I think he knows that and probably the date and time he was born

The "I'm alright Jack" attitude is one of the contributing factors for the mess British Speedway is in. What is the point in building a team to a budget when other teams have a significantly bigger budget? That's not sport - its domination but you seem incapable of seeing the bigger picture in preference to the "I'm alright Jack" approach - why am I not surprised? And yadda yadda to you too!

Still banging the same old drum!! Good luck getting Newman and Ellis on those averages.
-
Newman has a 5+ EL average and Woffinden has a 7+ EL average both actual averages obtained from racing in the EL - FACT. Nothing funny in that! What is funny are people trying to say that Newman is actually a 3+ EL average!! Not forgetting that Newman actually beat Woffinden around his home track too!
-
It was his true average for the season he had while world champion. He had a nightmare season in the EL and Wolves suffered as a result. He came back within 2 years, so why wouldn't you expect that he would have the same average? It was totally within the spirit of sportsmanship - replace a lesser rider with a better one who is on a lower average. No dodgy sicknotes were used!
-
What about a team of Lindback, Newman, Batchelor, Gomolski, Andersen, J Holder, B Kurtz If Lindback can't do more than one meeting then he can be replaced by KK.
-
I think everyone has been saying that the same equation should be applied to all EDRs - based on their EL performances. You cannot, however, give them all the same average as this doesn't take account of their ability (as you well know). As an example, a team could field Newman and Bates while another may have to have Clegg and Sarjeant - I think even you can see the imbalance there.
-
Well they are twins that just don't get on then with each vying for the last word! I think Gavan tries to have a meaningful conversation but gets easily wound up by Starman and SS - although he has calmed down a bit since his last break - probably because Starman has been missing though!
-
I think Steve Worrall was in the same position - spending most of the year in the 1-5 - and making a good job of it too - just like Ellis
-
Apparently you can in Dorset land

 The only nonsense is coming from you - quelle surprise!!

4.5 to 5 seems fair for Newman

The Collapse Of The Pound And The Effect On The El

Then those who didn't use their vote should have got down to the polling stations and cast their vote. Sadly (for me and others), the majority who could be bothered to vote voted to exit. -
Where are the reserves? Ellis, Newman and Starke have all demonstrated that they have progressed from the reserve berth.
-
Good job - the blue tints won't like it though
-
You are so funny

As they are for second strings - and heat leaders are falsely low. So it's the same for everyone - use their EL average with some sort of adjustments to account for anomalies. Interesting that you chose not to directly answer the hypothetical question set. Of course Kyle wouldn't ride for Coventry but thats not what I asked. What's your answer then?
-
Hypothetical situation - let's assume that both have the averages that SS suggested and both decide to ride for Coventry instead of Poole (regardless of loyalty etc) - would you then think that their averages were fair?
-
They may have been the rules this season but if this sport has any integrity left then that particular loophole that Poole has exploited for several seasons will be plugged. And Ellis as a reserve too I see from your previous post You are a comedian
-
Hahaha! You really think they will allow a PL converted average again? He has been in the EL for how many years now and you think 3.16 is a fair average for him?
-
I'd be very surprised if Kyle started at reserve next year - surely his average would put him in the 1-5?
-
Masters was never going to be a flop. In my opinion, he is the best of the current crop of Aussies outside of Doyle and Holder.
-
No Holder in the ELRC - replaced by Ellis. It does indeed look like his love affair with Poole has ended

You've heard the phrase "cheats never prosper". Wolves won the EL, Poole didn't QED! -

Tai was brought in before the play-offs and he legitimately replaced a rider on a higher average - absolutely no issue with a team strengthening up in this way. Antonio on the other hand was signed to replace a long-term(?!?!?) injury victim who wasn't a long term injury victim and whose average was manipulated (not by Poole but they benefitted and are therefore complicit) so should never have been allowed!
