raining steadily here!!!! (10 miles south of sheffield)

but sheffield are WITHIN the rules .... even though the rules are mental !!!

roynan won't ride for them though (rightly so) therefore he is 'withholding his services' = r/r

which is the correct ruling !!! if your redeclared team isn't approved then you revert to your previous declaration

premature maybe but following all the rules speedway has ever used ... they may now however,never be the rules ever again !!! (no one in speedway was to know this at the time )

sheffields press release also said 'subject to BSPA approval' ... and they got written approval to use r/r for proctor at berwick - all above board by the sheffield management

he can't 'sign' for them till the sheffield/speedway-in-general issue (re work permits/visa's) saga is resolved ..., therefore his is still in the 'declared' sheffield 1-7 (until the new team is ratified) , therefore r/r is the ruling

obviously the people who write the rule book did not read it or sheffield wouldn't have WRITTEN confirmation that they could use r/r for proctor .... they then reverse their decision - but don't tell sheffield till just before the start (as i understand things) !!!!!!!! madness !!!!!! utter lunacy only in speedway

i don't get this, apparently sheffield have got written confirmation from the BSPA that they CAN use r/r for proctor( a rider who has yet to ride for them) and yet (due to a berwick protest) suddenly can use it for a rider who will never ride for them again !!!! only in speedway

they are nothing to do with the speedway,as such, they are stadium security hired by the casino/stadium owner dave allen (ex swfc chairman). anyone who knows him/his ways will understand that the security people mirror his ways

No ONE person is bigger than the club.as long as the clubs best interests are at heart then that's the only thing that matters!

only 1 promoter of sheffield speedway has ever told me that in my 40 years of attendance... and it ain't hoggy. mind you he had put his money were his mouth was so he was entitled to do so !!!

The words 'dignified' and 'silence' appear to be appropriate here ....not 2 words I'd usually associate with Hoggy but there's a first time for everything !!!!

the alternative being- slip away without saying a word and they're lost forever ..... which do you think a 'business' would prefer ???? yours faithfully, DEVILS ADVOCATE
