  1. Well it's 2-0 to Portugal Nothing wrong with that!
  2. So 11,000 people attended, paying an average the equivalent of 36.5 pence each entrance. As if! I really think this is disgusting - when you think what Darcy has lost and then they claim to raise a derisory £4,000 from a crowd of 11,000 - unbelievable! It really angers me that a Polish club can treat Darcy in this way!
  3. Well something is VERY wrong and I think it's shocking when you consider the circumstances!
  4. Why are you talking about Ellis? Don't recall seeing him on a bike tonight'! (By the way - Ellis is the only choice for the U21 reserve spot in the SWC) Well done the Roobins - although the Bees were pretty poor (Harris excepted)
  5. I made that very point to him last night and he came out the same old top of the league blahdeblah...
  6. You don't learn - do you? Yes - your team are performing better this year and you will probably make the playoffs but the best teams this year have strong reserves and that will probably be Wolves downfall. Well done to Leicester by the way
  7. Let's be honest - you did pull a flanker and he's having a shocking season. So you get what you deserve!
  8. Feels like a school playground on here tonight. Some "fans" are very poor winners!! Well done Wales
  9. Having supported Swindon in both the EL and PL (and Glasgow in the PL), I have to say that both leagues have their merits. It is good to see the stars but more importantly it is good to see close racing where you can "throw a blanket" over all the riders during a race. The EL has two races in one just about every race because of the EDR situation. I have to say that I really enjoyed last night (always good to get one over Edinburgh ) and I haven't seen (or heard) a crowd like last night for many a year (except for Cardiff). The EL playoffs used to bring the crowds out but over the last few years (probably because the weather has been poor), the crowds haven't been turning up in the same numbers and certainly not with an atmosphere like last night. Last night was a good advert for speedway - whatever league it is and I'm sure people watching for the first time may want to go to their local track to experience it first hand - can you imagine what they will do when they turn up at a standard EL venue with no crowd and no atmosphere? Up the Robins! Up the (Glasgow) Tigers!
  10. It means nothing that he is a Berwick asset - riders will ride where they want to ride. If he has a great season with Glasgow and he wants to stay and they want to keep him - it will happen.
  11. I trust Poole will be fined for fielding an under-strength team!
  12. Well done to the Tigers That is what a speedway crowd should look and sound like on TV - well done to the promotion and fans. For all the moaners, the rain had an impact on the track and track is usually deeper than tonight which makes for great racing!
  13. If it is £40,000 - that is still about £3.64 per head - surely not?
  14. I saw an interesting news story on the Darcy Ward Foundation website http://www.darcywardfoundation.com/NewsDetail.aspx?NewsID=8. Surely those figures are wrong? If they made £4,000 on admissions alone and a crowd of 11,000 that equates to an average entry fee of 36.5 pence!
  15. Well you know the answer to that one - you're getting as bad as the paperboy and the shovel! Ok - nowhere near as bad Just so we are all clear - no he can't as he isn't in any declared EL 1-7 (and he doesn't have a PL average)
  16. Probably because Leicester have the strongest pairing!
  17. What PL teams do Doyle, Morris, Sedgmen ride for? Answer none! As for that Lakeside team, I can't really disagree
  18. Imagine if PUK didn't ride for KL this year. Not a well balanced team and Troy and Kai (and a lesser extent Mads) have cost them tonight. Well done to the Bees - Bates looks to be improving.
