  1. obsessed! you obviously didn't see your lot trying to compete with our reserves at owlerton the other week, hardly surprising though seeing as (virtually) none of the 6000 seem to venture beyond yow-land!
  2. not the point.not how we want to get in it.what we really want to know is the selection process/criteria for being seeded ?????????????????????
  3. what utter rubbish!!! kings lynn will win this event by a country mile...now that their main rivals aren't in it!!!! enough said i think
  4. come on col surely you are not that naive or blind ??? question; which team has finished in the top 4 for the last 10 years on the trot? would you "invite" them....if it were an invitation event (which it never has been previously).
  5. once again,we've no problem with birmingham themselves only the principles /politics/personalities involved.
  6. you're wrong scb! stoney qualifying average is from 0 rides and james wrights' is from ONE ride only! neither has completed even ONE match to qualify for their average! "real time" at its absolute best (/worst)!!! LMAO at this madness (well thought out superseven supremo)
  7. nothing against brum (i hope they romp away with the league!),but against the amateur running and internal politics which make our sport a laughing stock. ps/ we await your rants when things go AGAINST you!
  8. why, when our top 4 average more than theirs?????we have the top man in the league at the moment,an ex peterborough rider and the current british u-21 champ in our top 4 plus a big away support! there is much more to it politically than that believe me!
  9. perhaps richard hall will get a wildcard into the ELRC (in place of perhaps chris harris)because he's a sheffield assett using the current (sadly misguided) criteria???? or could it be that someone(?) wants to eliminate possibly the strongest opposition to their team winning it? can anyone remember the name of the one PL rider who has beaten the current world champion(jason crump) around his former home track (peterborough)?????....here's a clue-he won't be riding in this meeting even though his team did legitimately qualify.
  10. believe me you are absolutely right here.when brum came to owlerton (relatively short distance to travel) there were hardly any brummies fans(about the same as rye/berwick usually bring).yet when we went to perry barr there were loads of us there.BSPA logic eh?
  11. when the bidding 'threatened' to go above juniors limit i was going to offer to pay the difference such was his excitement and eagerness to get that jacket!the look on his face would have made it worth it.thanks to hoggy for his auctioneering skills!
  12. Apparently you cannot double up for more than 2 years so ricky (p/boro and poole) is now ineligable.
  13. no air fence at sheffield, which has a good reputation for safety.
  14. ok,on a very positive not (and forgetting all the politics)...the chance of seeing the worlds best riders (give or take a couple) on the worlds best race track on a warm summers evening is mouthwatering to say the least! there can be no arguement to that!
  15. just a pity andre can't be in the line up to really liven the evening up....wild card maybe? a compton/steady rematch (and throw in nicki and hans) and lets get ready to rumble!!!!!!!i worth20 quid of anyones money
  16. stunning!glad SWFC are at home the same day to save me a long journey (and a speeding ticket on the way home!).
  17. each rider has 5 rides.two top scorers direct to final, next 4 scorers compete in a semi final-first two in that race complete the final line up.
  18. would agree normally, but he looked very tentative (for him!) on thursday and had his shoulder strapped up during the meeting.this negates his home track advantage and makes it more of an even playing field imo.
  19. andre is back!..... for tonights play off qf with dodge city and the PLRC.had a run out at bad vue last night, did 10 laps and felt no ill effects.welcome back captain fantastic!
  20. no it's a little place in the peak district, about 15 miles from sheffield.
  21. surely it's not april 1st? you would probably be nearer the winner if you named.....grieves!
  22. hopefully you'll see a owlerton at its best this time.this event is wide open, with andre struggling with his injury to the point where he may not make it.as for the gary stead slagging,it is worth remembering that owlerton is his former track and he rides it very well.never seen zetterstrom have a good meeting here and lemon doesn't do it for me,parker-hit and miss, bird not ridden here for a while,topinka-never goes well here,doolan-a dark horse,holder-fast and unpredictable,lyons-will not trouble the big hitters,pijper-a spoiler, the rest-no chance.leaving just havvy,if his motor is reliable and his head in gear then he's the favourite! hope to see many of you there...4th bend, near the pits.
  23. who's coming to the mecca of speedway racing for this evening of spectacular entertainment?where do you all congregate...hope to meet some friendly faces!
