  1. Richly deserved. Congratulations Chris Holder. Also a very well done to every rider that took part in this 2012 series, for making it the best yet. Captivating speedway round after round.
  2. Pederson was looking for that. Unfortunately his game plan didn't work out.
  3. Can anyone show the results as they stood before it was called off please?
  4. Good point SCB. Hadn't thought of that (obviously!).
  5. ... and why don't they do the presentations facing the back straight, where the greatest concentration of fans are seated? Seems daft to me that Sky pick up on the back straight crowd to promote the stadium as being packed and yet no-one seated there can see the presentations going on. Having always sat on the first/second bends, someone please tell me, are the 1st tier back straight crowd given Union Jacks to wave? There is always a mass of them there, unlike elsewhere in the stadium.
  6. It could have been this man, who looks like this man
  7. The stewards inspected ours at the gate. They looked to see if they were flammable and if not, allowed us to take them in.
  8. Yep. Shame he didn't say what he thought was the best club though.
  9. Brilliant photo's Slav (especially the one's showing my group in the front row, 1st bend!) Thanks.
  10. ...and when Hancock won one of his races they played 'I come from a land down under....'
  11. The British GP is now a team event? British GP...English rider.....Land of Hope & Glory (although not that evident nowdays!)
  12. I reckon it's something to do with global warming myself! My missus goes like a steam train when it's above 80 deg. farenheit, and by God it was hot in the stadium on Saturday night!
  13. Hey! If the Germans can send their football team over here, as they did in 1966, each and every one with their Helmut Schoen, who are they to complain about our Bomber? They could have offended a lot of people back then. But we Brits, we just let them get on with it!
  14. Agreed. And well done to Bomber, yet again, for causing them to write such a sterling piece!
  15. I wish I had been in the pub you were in then !!!! The attendance? Definately well up on the attendance of two years ago when I last visited the British GP, and from the noise generated you'd have thought that there were three times as many people in there!
  16. Excellent I all honesty, I thought C&D were brought in to sing a song to our revered scoreboard operator at Wimborne Road What a fantastic night, topped off by a stunning Chris Bomber Harris win. Well done Chris! Like Mr Shovlar, I thought the atmosphere outside the stadium was rather subdued, and feared that it would follow suit inside the stadium. How wrong could I be? I hadn't attended Cardiff since Rikardsson's 'round the boards' ride two years ago. That was a spectacle in itself, but nothing could surpass last nights entertainment, backed up by the most vociferous audience I have ever had the pleasure of being amongst. The first few races were entertaining, and they got better and better as the night went on, gradually building the crowd up to fever pitch. We have the riders to thank for that, of course, and in particular Scotty Nicholls and Bomber Harris. Both Brits rode their hearts out for their countrymen, watching from within the stadium, and from their TV screens around the globe! They were both, simply superb. The crowd were, simply superb. The action was, simply superb. And the whole evening was, simply superb! I'm not so sure that anything can top that, for me, other than a repeat performance next year. It will certainly be a hard act to follow, that's for sure. Thanks again to the riders, and thanks again to my fellow members of the audience for making it one hell of a special night out!
