  1. There are parts of the back straight that has extra new barriers and is rather narrow - enough room to stand and let others pass-by but not so sure there would be if chairs are used. The sectiion approaching the 3rd bend should be ok
  2. Does anyone have a race card that can be downloaded for this one? Should be a cracking meeting but a wee bit expensive when you paying for 4 peeps.
  3. Nothing to debate - much better meeting than that shambles of a first match
  4. Should be an easy win for Dudley Not sure if Joe Jacobs is fit to ride ?
  5. Finally someone else has said it - drives me nuts all this talk about training league
  6. From Bournemouths website: Bournemouth's new declared 1 to 7 will be Jerran Hart 9.50; James Brundle 8.58; Karl Howarth 6.94; Mark Baseby 6.93; Aaron Baseby 4.00; Danny Stoneman 3.00; James Sarjeant 3.00 Really feel for Danny here Mildenhall's demise has cost him a team place. Not so sure I would have gone with that line-up, there are some weak links with certain riders going backwards. Good luck Danny I hope you get somewhere soon.
  7. This thread is about the SWC Final – can you guys go and start your own thread – please!
  8. Totally agree with you - fired off an email complaint yesterday - waiting for a reply. Having spoke to customer services at 11.30am before setting off to work they said "we have no idea what is going on with Sky Sports toady as they will not answer the phones"
  9. You can for not listing it and not repeating it today
  10. OK - Obviously I know the result but having worked yesterday I only got the first 60 mins of Sky Sports 4 as 2hrs before that was all that was listed. I was gutted when I got home and a friend told me he had caught the end on Sky Sports 1 - I cannot see the repeat anywhere on the listings today can anybody help?
  11. Just spoken to Sky customer services – I was told they are as much in the dark as we are as Sky Sports are not answering the phones? I did enquire about the red button and was told there is NO RED BUTTON for speedway today? Have to go to work soon – getting very annoyed.
  12. Well Rye should be back to full strength by September - would have been a very close meeting with the current available line up. Bloody pi$$ed off with Rye and all the fixture changes this year. My niece gets married on Saturday 7th August so …. BECAUSE of huge interest in this can Len postpone the Glasgow meeting.
  13. ......... or they show grit, determination and commitment leading to help / sponsorship. I have a friend who plays on the golf tour he managed to complete all his A levels worked part time and still found the time to practise / play hard at his sport. He fully deserves his success and if any youngster had what he does they would be on their way to the GP's.
  14. Ok I may as well give a neutral view. Possibly the lowest crowd I've ever seen at Rye house - £12 to get in is the most expensive in the NL and I think Len needs to look at that. With no atmosphere all night (apart from a few very biased shouts from some Rye fans in the main stand) the meeting really laboured on - 2.5hrs is way too long. An injury hit Rye side were there for the taking and a poor looking Bournemouth team only just managed it. For Rye: Jerran Hart: expected him to go through the card 10pts but disappointing David Mason: Quite happy to just gate and sit wherever he is. Ben Morley: Withdrew injured. Lee Strudwick: Always feel he should do better than he does. Tom Stokes: Tried hard all night – not a bad start to his NL career. Shane Hazelden: Very good night – remember some Rye fans giving him stick early on. Personally would have put him in heat 15 ahead of Strudwick. For Bournemouth: James Brundle: 15point max – not sure he would have got past Strudwick in first attempt at heat 13 but made sure of the re-run. Mark Baseby: Cannot understand this lad – has gone backwards big time. Karl Mason: Scored his average. Kyle Howarth: Looks a good prospect. Dan Halsey: Fell twice and I'm not sure why – expected a little better from an ex Rye man. Aaron Baseby: Scored well but not sure he has improved from his Sittingbourne days. James Sarjent: Took two heavy knocks in heat 2 – tried hard after that. I am of the opinion that, and it is just my opinion, all young Brits have gone backwards this year, I really do not know what is happening in speedway. Lots of them just don't appear to have the grit and determination of the Poles and Aussies etc. it's as though they want everything handed to them on a plate and I fear for the future of this great sport. Well I've had my rant – all just my opinion.
  15. That team needs to take plenty of body armour / big cushions and footballer's magic spray – there going to need it with that track. Good luck and a safe (Fingers crossed after watching last Friday) meeting to all riders.
  16. Fancy sitting somewhere different next year, as you can't pick your seats does anyone know what row is at the front on the lower tier? I'm not sure how many rows they cover up.
  17. Can you please tell me the hotel - pm me if you prefer thanks!
  18. Ahhh! so Jason Crump can ride in the national league as long as he is not being paid for it
  19. Went to Cardiff earlier than usual this year and had a good look around the atmosphere in the city grew all the time and there was a great buzz in the air. Now the meeting itself from imho: The pre meeting entertainment was crap could even be the worse yet. The sound system was crap same as a previous visit there. The firework display was crap the shortest yet. The meeting itself loved it and I will be back. Considering there was all the hype about it being the 10th year I thought it was only the track / riders that saved this meeting. Maybe the stadium is getting old now and needs upgrading or maybe the promoters need to improve the whole package and make sure we get what we pay for, whichever it is let's get in right next year.
  20. I was in Cardiff and popped down to this one expecting a good old NL night. After being there 1hour with only 4 heats raced I wished I had stayed in Cardiff, the condition of the track was one of the worst I have ever seen and if I was a manager I would have pulled my lads out of it. Fair play to the lads for fighting on but it was obvious they all hated it and the accident was waiting to happen. The four of us immediately decided to give the Welsh open a miss and to be honest not sure I will ever return. 2hrs 45 mins for a 15 heat meeting is way too long and I could see the light running out. If you sort the track, sort the floodlights and sort the drinks queue (have to stand in line with everyone getting hot food) Then you will have a nice little set up which should encourage more spectators. Anyway had my rant I'm off
  21. Afaik it’s the National League – no where officially does it mention the word development. When Scunny complain to the authorities, TN points will be deducted resulting in a 4 point win for Scunthorpe – simple.
  22. Ahem! cough - I have already started a thread on this meeting
  23. According to both Newport & Weymouth websites Friday 9th is correct. Mildenhall's website have the meeting with Newport as TBC with no date?
