What you have, also, got to consider is that if the team average goes up, we will not be able to squeeze Nielsen in later. The change for Bailey has to be last. After going with allthegear's changes Kerr & Bailey are the 2 NDL or exCL riders. After going with my changes, the 2 would be Kerr & Nielsen.
-
No, as the re-declaration takes us above 40 points. It has to be like for like or same plus the points available up to 40. The last change in our averages took place from 29/5 & had us at 39.83 with Bailey at 2.53. This gives us a change of 2.70 file:///C:/Users/User/AppData/Local/Microsoft/Windows/Temporary%20Internet%20Files/Content.IE5/Q297OGZ3/c17_issue_17%20(1).pdf

We could change & go similar to Berwick & go for a big no1 like Kurtz or Bellego but looking to accommodate Nielsen later, I would think it could be along the lines of bringing in Berge to do 4H4A, his average should then drop bringing in Nielsen later with another change. We could end up looking like Palm Toft, Douglas, Berge, Nielsen, Kerr, Aarnio, Wallner.

But the rule in place works both ways. If a rider is on a high average but gets an injury or has issues with his bikes, hence his average is falling, gets a decent guest rider up to his original not current average. -
Green Sheet Averages
IronScorpion replied to Max the rebel's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
NeilWatson has got it spot on. Ellis Perks 4th away meeting was on Saturday 27/5 at Berwick which meant he would receive a new correct average 7 days later(3/6). The averages are then continuous(rolling) using 2017 league meetings only & changed every fortnight as the rule explained. What you see on the website is the average changing after every meeting all clubs ride but as the note above states "These Are Not Official Averages" -

He has. That is why he will be a bargain when new averages come into effect http://www.speedwaygb.co/somerset17 -
Ryan will turn it around as he has the backing of everyone. Ryan once said all he does is turn up, ride the bike and had faith & trust by telling Reece what was happening for Reece to make the adjustments accordingly. From what I have been told, the new mechanics name is Adam but not sure of his background as a mechanic or ex rider.
-
I was at Redcar & spoke to Ryan in the pits & he said that they(he & his mechanic) are still work in progress. Dave Peet said to us that Ryan just has to believe in himself again. Going by those comments then I would assume that he is still trying with the GTR & has to believe in his backroom staff. Reece was a big loss as he was well respected by other riders & in demand whenever he was free but he has now moved on to pastures new to the top end doing Sweden, Poland & the GP's

Berge to fill in for Auty then Nielsen to come back when fit at the expense of another rider. If we do a full team re-declaration, I think we need 2 riders who are eligible or who have ridden in the NL(old Conference League) We have just lost 2 in Auty & Bailey.

On our return to the sport after a 20 year absence, our Scorpions(at Conference level) in 2006 & 2007 were a joy to watch. Nearly all young lads just starting out in the sport. 2006: W Carter(rider & coach), A Tully, B Compton, B Becker, R Dennis, J Auty, T Woffinden backed up by S Richardson & P Cooper 2007: T Woffinden, J Auty, A Tully, R Dennis, B Compton, B Becker, J Haines backed up by S Richardson, S Anderson, J Cockle

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! .........................after a weekend of so much bad news & weeks of bad luck we go to a bogey track & take them to 2 points from a win. Congratulations to all the riders for giving it their best. A big well done to Kerr, MPT & Aarnio but you've got to be in it to win it so good point by others even if they are struggling. Just need 4 or possibly 5 rider to score & some teams are going to get a shock.

Rene Bach has said he will only come back to a club he would be comfortable at so an old club not new would be his choice. Premiership riders have still not got true averages & end of May was mentioned in many topics. As there is nothing on the averages page saying they will change at a forthcoming date, who knows. Tungate (hate to mention the name) is saddled with a 9.03 average but has completed 4H 4A so his average will drop to 5.09. Berge, however, is still saddled with his 6.91 as he has only ridden 2H 3A to reach a low average of 4.55 Auty at 6.72 Bailey at 2.53 remaining average of 0.87 gives us 10.12 to play with unless more changes made.

Are their any unbiased supporters out there that was there last night? If so, why wasn't Garcia penalised in heat one for going through the tapes? Unsatisfactory start my ar$e. even the Redcar supporters in the stand on bend 1 were laughing.. Heat 3, Douglas was going wide & Wright was following but bikes do not have mirrors! It is the same as going to the fence to stop a riders run, the throttle works both ways. Forceful was evident throughout the meeting on bends 1 & 2 giving us some good, fair entertainment. Being stood in that stand, some 30-40 metres from the start line just shows how woeful we are at gating. We certainly need some tuition on how to gate through set ups. -
It seems all riders have to do 4H 4A to get a true average for this season & then the whole team changes every 2 weeks there after

It is ok buying one but a fine art setting one up. Ryan has one & so does Porsing at Kings Lynn. Both teams run by promoters who are the Chairman & Vice-Chairman of the BSPA who, also, had a say in the GTR being made available to the British Leagues & being in contact with Gerhard personally. Lindgren has had the opportunities to be the works rider for Gerhard with him having more meeting to get accustomed to the engine & Gerhard being readily available as shown by him being at the GP's to help out. Joonas Kylmakorpi, who has been helping out Lindgren in the GP's & abroad, has said that the engine is quicker now than it was last year(a running in period similar to new bikes & cars). Josh did improve his average at the start of the season, but, as I have pointed out, something has gone amiss since his departure from Leicester. Maybe it is a confidence thing or a problem with his engines and/or parts that he is using. Ryan is rotating between his GTR & GM so is not getting the best out of himself, mind games. Wilko, as I have said earlier, is struggling & keeping to the inside too much. Does he need help in the pits with a mechanic or fellow rider. Bailey just cannot get off the line & mix it in the first 2 bends. After that he is generally up to speed & catches others but passing is another matter. Two meetings on consecutive days for Kings Lynn & Scunny, 6 rides & no points. What will that be doing to his head, confidence, parents & sponsors. Let us go back to the 6.30 start( or even 6 00) as 5 30 is not working (I was wary, at the time, of who & how many were asked for the time change. Was it just the families & friends of the volunteers that help out at the track?). Even going back to Friday nights would suit a lot of supporters as many are now picking & choosing when they can get. The road works & infrastructure are not a problem now than 2 years ago. Entertainment is still key but winning more so, at the moment. -

Auty's confidence must be shot to pieces since being dropped by Leicester as that is when his scores have declined. He might of been thinking "why me, what have I done wrong, especially after last year", "Uncle Bates" might have had a say in this with his Sheffield connections. There might, also, be something amiss in his personal life or sponsors. It wasn't even a numbers game as it was mentioned by their media that it was because of availability. This was because we arranged many fixtures early & hence, they coincided with Leicester's race nights. It could happen again if Sheffield race away on a few Saturday nights meaning both Bjerre & Bates could be unavailable. -
Who Is Riding The Gtr Engine ?
IronScorpion replied to lynnboy's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
They will be sealed straight from the factory. Otherwise, how do the machine examiners know if they have been tampered with for British Racing. NO TAG, NO RACING. -
I can only go by what I have seen as it looks like Freddie is using bigger rear sprockets than most other riders. This, normally, gets you off the line quicker but the double cam gets you the speed. As the meeting goes on he drops a tooth or two as the track slickens off on the inside & he rides mid to outer track limits. Getting the ultimate set up must be a fine art as we have Douglas swapping bikes to get points, Porsing now struggling but the NDL lads seem to be racking up the points, against lesser opposition though.

Are we talking July beefy as I think most teams do not ride much during this month because of the Pairs, Cardiff, Fours & Team World Cup. Planning!!!! Can't Organise A Pi$$ Up In A Brewery. Then they make a new rule when no more transfers are allowed after the end of the month.

Is There A Need For Guest Riders?
IronScorpion replied to steve roberts's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Very similar to my post Posted 19 May 2017 - 12:00 PM mikebv has come up with some good ideas which work in other leagues, so we must try to adapt some in our leagues. I am an advocate of trying to have 2 fixed nights for the Premiership as it worked before when Sky were in town for the old EL to race on Mondays & Wednesdays. The Championship then can ride on other nights minimising the use of guests. This is difficult due to teams not owning arenas but renting. 5 man & 6 man teams work abroad so could be tried here as not enough riders to go round if doubling up/down still to be used. If riders are unavailable then use the IRR facility where 1 rider above & any rider below can take their rides. A no8 to be named in case of further injuries during a meeting where he takes the reserves rides if a reserve will take his maximum of 7 rides. If 2 riders missing then a "guest" to be used who is not in a declared team in the subsequent league. Unattached or riders coming back from injury could then get rides. Let us not forget that there is a new committee trying to change previous rules of running the sport but Rome was not built in a day. Some will work & some might not & what works in Poland, Denmark & Sweden might work over here. Their leagues are not perfect with non payment of wages, clubs in administration but they have, mainly, fixed race nights that work, alternative race nights for different leagues, squad systems, gradings or points limits. These are areas that we have used in some ways but just needs tweaking. Let us not make the sport too difficult to understand & follow but make it more entertaining at the right price.
