I don't understand all the doom and gloom. Having honoured the deal done with Doyley, the team was always going to be weak further down. I am not expecting Swindon to finish the season with the starting 1-7 so I would expect Rosco to have some contingencies in place (granted this isn't fair on the lesser lights but at least they will get some experience) and I would much rather have Doyley in the team. As said by others, I would have also gone for Noddy Holder to give the strongest top 2 in the league but that really would give a very long tail. Not expecting much in the first month or so but will strengthen and then we should start to climb the table. However, if we do finish the season with our starting 1-7 we will most definitely be screwed.

Rye House already have

WHat?? You been drinking? A definite NOOOO!
-
And we know Swindon didn't (being a Thursday night track and him signing for Sheffield)
-
Who says that Swindon (or anyone else) will finish with their starting lineup?

In the winter months he sells The Big Issue as he has no Speedway Stars to sell
-
Well you obviously didn't pay enough last season
-
And here were all of us thinking that if Poole wanted a rider, that rider was overwhelmed at the honour of riding for Poole and would jump at the chance - apparently not!
-
Hope not - way past his sell by date!

As I've said before it looks like a Coventry team from a few years ago - certainly gone for experience over youth and in this league that won't be a problem and looks like RH have set the benchmark for other teams. As long as they have one strong reserve, rather than 2 average ones, they should finish in the playoffs. Well done RH

Hope he has an injury free season - especially if Poole can make the playoffs
-
I'm surprised you have both only just realised this. With our top 3 averages, it doesn't leave much left for the rest of the team.

Looking like a Coventry reunion

Interesting tweet from Schlein - where does this suggest to you he will be riding (assuming it's the UK): Rory Schlein‏ @RorySchlein3 Had a good chat with the new gaffer today... team looks good can't wait To get started Doesn't sound like KL unless Rob Lyon has been replaced? I thought Coventry.

Gift isn't a word I'd use to describe him

 Poole had a team that should have easily won it last season but they didn't com close. Don't kid yourself - no one is frightened of Poole!
-
He'll be considering who his second Brit will be
-
How about Leigh Adams and Jason Doyle - both improved after leaving Poole

The only reason? Nothing to do with the 2 year contract they agreed before the end of season?!?!?!?!

Why is it manipulation of the rules? Saddling someone with a 13+ average is just plain stupid and no one could ever achieve that since 12 is a 4 ride max! I think it is fair to say that Swindon won't finish with their starting 7 and I have no problem with that because the riders they will have will be a strong force! -
Some details at http://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/sport/14883306.Rossiter_backs____inexperienced____Ellis_to_shine/ Well done Rosco - a great start to team building. We know we will be weak lower down the team and I would give Morris a team spot this year - especially as it has been watered down. I don't mind a long tail as long as the team is entertaining and we have that in buckets with Doyle and Ellis.

Maybe they are nailed on for Swindon?
