How would they work on the 2 tracks having different start & finish lines?(Edinburgh & an NDL one I think) -

I thought he would have a few AR(old no8) rides but not a reserve. Good luck to him. -

I know they have to be fitted to the bikes prior to the season & then would be able to be used, after testing, around mid June. I remember seeing a report that a rider beating another rider by 0.001 of a second but can not remember the placings. -

07.07.2023 - Scunthorpe v Edinburgh CDCh
IronScorpion replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
So was I but I have mentioned these last couple of weeks that either of the Cook's could have ridden, if available, but was against top opposition in Glasgow & Oxford & might have wanted a guarantee against said teams. Edinburgh are an easier team & Zach has guested twice against us for Birmingham. Good luck Zach. -

Even though Rob said after his injury then op the following Monday, he could be out for around 6 weeks but knowing speedway riders, back in about 3. I did hear though on Friday that he could be out for 6 weeks, meaning mid August so a 28 day replacement is what I would be looking at as we have not gone for guests & used r/r which was not good enough. Guests that we could of used(average wise) could have been either of the Cook brothers but if traveling was the issue then ok. 6.5 average now, 7.05 at home could mean a cheaper option with TJ at home. -

R/R only scored 5 & 4 in the last 2 home meetings. -
How would we ever have managed.

I read about a month ago that Masters had not been paid by his Polish club. Whether it has now been sorted, I am unsure. -

Lambert won heat 14 but came last in 15. Maybe he, or his bike, did not want 3 on the trot. -
So did Jason Garrity, hence him missing meetings & breaking down en route to Edinburgh.

Could/would he have flown out late Friday/early Saturday if he had an opportunity to guest? Similar to Douglas & Kemp as they ride for same team(if Kemp was fit enough). -

Another lesson not learned from, especially after going down to 5 men last Friday at Glasgow. We know Rob pays his riders on time so is it a monetary issue in getting guests with the amount Rob pays? -

A couple of Poole riders could have had the opportunity to ride at Glasgow last Friday to test set ups & racing lines especially as they were due there yesterday, even though it was called off. They could, also, have guested last night. Gilkes was another name that I heard mentioned in the crowd although he is riding in Poland today(so is Douglas). -

You could, also, say Allen lost a lot of points too & Jenkins gained a few but that is the nature of our track. Multi racing lines, not many "ftg" races & no need to fill in your programme after the first 2 bends. As many have complained about the coverage by Eurosport in that the cameras only seem to follow the leader, it would be a waste of time them coming to the EWR as you need to follow ALL of the racing. It is not about winning races but the lower places can be decisive too. -
It was called off by paulco at 11.30 ish yesterday.

And now for some good news. There is a story/clip in todays Daily Star that Tai Woffinden has passed his name/interest on to be involved in the Premiership in 2024 rather than doing Sweden as he is now based in the UK.

Will Kings Lynn be fined for fielding an under strength team based on real PL averages of riders used plus their RS. Lambert's average is converted but is almost the same as his last real average in 2019. Leicester were the other week in the NDL.

We could look at PL & I do not know his visa situation, in posts people talking that Poole could make a change & get Rew in so could/would he accept a guest booking? -
Most teams would love to have Poole's 1-7 at the moment!!!!!!!!

Only Glasgow v Poole(BSN Final) & at Redcar(Julie Lewis Memorial) racing on Friday plus a NDL meeting so a guest might be easier to find for MPT. R/R only got us 5 points at last home meeting so something to keep in mind. If we go R/R then we must name an AR(new no8 this year) to cover ANY rider> -
Atkins rides with a heat leader in 2 of his 4 programmed rides & against opposition heat leaders & 2nd strings so not much harder than before. He has done well when used as a R/R or RS rides.

I was thinking 3 Aussies so couldn't think of a Jack!
