to turn up as they could only cover 1 ride? -

A difficult start for Max as not riding for anyone else has made him play catch up. Nathans points were scored at no7. The stats don't lie as Max has scored 4 in 15 rides & Nathan 2 in 13 rides from 4 meetings. Take in to account their 1st meeting, to adapt, was away at Berwick followed by 3 meetings against the top 2 sides of which 1 was at home was a difficult baptism of fire. Tonight could be won for the Scorpions if Max can score 6 or 7 & the battle of the reserves. The no6's only face each other in heat 2 so it will be about what they can pick up in the other battles. The 2 no7's is interesting to say the least. It will take a combined team effort, though, so 40+ points would be good again but 46+ points would be better. Here's hoping. UP THE SCORPIONS. -
Sheffield v King’s Lynn - 25th May

I am sure that the new rule brought in by the Poles was that any rearranged meeting(all 3 divisions) takes priority to allow Polish Ekstaliga riders to ride in 3 leagues. -
That is why it is short term contracts. Even an injured rider returning has to wait until the 28 days are up.
-
I have just checked gbspeedway site & last nights results have gone on so had to work it out. 5 riders have 32.45 + Clegg at 5.06 & Ablitt at 2.00 so roughly what we had before the changes.
-
I am sure that I have seen Max Ruml's name in an individual meeting line up in the International section either for last or this weekend so is over in Europe. Even back to Gino?
-
No. League only Tosh.
-
I would not have thought so but just looked at Premiership Table & results shows Ipswich have ridden 3H & 2A & are riding at home tonight. I think I am right in thinking that a new average come 7 days after 3H &3A have been completed but will need to be quick although it is said on other topics, mainly yours or your posters, that Rew was only interested in Premiership even though our league is the smallest it has been for years. I am unsure whether both riders were signed on 28 day contracts as I know it was stated with Ablitt & am unsure whether 28 days has to be run or can be terminated.

I would guess that if any club needs or is desperate for that change then do they take a risk as the rewards are not guaranteed.

I still think Ablitt should be at 7 as we can always swap them around after heat 4 if not working. -

Probably wise going with a guest as Stevie still not found the true potential of his bikes with a different tuner. If they had gone r/r, they could have named Sam Hagon as their AR(no 8) but they need to be on top of their game in their battle with Glasgow to be the no1 in the league, choosing their opponents in the play offs. Good luck to the Scorpions & get well soon Lawson. -

Come on lisa, you have mentioned this point a few times now just lately & with your age, sorry, experience, you should know you can not guest twice within 7 days at same club unless it is for your no1. -
He has just rode with Lewis Kerr last week after there bust up earlier this year.
-
I ave just noticed that MPT is down to ride in the Danish league on Wednesday, although we knew this might happen & just looking through the averages, there is not a good choice of guest & as the averages have not changed yet & MPT 2nd in our averages, R/R might be the best option meaning Dougy can take an extra ride.
-
This week will be the test for both of the new lads, Ablitt at Poole & Clegg at Edinburgh. Poole kept Ablitt at 7 all year so is this something that we should look at, giving him the easier rides although Newman or Roynon will not be easy(need to be against fellow 2 pointers in some rides. Together, our reserves could score the same as what Mountain has been scoring but give a confidence boost to Ablitt. Clegg not being picked for anyone towards the end of last year for this years teams & not in the NDL has not helped his preparations but as they say "fail to prepare, prepare to fail".
-
Again, I point out your error. Just because Clegg rides at 3 does not mean he is a heat leader, the top 3 in averages are which are Douglas, Palm Toft & Allen. If you are going to make a point, make sure it is actually correct. But then again, any thing Godfrey or Scunthorpe you like to make up our inefficiencies.

Yes, I think we have made a big mistake & my views are on here to read yourself, but please, if you are related or sponsor a rider, praise & big up him, get his name spelt right. THOMPSON!!!
