  1. This should be the case for all guests if a team needs one. Teams having a "fixed price - this is what we pay" could mean a rider turning up to cover his costs rather than the benefit of the team.
  2. The second part is true but practice starts with out helmets is banned with a £100 fine & has been in the rules before so is not a new one. You can have a clutch malfunction( happened not long ago) or can flip a bike during a practice start & land on your head.
  3. With the KOC semi at Scunthorpe being on the 29th, the 30th was mentioned for the 2nd leg & even the "Head Honcho" Rob Godfrey could not back track on this date as it is a "collective" that makes the decisions.
  4. Just a note. Were any of the Edinburgh riders fined for their pre meeting parade practice starts on the back straight without wearing helmets? Probably 3 or 4 of them.
  5. Which included a lengthy track grade & water spray when Pickering had 2 on the trot plus the delay in rider choices for heat 15.
  6. Unfortunately, you might run in to them on your way home. Looks heavy coming northwards in the Sheffield/Manchester area.
  7. He has been struggling all year, not just with knocks & injuries but doing a lot of the work on his own. Driving & mechanicing takes it out of you in mental preparation.
  8. You bet they would but, unfortunately, it is a 10 point dis-advantage.
  9. I stand corrected as it is a new ruling this year as shown in "bold" in 02.2.11 Referee items g) & h) use of Eurosport or BSN video via a monitor.
  10. I thought you couldn't use video replays of any kind as a referee only on the spot decisions as he/she sees it(or doesn't)
  11. Leicester aren't riding tonight. In fact, they are not even in their own play offs after capitulating towards the end of the season allowing Ipswich in to 4th.
  12. I can't see Dougy getting a max tonight & r/r for Toft only scored 4. Clegg was riding(turned up) & Ablitt scored 0. The others scored well but had the extra rides. I hope for about 38-40 which would keep the home meeting interesting. Need to keep them last places to a minimum like they did at our place(only 4).
  13. All 6 teams have raced on alternative race night of which some are doing in the play offs. YAWN! YAWN! ... this is getting a bit old now(2018) ........ & not seen since as teams are now adhering to racing on alternative nights.
  14. Was told league meetings take priority until play offs reached. Also, summer has been a wash out, don't you agree?
  15. Why aren't you mentioning your own Pickering riding for Birmingham multiple times these last few months?
  16. Even with C Cook in there was only going to be one winner so I was surprised to see that Zach was the only Pirate doing an average lowering exercise ready for 2024.
  17. I think I remember seeing it some where that once a rider has guested for a team in the play offs, he can not guest for another. I can not remember if it applied to Premiership, Championship or both.
  18. As someone has copied & pasted the rules & they were adhered to(max points then max heat advantages(3 x 7-2 & 1 x 4-5) the rules state it is a ballot.
  19. There was a ruling in that only meetings from 2021, 22 & 23 would be used in a rolling average. Any rider with an older average will start on that until 3H3A rides have taken place, hence Tai getting a new average on 2nd Sept. When Crump came back, he was supposedly on an 8.4 average for PL but when Plymouth wanted to use him in the CL he was reduced down to 8 ( because he had another year out in 2020, HEY, so did everybody) so it could be converted to 12 to fit him in.
