  1. that is EXACTLY the point..he was NEVER asked to supply an air fence and signed the agreement to host the event with the words AIR and FENCE not mentioned at all! the last time sheffield hosted the event there there was no air fence so why should mr machin suddenly think he's got to provide one when it hasn't been mentioned anywhere?
  2. you will NOT get an official bspa statement (as to why it's been switched) because it would mean admitting that they (or one person in particular) screwed up by neglecting the issue of an air fence from the outset.sheffield accepted the meeting with NO mention of an airfence whatsoever and NEVER agreed to fit an airfence.
  3. what crap! never any major injuries at owlerton!the incident to which you refer happened when the lads chain snapped and he landed rather awkwardly.
  4. i KNOW .....FACT! sheffield cannot erect an airfence due to H&S and stadium time limit restrictions.
  5. air fence for definate and the continuing feud/power struggle between the chapmans and neil machin.this has been rumbling from the start of the season.from what i'm led to believe the original 'contract' between the BSPA and sheffield (to hold the ELRC) does NOT mention that an air fence has to be used!however the goalposts have now been moved and so has the meeting.another JC cock-up!this season has been a catastrophe and is sapping my enthusiasm for the sport.it's run by a self interested bunch of megolamaniacs that will kill OUR sport if they carry on this way.
  6. CONGRATULATIONS to bomber and david!going to cardiff for the 1st time (not a fan of individual stuff) and didn't think i'd have anyone to support (no sheffield interest unfortunately)....BUT I DO NOW! thanks lads and do us proud!
  7. andre has a successful business outside speedway so does not need to rely on his racing.having said that he would love to do EL in a doubling up capacity but is prevented from doing so by some joke rules dreamt up by the muppet brigade(sub standard foreigners are welcomed with open arms...and cheque books!).therefore he rides in the SWEDISH EL instead!somehow this rules him out of a british final spot!certainly beats me (and andre is dusgusted too!).
  8. lets have a level playing field with EVERYBODY having a chance to QUALIFY between now and july....please.
  9. I personally hope that it is all recalculated again so that EVERYBODY has a fair chance (ie/ no seedings and all injured riders allowed back into the fray).
  10. waht a brilliant day out!arrived at 1.00ish but knew it was a waste of time so didn't even bother to go in the car park, just went straight into the pub just outside the track.lots of speedway folk in there and a few riders.had a good chat/laugh with ray morton who recovered brilliantly from an opening line yorkshire (call a spade a spade)insult to earn our total repect, good on yer ray.then on the way back we eventually found a pub with sattelite tv and watched sheff.utd get relegated!what a lovely day, who's bothered about a bit of rain??
  11. typical brummie, can't be bothered to turn up for either match! oh well, looks like the reason for seeding them failed !!!!
  12. perhaps jonathon could have a word with himself about the almighty mess he has caused!
  13. these are the wind up bits right?.... poor track,no racing- and you watch the concrete cowboys??? and who, outside of tractorland, supports chappo? oh and i take it you are a well travelled supporter, but have obviously never been to the fours at peterborough????
  14. neil will NOT say anything publicly which will harm the sport.there have been numerous occasions recently where he has blown his top in private but said naff in public!
  15. absolutely 100% spot on and exactly what i've been trying to say all along....someone has screwed up big time OR personalities/politics has reared it's ugly head and "disturbed" the simple qualifying rules!
  16. my word it's true about brummie people! once again can i reiterate....WE HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THE BRUMMIES-ONLY THE PEOPLE WHO MADE THE "WILD CARD" SELECTION/DECISION. do you understand????????????????????????????????????????????????? ps/after saturday at st.andrews we really SHOULD have a problem with brummie people though!
  17. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> what part of..."what is the criteria for being the seeded team" do you not understand???? can YOU or anybody tell us fans what it is/was and when it was decided???why wasn't it mildenhall or newcastle(and why not redcar last year?)...don't those fans deserve to know? anyhow can i just say that i'm gutted for havvy and the redcar team and fans, definately not the way we would have wanted to get into the finals.
  18. and yet, amazingly, sheffields top 4 still average MORE THAN birminghams (and they haven't yet sampled the delights of tractor land!).that's what makes nothing about this crazy decision seem SENSIBLE.maybe if you could see further than spaghetti junction you'd see sense (like the neutrals on here have).
