Best to go before they start warming up their bikes and you can get a good view of the pits. After this, best to stand next to the fence at the pits but you can't see everything. As Skidder1 jokingly said, the best view is probably from the new houses encroaching on the pits.

In that case, teams who fail to complete their EL matches should have their outstanding home matches awarded 75-0 against them. Can't really have any sympathy for a team that sits out the whole of June or doesn't start doing track work until 8pm!!
